Antique Victorian wood picture frame. The four corners have brass fixtures that depict paws with sharp claws. I am not sure what the wood is. It is tired with some scratches and could use freshening up. The joints are tight and solid and the frame is stiff and not wobbly. Antique Nautical Framed Colored Print with Brass Corners & Stretch Glass 1903
An antique. Colored print of fishing boats and steamer, with gold painted frame, signed Rose, published by National Art Co in 1903. The print, 8" high by 6" wide within frame measuring 15 1/4" by 12 1/4" and back opening of 14" by 11" is original framing, I believe. The print was done from the original painting by Rose, with a formal mat and original, stretch glass.the mat has a stain in the upper left corner and particles of dust under the glass.an outside mat incorporating the original would really enhance the artwork. The frame has ornate brass mounts on all four corners with the wood in old gold paint that has not been rubbed out. Happy Hunting!

The frame is gold tone with gesso covering– may have been retouched over the years. A few discolorations on the left front side. Some chips to the gesso at ... morethe corners and on the side edges. But not visible from the front of the frame. Opening size for the glass and contents is 10 inches by 12 inches. Frame is about 1/2 inch deep from the side. Frame and contents weigh about 2 pounds before any packing materials. ALL SALES FINAL. I am selling items that have some age to them. Naturally there will be irregularities and flaws.
