This very old oval framed photo was in an old farmhouse estate that we purchased. It is in extremely good condition considering it is quite old. Please examine the photos carefully. This is a very rare antique 19th century brass and wood ornate picture frame. it has an original black and white photograph inside now that has faded ver the years but gives it a nice mysterious look. it depicts a young girl in a very large victorian home facing up the stairway. the frame has very ornate cut out brass corners which have acquired a wonderful patina from age. it measures 13 inches by 17 inches framed and the photograph alone measures 9 1/2 inches by 13 1/2 inches. the frame is in nice shape just has a couple surface scratches to the glass. and refer to the pictures of the photograph it is faded and worn but does have a cool antique look. can be swapped out if desired. There is a black horse with a white spot on forehead. A snowy white horse, and a chestnut brown horse with a grayish black mane. EXCELLENT CONDITION. Not faded, no creases, no stains. On the back it is slightly age toned. It is marked on the back: Three Members Of A Temperance Society by Herring. 1795- 1865 British. So this would of been a salesman sample. ANTIQUE DUTCH BLACK AND WHITE PICTURE IN A FRAME OF A EUROPEAN TOWN. The very old and very neat wooden framed photo measures nearly seven inches in height and more than nine inches in width. The picture is what I believe to be a Dutch town in Holland but I am not 100% sure. It came out of an estate in a Historic part of West Palm Beach and that is what I was told. There is a large Windmill in the middle of the picture. A sign on the front of the building on the left says something"Cacao" something. The building second from the right in the picture has a sign on it the reads"Behangerli en Stoffeerbern" It looks like. The Historic buildings in the picture are very old and unique and have a great deal of character. There are extremely interesting people placed throughout this picture also. There is a three inch spot on the ... morebottom of the frame where the veneer is missing from the frame otherwise it is in Good Condition. Quite a lovely item for any collection. Vintage Wood Frame, Ornate Gold Gild Victorian Style, Black White Portrait 25x29
Up for auction is this great black and white portrait in a Victorian style gold/gilt wood frame. The portrait is of a handsome young man-there is a small water stain on the bottom. But other than that, the photograph is in great condition. The actual portrait paper measures 20"H x 15.5"W. The frame measures 29" H x 25" W, with a 5.5" wood border. The wood frame features elaborate ornamentation with a gold paint. There is a line of wood missing and a few small chips and corner wear-all it really needs is fresh paint& it would look fantastic! Please refer to photographs to judge overall condition& age. The back is also wood and the photograph is therefore nailed in. It's sturdy and heavy at over 9 pounds. The glass is in great shape with no visible chips or cracks.
