Here is another one of the most beautiful frames. Two parts of this frame are made from the redwood. This is very old frame and it is in excellent condition. Beautiful Antique Picture Frame Victorian Eastlake Oak Daisy Accents Beading This antique picture frame is in good condition with exception to a few areas that is missing some of the molded beading. And daisy accents. These areas are not that large however its best to view the photos. As for what material the daisies as well as the beading was made from. I cannot say. They are not wood, nor gesso. The balance of the frame is made from Oak. It's a quaint looking frame. Very pretty. Its corners are in decent shape as well. It appears to have been stripped, for some of the old paint remains along the outer edges of the frame. It's really not too much however,I thought I would point this out. In her hand she is holding a silver sugar bowl. She is wearing a pinafore apron over her dress. Beautiful depiction of innocence. This IS AN ORIGINAL antique print. You can see very sharp details in this image. Maybe it is a woodcut? We were lucky to come across it from an estate sale. We have not opened up the frame but it appears to be an oval shape with an off white matte surrounding the print. VERY GOOD Condition. Does have a vertical scratch in the image ... morewhere the dog is. A little scuff to the right of her hair, and since the picture is slightly wavy from age, a small crack to the right of her tied bow on girls dress. Not exposed to any light as it is NOT faded. The frame IS ORIGINAL TO THIS PICTURE. Lovely ORIGINAL coloring. A soft buff brown color with accents of gold color. Original old patina. Frame edges are a criss cross design and four evenly spaced center areas of the frame is nice ornate gesso details. Is one of the nicest old frames we have seen. Is near perfect(for an antique) Just two tiny areas on the right on the criss cross pattern with some minor gesso chipped/missing. The GLASS IS ORIGINAL TO THE FRAME AND IS THE OLD WAVY. STRAW LINES GLASS to this antique frame. Overall the frame measures almost 21 inches wide by almost 25 inches high. 2-1/2 inch wide border. The back print measurement is 16 inches wide by 20 inches high. Back paper had been changed by the previous owner, not by us is newer, so will protect your investment. Antique Victorian Brass Hanging Picture Frame With Beautiful Woman
This is an adorable brass frame in excellent condition. It is meant to be hung(see pics) with an elaborate brass bow and ornate flower decorations around the frame with an elegant inner pattern that circles it too. The picture is period although some kind of print of an oil. I did not take it apart although it is held in place by something at the top( and a small pin is missing at the bottom of the frame. The back has period silk so it's pretty old. It measures 9" in length from the top of the bow to the bottom of the frame. And the widest part of the frame is 4.5" It has not been cleaned. Antique Victorian bronze reef? Civil war reef? Beautiful and heavy!
Up for your consideration I have a vintage antique bronze reef. I have done some research on it but could not find anything similar to it. I am not sure if it is Victorian. Civil war era or something else? it weights approximately 3 1/2 lbs and the measurements are approx 14" in length by 6" in width. the thickness is approximately 1" at the widest part. It appears to have been a part of something else. At the bottom of it it looks like a screw is lodge inside of it and on the top side of the reef around 10AM and 2pm it looks like a hole was drilled for a screw. On the ribbon itself there are also 2 screw holes. One of them also has a screw lodge in it. It is a truly beautiful bronze reef naturally tarnish green in some area.
