It has heavy patina on the ... moreback of both brass trays. There is patina around all of the sides of the brass and in spots on the carved scenes. The wooden stand is in very good condition. It has some patina on the metal hinges. One of the legs has a missing supporting piece(about a 1 inch long little piece of wood) This piece can use some heavy cleaning. This table would have supported a lamp. This lamp is not included. Pleasingly solid brass trays are supported by a folding base to produce a two tier table. The piece is suitable both for permanent location or as on occasional table. When in folded position the table assumes very little space and can be slid under a sofa or such; in addition the gorgeous solid trays may be used on their own for serving and display purposes. The base is a six leg folding design with dragons head carvings to the upper. The trays display wonderful scense with floral and foliate detailing to the perimeter and a central engraving featuring oriental characters in traditional dress. Overall this peice of furniture is in good condition and will make a great addition to any setting. 20" tall approximately 17" width 10" wide lower tray 14" wide upper tray We are a non-profit store and this was a donation. We are fairly certain this is not a reproduction piece and is truly from the 1930's. We do not know much about this piece except for a previous Ebay listing of a very similar item that sold in the UK in Sept. 2012. Vintage Antique tilt swing wood art deco picture frame with sailor picture
This is a vintage antique Art Deco tilt swing wood and composite picture photo frame. It is of muted browns and gray tones. Some gild as well. It is 13" tall to top of decoration and is 12.5" across the bottom stand. The glass measures 9.5" T x 7 3/4" W and has a very handsome photo of a sailor which comes with it. It has felt on the bottom. It is not missing any parts but does have some nicks of paint(see photos) It swings/tilts great. At one time. The back was sealed but someone(not me) has opened it so if you want to change the photo. You can. I am listing a smaller frame and as always happy to combine items for shipping to save postage. Antique vintage 1920s 1930s era ART DECO silver & black picture frame w/ cupid
For your consideration is this antique Art Deco silver and black frame with a black and white sketch of a cupid. The frame is metal and the"matting" that one sees that is black and silver is painted. I have not attempted to open the back of the frame not wanting to disturb anything inside. The frame itself measures 6" X 8" and the inside measurement for the photo that would show is 3.5 X 5.5 inches. The frame and the paint are in excellent condition with the exception of an extremely small divet in the upper right hand corner of the frame itslef which I have attempted to photograph in the third photo. This will be shipped from a smoke free and pet free home and international bidders are welcome!

Vintage Antique Wood Swing Swivel Tilt Picture Frame Art Deco
Very detailed swivel picture frame. Opening is just a little less than 8 x 12(just shy on both height and width) This is more ornate than most other antique frames that I have seen. But still has the art deco look. It's in great condition, but I can't tell if it's actually old or possibly a reproduction. The back looks like it had paper covering it but it has been removed to change out the picture and cardboard nailed in to keep picture secure and tight against glass. Beautiful frame!

Old picture frame is painted gold with some wear to the paint. There is also what looks like some candle wax on it. From the reverse it looks like wood. Not sure if the carved looking front is wood- it could be some type of resin. Don't think it's gesso. Since where there is chipped paint, gesso would have chipped also. Outside measurements from widest points are 11 x 14 inches. Viewable measurements. Which are for the front and reverse, are 9 x 11 1/8 inches. The are no rabbet or inside edge measurements. Not sure how one would use this for an old print or other piece of art unless one could have a rabbet carved or cut. Words from the artist(me) I have a creative side which usually leads me to take on projects like this. I have always loved to recycle and create beautiful things. Sometimes these projects become much greater than I thought they would be. I have taken several of these antique swivel photo frames and reconditioned them to look almost like they did in their day. I removed the old paper backings. Rusty nails, and replaced any glass that was cracked. Broken or missing. I then cleaned them. Re-glued any places where they had come apart, filled in any chips in the wood with wood filler. Sanded, painted. Clear coated, removed the dirty felt from the bottom and replaced it, ... moreand then applied either gold leaf or silver leaf to the raised highlighted areas. Just getting them to this point was really a chore. Then I embellished them with what we call re-purposed vintage costume jewelry. I love vintage costume jewelry and believe it to be art in itself. So to recycle, I chose to buy broken pieces like brooches. Bracelets, necklaces, or single earrings to use on decorating the frames. I have shopped and bought broken jewelry for the last few years preparing for this exact project. Just collecting the jewelry was a job in itself. And the decorating was just as big of a chore as the reconditioning. I tried to match the best pieces in the best places on the frames to give a uniform balance and appeal. Some of the pieces may show some wear, but I tried to use the best pieces that I could find and replace any missing stones. I now consider these frames to be pieces of art and are fitting to show off your personal photos. This is a WONDERFUL. hard to find. oval tilt/swivel smaller sized Art Deco frame. It is in very good condition. No chips, or breakage. There is a small unsubstantial bit of paper lifting from the back near top this can be seen in photos 5& 6. The size from the base to the top of frame is 5&1/4 inches. the length of the base is close to 5&3/4 inches across.and the width of the base is nearly 1&1/2 inches. The frame itself measures. 4& 1/2 x 3& 3/8 inches. The swivel/tilt works nicely and stays in place. Although this is not dirty. I have not attempted to clean it in any way. Done in an inventive modernist streamlined machine age aesthetic and currently houses a vintage and original ... moreold pin-up print of a svelte bathing beauty that is included with the frame. These machine in design reverse painted frames were sold at dime stores and were typically fitted with movie star lithographs or military themed patriotic images. They were either meant to be enjoyed with the images provided or the backs open to easily swap out any like sized image as desired. We have a great collection of vintage frames we are posting on ebay- all are fitted with vintage pin-up images that are old original 1930's- 50's old prints they are included with the period frames but whatever image you wish to display can of course be swapped out as you see fit as the high bidder! This listing is for a beautiful antique/vintage art deco style picture frame. The frame has fancy accented corners and the brass has a deep patina. The frame comes with its original brown velvet easel back and glass. There is also a loop on the back to hang it on the wall if preferred.
