Pair Antique Mid 19th Century Silver Gilded Lemon Gold Frames
This is an almost exact pair of antique mid-19th century silver gilded lemon gold frames. They were both covered in paint and were professionally stripped to bring out the original silver gilding. As a result of the stripping. Some of the silver gilding came off, mostly on the raised edges of the frame molding. Also, some of the paint couldn't be removed, but it tends to blend in with the frames. Overall. One measures 14 3/4 inches x 19 1/4 inches(37.47 cm x 48.9 cm) It fits a picture measuring 10 5/8 inches x 15 1/8 inches(27 cm x 38.42 cm) It's molding width measures 2 1/2 inches(6.35 cm) The other is similar in size. Overall. It measures 14 5/8 inches x 19 3/8 inches(37.15 cm x 49.2 cm) It will hold a picture measuring 10 1/2 inches x 15 1/4 inches(26.67 cm x 38.74 cm) It's molding also measures 2 1/2 inches wide(6.35 cm) As ... moreyou can see in the photos. All of the corners are a little off and there is some space where each corner meets. Each corner also has some chipping. Especially the rear part of the corners. There's a tiny hole chip on one of the shorter sides of a frame(please see photo) Neither came with any glass. These frames would be great with old oil paintings. Antique American Early 19th Century Sully Gold Gilded Frame
This is a great-shaped antique early 19th-century Sully gold gilded frame. It dates circa 1820s. Overall. It measures 17 3/8" x 18 3/8" 44.13 cm x 46.67 cm) The back opening size is 12" x 13" 30.48 cm x 33.02 cm) It has substantial width at 3" 7.62 cm) As you can see in the photos. There is a lot of damage to the left side of the molding. There is also wear along the inner site edge of the frame, with the white gesso showing in places. There is chipping along most of the exterior of the frame molding. It does have a number of pluses. It has its original ring hook on the back. It has hand forged nails. It has that wonderful yellow paint on the sides that was used during this period. And it has great lines. It has what I believe to be the original glass. Which is very wavy and has numerous bubbles. However, it does ... morehave some light scuff marks on it. The finish has crackled almost everywhere. But I must say. It really looks beautiful like that. And the color of the patina is incredible. Pair Ornate Aesthetic Movement Art Nouveau Antique Gold Gilded Frames
This is a beautiful pair of ornate antique gold gilded frames. I would date them late 19th century. They seem to have an Aesthetic Movement feeling to them as well as a sense of Art Nouveau. Talk about a gorgeous pair of frames! The detail on them is just lovely. And the gold color is simply beautiful. They are very well-made and must have been very expensive in their day. They are of such good quality that they appear to be handcarved. But I believe they are applied compo. Overall. Each measures 17 1/4 inches x 20 1/4 inches(43.82 cm x 51.44 cm) The back opening sizes are 14 1/8 inches x 17 1/8 inches(35.8 cm x 43.5 cm) The moldings are 1 3/4 inches wide(4.45 cm) One has its original wood backing. Each has hairline cracks on them due to age. But these definitely do not take away from the look of the frames. They also each have a few minor ... morenicks on them and some loss of gold along the side edges. But nothing bad. They are unusual in that the glass was put between the gold liner and the outer frame. Perhaps there were watercolors or drawings in them originally. But there may have been paintings. I'm just not sure. They have developed a really beautiful warm. Golden patina. Together they weigh 10 lbs. 13 oz. 4.9 kg) They were definitely made by a very skilled and talented framemaker. This is an antique Italian late 18th or early 19th century gold gilded carved frame. Overall. It measures 23 7/8 inches x 17 1/2 inches(60.64 cm x 44.45 cm) The back opening size is 20 1/2 inches x 14 1/8 inches(52.07 cm x 35.88 cm) The molding measures 2 3/8 inches wide(6.03 cm) I have to say. This is one great-looking frame. However. It does have a few flaws. Mostly, there are about a dozen spots where the gold is chipped off. This will need some type of retouching. On the bottom piece of the molding there is a 1/4 inch round piece of gold missing also(64 cm) There are also a few tiny nicks on it. But they are simply age-related for an antique frame. On the back of the frame. Someone wrote in pencil many years ago Tuscan School 18th century. There is also an odd piece of cork along the bottom piece of the molding in the rear. Along the ... moretop and to the side there are numbers written which I believe signify the frame came from a museum and was deaccessioned at one point. Along the top molding in the rear there is a triangle shape with three holes in it where I believe there was one of the early handwrought hooks that are found in frames of this age. Unfortunately, it's gone. It has no glass. The patina is unusually beautiful. It weighs 2 lbs. 7 oz. 1.11 kg) It would be great for an old oil painting. This is an antique mid-19th century lemon gold gilt frame. It dates circa 1860s to 1880s. Overall. It measures 18 1/4 inches x 22 1/4 inches(46.4 cm x 56.5 cm) The back opening size is 16 1/8 inches x 20 1/8 inches(41 cm x 51.1 cm) The molding measures 1 1/2 inches wide(3.8 cm) It has all the great dots and lines you find in these old lemon gold gilded frames. It's made with old square cut nails. There is no glass. There is light loss to the outer front of the gilding along two of the pieces of molding. But when you stand a little away from it. It's not noticeable. The finish is all original. With no restorations. It's developed a beautiful old patina. It would be great for an old oil painting. I have here a gorgeous antique picture frame. This frame is from the 1930's. All original and in remarkably great shape. It is made primarily of real wood with cast decorative florets in all for corners and finished with gold gilding. When looking very closely at the florets you will see a few very minor hairline fractures- this is what would be considered"natural patina" The outer measurements of the frame are: 9" wide, a little less than 7.5" tall and 1.25" deep off the wall. As per this fame's age even the backing is real wood. Additional info: This frame was uncovered along with 3 antique watercolor paintings. This frame is identical to the ones the watercolors are in. 2 of the watercolors are signed by the artist along with the dates of 1932 and 1937. Gorgeous Large Early 1900s Antique Deep Gold Wood & Gesso Gilded Picture Frame
Up for auction is a lovely antique gilded molded gesso Eastlake frame. American, dated to the early 1900s. This frame has been in my family for ages and I've had it in my clean, non-smoking home for about 15 years. As I've downsized, I no longer have the wall space for it. The condition of this antique frame is very good. It's completely original with no restoration that I can find. Even the glass looks old. There are a few nicks. But you really have to look for them. It's covered with a lovely rich, burnished gold. See the pictures for the condition. It has classical carving around the outside edge with American cove and beaded design on the inside of the frame. Very nice antique Victorian gilt frame with convex/bubble glass measures 11" x 17" Opening measures 9" x 15" Frame in very good condition with a few small chips, slight wear to gilt on innermost edge, film on backside of glass needs cleaning. Frame has many little speckles esp. around outside edges of frame which may be intentional(not dirt) or part of the gilt aging. Beautiful frame probably dates to around 1900 or so. Convex glass in great condition with no damage. Victorian frame comes with antique photo portrait of a jolly gentleman.

Antique Gilded Picture Frames Art Nouveau Era Pair 10"x7" Opening Burnished Gold
For you consideration a matching pair of antique gold gilded picture or photograph frames. It looks like they were originally on a swivel bases by evidence of the small holes on the edges. These are a recent estate find as you see them. The inner opening measures 10 x 7 inches the frame dimension is about 12-1/2 x 9-1/2 inches. I believe they are hand carved because their not exactly a like. The raised relief carving show burnished gold gilding. The lower relief has been gilded but was treated with a roman bronze powder. Their condition is very good. There are very few minor nicks showing the red clay beneath the gilding. A couple of the mitered corners have slightly opened but everything is quite stabile and tight. Large Antique Mid 19th Century Gold Gilt Gilded Frame Mirror
This is a large antique mid-19th century gold gilt gilded frame and mirror. It probably dates circa 1850s to 1860s. Overall. It measures 31" x 51" The back opening size is 25 1/8" x 45 1/8" Since this would cover a lot of a painting(if you were to use it for that purpose) due to the large width of the molding, you would have to use some type of block around the painting to fit it. Therefore I am giving the site age dimensions, which are 19 7/8" x 39 7/8" The molding width is an incredible 5 1/2" This frame is not lemon gold gilt. But actual gold gilding. The molding on it is just exceptional. The red bole showing through is really beautiful. There are age lines all over it. Along with the typical age-related wear found on the old gold gilded frames. It has that wonderful old mustard yellow paint frequently ... morefound on the sides of early frames. I'm pretty sure the mirror is not original. But it's in great condition. It does have damage to it. Each corner has chipping to it. The bottom left corner has 2 1" chips and a 1/2" chip. Please look closely at the photos to see the chipping going around the frame's edges. Most of it is along the left side and bottom side edges. There's chipping along the inner site edge and the gilding has worn off there. Showing white. This is probably due to cleaning/wiping. Even given the damage. I must say this is one great-looking gold gilded frame! The beautiful golden patina on it just can't be beat. This will definitely make a statement in your home! It weighs 37 lbs. 10 oz. It has what I always look for in frames. That wonderful old world look!

This auction is for an Antique Chromolithograph of Mother(Mary) and Child(Jesus) in a spectacularly Ornate Gilded Gesso wooden frame with flowing Ribboned Bows dating back to the turn of the last century or perhaps even to the mid to late 1800’s. The dimensions are 23” in length and 19 ¼” wide. The Chromolith itself is 18 ½” in length and 14 ¾” wide. Please note the watermark at bottom left hand corner and very slight at top and left sided edge. The frame is slightly chippy in some places(see photos) But does not detract in my opinion. I read that these carved wood frames also have plaster/gesso, which this looks to by the photos. The interior dimension(the'shelf' that holds the painting) is 19" x 13.5" so you would lose about.5 inch from that in the viewable area. The external dimension is 30.5" x 25" The carvings project/protrude approx 3.5" depth) It would be ideal if you could pick it up. Indoor picture above Here is a very beautiful antique water-gilded lemon gold picture frame. I really liked this one as it has much wider molding than normal in these types of frames.The molding is almost 3 ins. wide.The entire frame measures 15 1/4 x 16 1/2 ins. while the insert rabbet is 10 1/4 x 12 1/4 ins. The frame is in fair/good as is vintage condition with the typical surface scrapes/chipped gesso/crazing that this finish is known for. It used to house a 1870s chromolithograph. So it dates to that time as well. Outdoor pictures The outside edges are not gilded. So this may have been a large inner molding liner for another larger frame at some point. Here is a beautiful antique Victorian picture frame. Circa 1850-60s time period, with compo floral accents and rope decoration on the surround. This used to house a antique chromolithograph. It measures 15 5/8 x 18 1/2 ins. in total, and the insert rabbet size is 12 x 15 ins. The frame is in FAIR as is vintage condition with some chipped compo off the top right, and bottom left corners. Also some chips to middle bottom rope compo.It has some spotting on the gilded( lemon gold) inner liner, and further scrapes on the surround. Large Ornate Traditional Antique Style Frame - Gold Gilded Whitewash 22w x 26h
This beautiful picture frame originally held a large portrait. It is made of a wood with gilding and whitewash on the front. Delicate flowers appear in the intricate design. It was purchased in around 1980. It is in Excellent condition with no damage. It would be great for displaying another large portrait or original art. Outer Frame Measurements: 22" wide x just over 26" high x about 2" deep Picture Opening Measurements: 15-1/2" wide x 19-1/2" high Weight: Almost 5 lbs.

Antique Original Victorian Incised grained gold gilded stencieled picture frame
Here is a antique Victorian fancy picture frame. Incised grained on outer frame and then a stenciled gilt inner frame. the frame measures 14 3/4 x 12 3/4 in total, 10 3/16" x 12" picture insert size and 1 3/4 deep. The frame is in fair/good vintage condition with some minor chips, some spotting in the gold gilt areas, some surface scratches and holes from nails. Since this frame is over 100 years old, it's in nice sturdy condition. Picture also comes with it, has a family with baby and small dog. Looks to be, two Letters in bottom of left corner, that I can't make out, thanks so much for looking and enjoy vintage.

1940 Excellent NEWCOMB MACKLIN style RED GOLD Gilded Carved Antique 16 x 20 Frme
Excellent c1930s Newcomb Macklin style Arts and Crafts frame. Fantastic mottled. Worn red and gold surface on the cushion style molding with stepped inner and outer edges. Outstanding condition with minor wear. Great quality frame measuring 20 3/4 x 24 3/4 with a standard 16 x 20 rabbet. Beautiful frame.and a tough find. You won't be disappointed.
