Murphy" This nice print is framed in a beautiful gold gild floral gesso on wood frame. It does have some gesso damage on the corners. But it has been touched up with paint and it is in all corners so it looks nicely symetrical. The print has descent color. The matting around it looks like it got wet in a couple places. Probably through the ripped up backing. I am not sure what is under the backing, but I did take a peak pictures behind one of the rips. It does show age and wear. Needs a good cleaning. This vintage print is signed and dated- Copr. S. Colep 3-15-42. It depicts a Victorian woman seated and a man standing behind her holding flowers. It is pretty pastel shades of pink and turquoise with reverse painting in black trim. The frame is decorative off-white wood with a scroll design and measures 6 1/2 across by 8 1/2 high. Picture subject is an elaborately dressed woman with a beautiful bonnet. Standing next to a man with a perplexed look on his face. She is looking at him out of the corner of her eyes, taunting him with a rose. The name of the print is TEASING. The off-white background of the print is complimented by the off-white color mat. Print has several slight wrinkles on the upper right corner of the print– see photo. Lower right corner of the print has a small discoloration mark– looks like a very slight shadow. Neither problem detracts from the print because they are so minor. The rest of the print– the main part– is in good condition and looks beautiful on the wall. The ... moreframe is a wood-like material– maybe resin. The custom framing was done around 1970– 1980’s. With a custom cut mat and backing around the antique print. The frame has glass and backing with the label from the person that framed the print. Narrow gold tone accent on the front edges of the frame. The original finish on the frame is in good condition– a few superficial“use” scratches on the frame. The frame and contents weigh about 4 ½ pounds before any packing materials. The outer measurements of the frame are just less 18 inches by just less 22 inches. Opening for the glass is 16 inches by 20 inches measured from the back. The opening of the mat for the print is just over 12 inches by 15 ¼ inches. This is one of a pair of two framed Howard Chandler Christy prints that I have listed. If you are successful on both. An antique. Colored print of fishing boats and steamer, with gold painted frame, signed Rose, published by National Art Co in 1903. The print, 8" high by 6" wide within frame measuring 15 1/4" by 12 1/4" and back opening of 14" by 11" is original framing, I believe. The print was done from the original painting by Rose, with a formal mat and original, stretch glass.the mat has a stain in the upper left corner and particles of dust under the glass.an outside mat incorporating the original would really enhance the artwork. Perfect for the holiday season. Grace your room with this lovely antique framed print of St. Therese measuring approx. 13-3/4" wide x 21-5/8" tall. The width of the frame stock is about an inch wide with original remnants of shabby paint in the decorative frame. Marked in the lower right hand corner of the print ST. THERESE, the lower left side reads: BORIN Mfg. Co. Chicago ILL. Pretty with subtle colors she is called"the little flower" To read more about her remarkable life story visit: SOCIETY OF THE LITTLE FLOWER Therese Martin was the last of nine children born to Louis and Zelie Martin on January 2. 1873, in Alencon, France. However, only five of these children lived to reach adulthood. Precocious and sensitive, Therese needed much attention. Her mother died when she was 4 years old. As a result, her father and sisters ... morebabied young Therese. She had a spirit that wanted everything. At the age of 14. On Christmas Eve in 1886, Therese had a conversion that transformed her life. From then on, her powerful energy and sensitive spirit were turned toward love, instead of keeping herself happy. At 15, she entered the Carmelite convent in Lisieux to give her whole life to God. She took the religious name Sister Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face. Living a hidden, simple life of prayer, she was gifted with great intimacy with God. Through sickness and dark nights of doubt and fear, she remained faithful to God, rooted in His merciful love. Engraved in Imitation of the Original Drawings of Hans Holbein. In the Collection of his Majesty. with Biographical and Historical memoirs by Edmund Lodge, Esq. F.S.A. published by John Chamberlaine, F.S.A. London, England, 1828 edition. Reference: Hardie p. 64. Hiler& Hiler 442; Lipperheide 984(for 1st ed. Lowndes 405. This and the 1812 edition are actually smaller versions of the 1791-93 edition, which was mostly engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi(1727-1815) Portraits in this series are engraved by Bartolozzi, Cooper, Cheesman, Facius, et.al. This portrait was engraved by C. Knight(engraver, printseller 1743-1826) after Hans Holbein and the very similar larger edition ... moreof 1792-1800, engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi. The factoids behind this framed version of the print that's being offered now. It's exactly as found in the back of an elderly relative's garage. The glass surface has been cleaned and the wooden frame has been wiped down as well. For some unknown reason. The back label says that this is a genuine old print, London 1812. I couldn't find any information about this print or series connected with any other dates except 1828. So I'm guessing that the back label has a typo or misprint, but I don't know for sure. Our relative could not share any additional information due to failing health. You'll probably want to reframe it anyway.or not. The frame has character, making it an eyecatching engraving either way. The outer frame dimensions are 15.25" across the top, 18.25" down the side and 2" back to front. Dimensions of the inner gold framing around the actual print are 6.25" across the top and 8.50" down the side.

The original hangs in the Riverside Church in New York. This print is a publication of Edward Gross. Inc. The print is in very nice condition with only the rear paper torn. There are two nails and string attached to the back. With some writing and a sticker on the back. And along the edge(a series of numbers) The frame is beautifully engraved and accented with subdued matte gilding. This is a lovely print and I believe it is in the original frame. The outside of the frame measures 13 x 11 in and is in great condition.The print has two stains which I pictured.

I can’t tell if you if it is a known piece of art. There seems to be a frame(the printed one) Within a frame(the gold mat) within a frame(the blue mat) within a frame the ornate wood gilded frame. It really is beautiful and would be lovely in any home. It is 16” x 14” The markings on the back do not tell me how old it is. The framers paper on the back tell me it has some age to it. Many green trees that have a unique shape to them. As do the bushes. Two ladies laying on a large boulder that is on the edge by a cascading waterfall. 23"X27" this is a beautiful picture. It appears to be old not like a modern print of an ol dpicture. I took it out of the nailed down frame to get a closer look. It may be a lithograph but I really don't know. It cam from an old house full of antques. The frame is wooden and has a lot of character with touches of green. Very unique- gorgeous framed art which appears to be in ink. I have had this for years and. As you can see from the photos, I added a claw to hang it. The backing is worn and peeling, you can see a water mark on the print to the left. I am NOT an art enthusiast, but looking at it, it looks as if it was done in ink- like old ink quill pen- but please not I am not sure. Ask any questions if it can help you. It is in excellent condition, still in it's original frame. It has hung in my daughter's bedrooms and now it is time to let go. The frame is oak, it does have 1/2" of the frame trim broken. I just noticed it as I was listing. I tried to show you in the picture, but to hard to notice. It is the last picture. I had not see it and it must have been there all the time. The picture has vivid colors depite of age and the back of the frame is wood, as was common for pictures this old. It measures 15 1/4" wide and 16" long. This is perfect for any Victorian decor. Antique print. Beautiful woman, red mat, framed This is a beautiful print that has hung in my home for decades. It features a beautiful seated woman. Matted within a very pretty shade of red matte. The woman is ornately dressed with lace and flowers on her dress, and her hair in tight ringlets. Notice the ornate shaded scrolling around the perimeter of the print. At the bottom of the print is“Viscountess Folkestone” The bottom also has a copyright date of“D.A. 1940” The print is of a portrait originally painted with water colors. The scrolling border around the woman was either done with a wood cut or with very detailed pen and ink(note the very tight, parallel lines throughout, shading, and stippled areas on her skirt) The frame is wood painted gold. With scrolling details on the frame. Note that some of the scrolling has broken off at the ... moretop left corner of the frame, and there are some other dings in the frame. The frame measures 17 inches tall and 13 ¾ inches wide. It is under glass and strung for hanging. There is some slight staining due to age– see the top of the scrolled border area, just slightly off center left, and a pin-point yellowed spot on her chest, on her dress near her ring finger, and on the border on the left at waist level.
