It's made of pine staves and has three iron bands ... morethat keep it tight and secure. We found it in an old barn where it had been forgotten for generations and it's untouched and just as it was when we discovered it. It shows lots of age and wear and has a fabulous, weathered look. Best of all, this churn has original, old blue paint, making it a very desirable piece for those who furnish their homes with as-found, country antiques. Once a common household fixture, it's now a primitive relic that has tremendous decorative appeal. The dasher stick appears to have been made from a tree branch while the churn itself is constructed much like a barrel. Even the splash cover looks to have been made by hand. As for size. This butter churn stands about 34 1/2 inches tall including the stick and about 19 3/4 inches tall without it. Not including the cover, the top of the churn has a 6 3/4 inch diameter while the bottom has a diameter of 8 1/4 inches. Solid, rugged, and sound, it weighs nearly 10 pounds. The wood is in very good shape and is free of woodworms, termites and dry rot. Still dusty from the barn, it just needs to be wiped down with a wet cloth. It's one of our nicest"barn finds" in quite some time! Country antiques in old blue paint are scarce and are good investments! Wouldn't this churn look wonderful in your home? This is an amazing mid 19th century(possibly earlier) American spanish brown painted folk frame. Great split baluster applied to flat molding with a narrow canted site edge and beaded outer edge. Original surface of dry. Aged brown paint. Frame is in excellent condition with minor wear. All original: surface, wavy glass and shingle backboard. Definitely a homemade piece that is solid. Has the perfect look for a fraktur, bookplate, watercolor, or textile. Frame measures 13 x 17 3/4 with a 9 1/4 x 14 rabbet and is 2" thick. Found in central Pennsylvania. Outstanding frame. This large vintage wooden frame measures approximately 31 x 15 inches. It has its original dark brown-mahogany colored paint and is in sturdy condition. It comes with its plywood backing also but no glass. I am not sure of the age of this frame but it has a paper label on the back that says Tudor. Tasha Painting No 63 SQUIRRELS. Antique Biedermeier Black & Brown Lemon Gold Gilt Liner Wood Frame
This is a very handsome antique Biedermeier black and brown wood frame with a lemon gold gilt liner. I'm going to date it 1920s. But it may be just before or just after. Overall. It measures 8 9/16 inches x 11 3/16 inches(21.75 cm x 28.42 cm) I can't measure the back opening size due to the wooden backing. So I'm going to give you the site edge on front of the frame instead. It measures 6 3/8 inches x 8 7/8 inches(16.19 cm x 22.54 cm) The molding is 1 1/8 inches wide(2.86 cm) The grain on this frame is just beautiful. It looks like mahogany veneer with black ebonized corners. It has great looking. Well made lap joints at the corners. It has its original easel back. But it's badly attached(please see photo) However, it stands up fine. It has some slight damage to it. There's a tiny chip on the lemon gold gilt liner along ... morethe bottom. The ebonized black square in the top left-hand corner has a crack going through it along with some very tiny cracks. There's a small chip on the top. A little to the right of the middle. There's also a small chip on the bottom right-hand corner(please see photo) It has a number of tiny dings/nicks on it, but they seem to just blend in with the frame. However, the ones along the bottom of the frame do stand out a bit. The frame also has light scratches on it. The colors and patina are really beautiful. It has its original wavy glass. It's a sturdy. Well made frame. It would be great for an old oil painting. Drawing, folk art work, sampler, fraktur, silhouette, etc. It has what I always look for in frames. This is a great looking antique late 19th century ornate Victorian distressed Silver and black frame. It has very nice inlay of brown wood and is a nicely crackled to provide a faux finish. Late 1800s. Overall it measures 12 x 14. The molding is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide and is probably made out of walnut or oak. It had some repairs on the back because it has a new wire anchor. And is strung taught.

VTG Antique Picture Frame-Brown-Gold Color,Cast Iron 11 1/4 by 8 1/4-Made In USA
There is no name on the metal frame it is in great shape. It does look like the stand piece in the back has probably been replaced because it is black and looks newer but still made from the same type of metal. The lady is sitting/reclining in a chair watching a butterfly. Very decorative with flowers and ornate design. I purchased this in 1981 or 82 at an antique store in Branford. Fla. for my Mother-in-law who loves antiques. The white stuff on the back of the frame is glue from the tape she used. The inside of the frame is 5 1/4 in. by 3 1/2 in. opening. The frame does have a metal piece that helps it to stand. Very heavy. There is no glass to go inside the frame but it does have a clear thick piece of plastic that was used. The plastic is in good shape.
