Gorgeous Early 1900's Art Nouveau Czech Jeweled Brass Filagree Picture Frame. The frame is 8.75" by 6.75" print size is 8" by 5-7/8" and in excellent condition- no chips. Cracks, breaks, or repairs. Brass is bright with a slight patina. Detailing of the filagree is quite ornate. There are 4 purple, 4 red, and 4 green rhinestones decorating the frame. There is also a very fancy brass filagree clip on the back. It has it's original linen backing. It also has glass. It's a heavy and very nice antique frame! Insurance is included with shipping. Art Nouveau Antique Picture Frame Here we have an antique Art Nouveau style picture frame. Stamped on it's easel is: Pat Oct 29 01(see photo) There is also marking at the bottom of it that I can't read(see last photo) Approx. Size: 5" wide x 7" ht. This is from my personal collection. I purchased this frame in an antique store in the San Francisco Bay Area back in the 1980's. I believe it could be made of brass. It has no glass. It has a nice vintage patina to it with worn spots in the finish. I have never cleaned it. It has an easel style stand. Final sale item. This lovely. Antique“Art Nouveau” picture frame features a beautiful, smiling woman, in profile, who is gazing at fluttering butterflies. The woman is dressed in a strapless, Greek-style, full-length gown and she stands among ivies and ferns underneath a tree. There are also likenesses of oversized lilies, along with an organic flowing design, on the front of the frame, that reflects how nature inspired the artists of that time. The frame is made of cast brass. And there is evidence of applied patinas; most noticeable is a bronze color on the woman's skin, and a green tint on the leaves. The frame's picture opening measures just over 5 ½” x 3 ¾” and the overall size is about 12” tall, at its highest point by 8 ¾” wide, at its widest point. It is found in good used condition but with the condition issue that it is missing its easel back so it is no longer free standing. The original screws which would have held the backing are missing. The easel-back is mounted with a spring action mechanism that holds the photo tightly in place and the frame rests on two small brass ball feet. There is an ormolu-style bow on the top. Antique ORNATE Brass Picture Frame Cherubs Angels Posing Detailed Art Nouveau Decor Nice! This item is valued around $800. It is very old and very lovely. The beautiful rare heavy brass frame fits a 4 1/2' x 6 1/4' photo or mirror. This item is stamped PLB& G CO. It also has what looks to be 1060 stamped on it as well. It was made by the Pittsburg Lamp. Brass and Glass Company and I believe it was created sometime between 1901 and 1926. The item is in good vintage. Antique condition. The pictures are an accurate description of the item and it's condition. The only issue with the item is the bottom right piece that holds the picture has the tip broken off but it is still functional and could be an easy fix. This is a nice collectible item. There are some age type spots on the picture and then some bending to the metal on the back and also on the oval rim but since both of these are on the back and can't be seen they are a little easier to take. I tried to clean a little section which you can see in the photos– it’s something shiny that much I can say. No writing to indicate maker or age. It looks like early 20 th Century with the Art Nouveau Oval look. The photo frame is 7 1/8” from the top of the bow to the bottom stand. Across at the middle it is 4 ¼” It weighs 8 ½” ounces so it’s fairly heavy. I have several lots listed this week- shipping discount on the second lot purchased if you buy multiple lots. Post Office says anything glass has to be shipped in a box so this goes Priority Mail- just FYI.
