Gorgeous antique vintage very large picture frame. Wood and gesso composition on this very large picture frame. Very ornate gold design on both the large outer border and smaller inner border. Don't mind that there is a portrait of a cute little dog! Just found today at an estate sale. The estate's brother told me that this was an old family pet that had since passed on. The frame itself measures a whopping 26 1/2" x 30 1/2" The interior measurements are 16" x 20" Very nice condition ~ I had to look closely at the frame to see if I could find anything wrong with it. And with the exception of a few tiny spots of the gold missing in the gesso, it is very nice shape. The glass was replaced when they put the portrait of the dog in it, as it looks like it is non-glare type of glass. BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE TOOLED-DESIGN METAL FRAME– BRASS TONE WITH INSET BRASS TONE LINER INSIDE THE MOIRE MAT– Frame and contents weigh almost 2 pounds before any packing materials. Frame is circa 1930– 1940’s– the print is earlier and could be partially hand colored. The frame contains glass. The original velvet easel back in pretty good original condition, a moiré type mat w/ metal decoration, and a colored antique print of 2 women, probably 1860’s. Raised tooled design on all sides of the frame– the sides have a floral design that matches the floral appliqué on each corner. Antique print which is visible about 7 ¼ inches by just less 9 ¼ inches. The print is taped to the back of the mat– see photo. MEASUREMENTS: from the outside the measurements are 10 inches by 12 inches. With a piece of glass approximately the same size ... morethat slides into the frame from the lower back side. The glass, the mat, and the print are held in place by the easel back. The frame contains a moiré mat with an inset liner of brass tone metal. Antique Civil War Era union folding photo case good condition, dates 1860-1880
Gutta-percha case is in good condition. Some wear can be noted in photos. Brass hook and catch are in working order. daguerreotype( image is clear, glass in intact. gilt colored tin frame surrounds likeness of young female. opposite side of folding case is padded and line with embossed velvet. This is a very old family piece. I am not an expert and have described it to the best of my ability. I am happy to answer questions and usually ship within 24 hours.

This is a Henry Buser(1840-1903) stereograph picture of a young boy holding a candle and what appears to me to be a bible. Possibly a 1st communion picture. Buser had his business in the 1880's in Cedar Rapids. Iowa where this picture was taken as the picture shows. The picture is in good condition but as you can see in the pictures that I posted, the frame has a defect on the top right corner. The frame also has red fabric around the picture that has much wear. Lovely antique gilt gold Victorian frame/fits a 14" X 20" painting/circa 1880
This is a really pretty and beautifully designed Victorian frame made around 1880. While I cannot be sure. It looks like it is finished in metal leaf. It is made to fit a painting that is 14" by 20, so it's a common and sought-after size Overall size is 19" by 25. Condition is as found and as shown. Has a few minor losses- the most obvious being some liner loss of the sand and gold mixture. While I do not see that as a major problem, it's an easy fix by making your own sand/gold mixture and gluing it in place. This is a really sweet design that will enhance any pice of 19th century art. This is a great large old hard to find frame in very good condition. It measures 33” by 40” inches on the outside and the site size(inside measurements) are 26 ½” by 33 ½” and it is 3” wide. Just like my other two frames it’s got great deep gold color and a nice shine and it’s in fantastic condition waiting for that special item or a mirror to be framed. It’s in great condition! There is normal aging and very little chipping. You will be very pleased with this frame as its not painted gold like many of the others you will find on Ebay! It’s shown with a mirror in the picture but the mirror is not included as its too expensive and hard to ship. Shipping the mirror would cost you more than buying a new one anyway! Inside opening- rabbet is about 14 3/4 x 18 1/2 and can be cut for more opening by a carpenter if needed. Wood is relatively soft. Hand made gesso ornament is stunning and has no damages or losses! The stunning frame measures 45" X 40" on outside dimensions and stands 3" out from the wall. The walls of the frame itself are about 6" in width and fully covered with carved flowers and leaves in wood. Plaster, and gesso. The frame is in excellent condition with just a nick or two and one missing flower on the LL corner. The wood work is not flat across but multi-leveled with each level having a different design. There is a sheet of glass mounted over the painting and it is raised up about an inch ... moreso as not to touch the surface. The charming painting of three children is in excellent condition. These three are the first Kemps children(there were seven total) And the boy is William Henry Kemps(1878- 1964) He was the founder of Kemps Ice Cream and the FER- MIL- LAC Process Company. This framed painting is quite large and heavy and will have to be professionally packed and shipped as freight. This auction is for an original Victorian deepwell marbleized wooden picture frame. The frame measures 12" X 14" and it would hold an 8" X 10" picture or smaller. The depth of the frame is 2" The frame is in good antique condition considering its age and has its original glass on the front. It looks like it can use a lot of cleaning. The corners have very mild wear and the thin interior line around the higher section of the frame looks whiter on one side than the others. If the others are cleaned. We think the color will be the same. We also see some gold paint on the front glass probably from an old retouch on the gold. On the back. The old thin wood piece that was closing up the frame is missing a section. This frame is offered in its as is condition. Please send payment within three days after the end of auction.

William Morris Very Tall French Antique Beveled Glass& Brass Photo/Picture Frame– 1880’s A rare and unusually tall French antique brass and beveled glass photo/picture frame from the late 1880’s. With a straight and simple top decoration. The glass measures 8 1/4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. There is a spring mechanism that keeps the glass and picture in place and it rests on two ball feet. There is also a small ring in the back to hang it on the wall. The glass has nibbles on the bottom corners. Not really that visible when a photograph is in place. These kind of sober frames with the straight tops were called a‘gentleman’s frame. In contrast to those with the flowing ribbons and flowers. The spring works well and is tight. The size and shape are very unusual ... moreand the frame comes with a curious photograph of a young girl in a national costume.
