Antique 19thc Pietra Dura Triple Frame With Easel Back Alexander & Co.Regent St.
Antique 19th century Pietra Dura(marble mosiac) dore bronze frame. The frame has an elaborate pierced and engraved design. It has an easel back. The pietra dura plaque is black with blue and white flowers and multi-colored leaves. The frame has a knob that opens up the frame to three frames for pictures. The two on the outside have the original blue velvet surround with the bezel that lifts out. The center one has the same blue velvet surround with an additional bronze rim and the bezel that lifts out. All three pieces of glass are present. It measures 6 1/2" tall. 4" wide, and 8 1/2" wide with all three frames open. The easel on the back is engraved Alexander& Co. Regent St. The frame and pietra dura plaque are in great condition.
