Gorgeous antique vintage very large picture frame. Wood and gesso composition on this very large picture frame. Very ornate gold design on both the large outer border and smaller inner border. Don't mind that there is a portrait of a cute little dog! Just found today at an estate sale. The estate's brother told me that this was an old family pet that had since passed on. The frame itself measures a whopping 26 1/2" x 30 1/2" The interior measurements are 16" x 20" Very nice condition ~ I had to look closely at the frame to see if I could find anything wrong with it. And with the exception of a few tiny spots of the gold missing in the gesso, it is very nice shape. The glass was replaced when they put the portrait of the dog in it, as it looks like it is non-glare type of glass. In exceptional condition is this deep walnut Victorian frame with a print of a child and young girl. I have not removed the backing but I believe the print is original to the frame. Some of the nails holding the backing board are cut. see photo) Frame measures 14" in length by 12" in length by 2-1/4" thick. Lovely antique gilt gold Victorian frame/fits a 14" X 20" painting/circa 1880
This is a really pretty and beautifully designed Victorian frame made around 1880. While I cannot be sure. It looks like it is finished in metal leaf. It is made to fit a painting that is 14" by 20, so it's a common and sought-after size Overall size is 19" by 25. Condition is as found and as shown. Has a few minor losses- the most obvious being some liner loss of the sand and gold mixture. While I do not see that as a major problem, it's an easy fix by making your own sand/gold mixture and gluing it in place. This is a really sweet design that will enhance any pice of 19th century art. This item is fresh out of a local basement where it was stored for years! I don't recall seeing one like this before! Overall. The piece is about 12 x 16 and does have some chipping, wear, and touchups to some chipped areas. One of the small brass half metal pieces is missing in the u/r. The piece still displays just well as it is. The decorative picture frames flip up. I'm not sure if there was wire holding them at one time like a magazine rack that would hang on a wall. There is a ridge inside to secure the picture in place. As well as little adjustable arms for each side. The Aesthetic Movement was popular in the late 1800's. It was known for its Far Eastern influence and prominent use of nature ~ especially flowers. Birds, insects, ginko leaves, and peacock feathers. The Curved Back design is well supported by the original easel back and strong paw feet. For stability. One paw twists forward, and the other backward. That is how it was designed. Antique Victorian Deepwell Marbleized Picture Frame 1880's Original Glass
This auction is for an original Victorian deepwell marbleized wooden picture frame. The frame measures 12" X 14" and it would hold an 8" X 10" picture or smaller. The depth of the frame is 2" The frame is in good antique condition considering its age and has its original glass on the front. It looks like it can use a lot of cleaning. The corners have very mild wear and the thin interior line around the higher section of the frame looks whiter on one side than the others. If the others are cleaned. We think the color will be the same. We also see some gold paint on the front glass probably from an old retouch on the gold. On the back. The old thin wood piece that was closing up the frame is missing a section. This frame is offered in its as is condition. Please send payment within three days after the end of auction.

1880- 1930 wooden Antique cribette. With beautiful sheen, probably walnut or mahagony. Wooden turned nuts and bolts hold piece together. Outside is 28" W x 48" L x 40" H. It does not meet todays crib-use standards, for infants. It would make an eye-catching display piece for home or shop. It is a rocker and you can buy a ready, made 22 x 42 inch mattress. Our daughter. Who is 50 years old now, slept in it until she was 8 months old.
