DESCRIPTION& DETAILS: Victorian Late 1800's Gilded& Black Frame with amazing Scrolly Patterns and with Oval Frame. Found at local Swap Meet- just amazing frame and very unusual. The frame measures 15.5" x 19 3/4" inches overall. The interior oval measurements are 9.5" x 13.5" inches. Also. I did wipe it off with warm water and dirt did come off, but particularly in the upper right hand corner, there are some stains that I don't think will come off, but I think it still looks great. shabby 1800's Victorian metal easel picture frame- ornate botanical motif of leaves& berries(or grapes) 6-1/4" x 8" outer edges. Picture receptacle is a little box soldered onto the back that measures 4-3/8" x 6-1/2" x 1/4" hinged 6" easel support. It appears that it was silverplated at some point- unmarked- the broken off corner had been glued on at some point- it's is included& fits well& is awaiting proper repairs. clean. Vintage French style Louis XVI old Gilt ornate picture frame Antique 1800's
This is an old antique frame from a Maine estate. Frame measures outside 18" X 22" Picture space 12 1/4" X 16 1/4" Lips are 5/16" I believe this frame is all wood because there is not any flaws or cracked gesso. If it is gesso moldings they are in excellent condition. There are a few drips of what seems to be white paint probably picked up from wall painting where it was hanging. Can see an old auction lot number on corner back. Old style I'm guessing at least 19th century maybe older. Old gilt has a brownish fade. Two of the corners have a visable nail hole.
