BlackPicture Frame-17 3/4" x 14 1/2"-13 3/8" x 10 3/8" Interior-1 3/8" Deep
A very nice solid black frame. I believe it is wood and pressboard. But I can't guarantee that. It has three hooks that allow for hanging it horizontally or vertically. It breaks into 5 pieces-the inner slope piece of the frame is in two parts, but is held together by outer piece(Star pattern in third picture is from overhead lights reflecting) There are dings, nicks, and scrapes on several spots around the frame. They are smaller. One corner looked like it had been broken and glued before I got it and one was broken when I got it, that one was glued. It would look good with a new coat of paint or would be good for a custom paint design. A picture is not included.

This is a beautiful Birds Eye Maple frame from. I believe, the 1850s. It does have a few chips, as pictured, but is otherwise in great shape. It also has a metalic toned fillet that is a color somewhere between gold and silver. It also contains a print from the Harper's Weekly from June 6, 1857. This antique frame is old. Used, and abused. It has plenty of patina including dirt, dust, grime, scuffs, scratches, and general wear/damage. It's kind of an ugly green with the brass decorations on the corners painted ugly green as well. This came from a very old estate. It has not been cleaned or repaired in any way. It's actually kind of cool in a weird way just how much age has this frame has. It probably dates to the early 1900's.
