The lid is huge and beutifully decorated. The hinge works perfectly and the sterling lid is secure to the bottle. The inside of the lid still retains it's nice gold wash. There is a dent to the lid as you will see in the photos. The bottle is free of chips. Cracks& repairs. However, whatever liquid used to be stored in this bottle has left a residue to the top 1/4 of the bottle. It has also left the rest of the bottle with an slightly iridescent cast to it. Very strange but you will see what I mean in the photos. This is one of those bottles you almost pass up but then just due to it's size and lovely details in the lid and cut glass you decide it's worth the trouble. I have not attempted to remove the"residue" so perhaps some of it will come off ~ I do not know. I have broken too many a bottle while trying to scrub them up. So now just a light dusting and if they are presentable- I leave the major cleaning to you. The bottle is heavy and I imagine just the silver lid alone would be worth a bit of money. The lid is 2 1/4 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches across at the widest. Shoot. Just the lid is as big as some sterling silver bottles alone! The total height of the bottle(lid& glass) is 6 1/4 inches tall and the width across the widest part is 3 1/2 inches. Each shaker measures 4" high and ... moreabout 2" in diameter at the widest part. The lids have a couple of very small dents. The salt lid looks like someone couldn't open it, and used some sort of tool to grip the lid, causing little dents on opposite sides of the lid, just above the threads. The salt shaker also has a couple of very tiny flakes at the edge of the base, and the pepper shaker has a little bump just above the bottom, which occurred in the molding of the glass. These shakers were molded, then cut, and there are several very tiny imperfections in the making, which can be seen with close examination using a magnifying glass. Some of these are shown in the photographs, but they are hard to see. If you have any questions. Or need more information, please don't hesitate to ask before bidding. VERY RARE Antique Vintage Victorian Silver Thimble Etui cut glass scent bottle
Incredible silver Thimble forming a case(étui) discretely hiding a miniature cut glass bottle to hold scent or perfume. To perhaps refresh the'Lady' while sewing? There are no hallmarks that I can see but a Jeweller has assured me it is solid Silver. Similarly there is no size marked on the Thimble- Measurements: Diameter base thimble 1.6cms Diameter base etui 1.8cms Diameter crown of Thimble 1.2cms Height thimble 2.5cms Height étui 3.5cms The Thimble& Etui are in Excellent condition. Just the silver could do with some polishing, but I would rather leave that to the'experts' See the pretty engraved pattern around the center of the Thimble with also a'shield' engraved ready for initials! The Thimble screws onto the base holding the scent bottle. This screw works perfectly. The indentations on the base ... moreof the Etui I feel sure are there for a reason. But I have found no information about them. The Miniature cut glass bottle has 9 facets with more. Even smaller, shoulder' facets. The stopper is in perfect condition and if you look closely you will see a pattern built into the top from air bubbles. I presume. The lower part of the stopper has been ground so as to fit well. Antique/ Vintage Purple Cased Cut to Clear Glass Lead Crystal Small Bowl This is a wonderful lead crystal glass bowl. Cased in a thin layer of purple glass and then cut through this to the clear glass in a traditional diamonds pattern. The base is ground and polished, but the rim is rounded, not cut. Small but Lovely. I'd date this to between about 1890 and 1940. Size: about 8 cm wide x 6 cm high( 3 1/8 x 2 3/8 inches) Weight: 101 grammes Condition: Good- some light wear to the base and rim. Only some tiny nibbles here and there, quite expected of a piece of this one's age. Both the jar and the stopper have scratched numbers- on the neck the number 84. On the stopper the number 49. Maybe the stopper was changed at one time, as this stopper fits very well though sits slightly proud of the jar. The stopper was made in an early 3-part mould- the mould lines can just be seen. There is a line of either frit or bubbles within the glass, nothing untoward just a reminder of the age of this piece. The jar stands 4.75" high. 6.25" high with the stopper. This is a lovely vintage(probably Victorian) cut glass small decanter with stopper. The decanter is nicely cut around the neck. Centre and sides. The rim is a very attractive petal design. There is a small chip in the shaped rim which is hard to spot and doesn't detract from it's displaying qualities. The stopper(not sure if it is the original) has a small slither of glass missing down the side. This is a lovely collectable piece. You could use the bottom portion as an ashtray. Middle section measures 16" round; height about 3 1/2" including the metal piece. Its in perfect condition to my eyes; I see no cracks, chips or any other impurities on the dish. It is heavy and very nice. I bought it at a yard sale where the gentleman selling it said it was his grandmother's. The house they lived in was seven generations and it was stocked with items from way back when! VINTAGE CUT CLASS ETCHED HEXAGON CRUETS
Vintage matched beutifully etched cruets in very nice condition. 9 1/2" tall x 3" wide at the base. Hexagon shaped with etching in a chain design down each ridge. Tops also with similar designs. Only damage to the pair are chips on the interior cruet tops ends where they fit into the mouth. They both seal well and the damage is not noticable when the tops are in place. Appear to be handblown with small circular tips on the bases. This is an excellent pair of decorative and useful cruets.

It is raised on three legs and consists of excellent pattern and cutting. It measures 7 5/8" in diameter and is 4" high. It has some minor chips on the saw tooth rim. Unusual Form Vintage Antique Cut Etched Glass Cruet Sterling Silver Stopper
This very unusual cruet stands 6-1/2 inches tall and is about 6 inches wide. Cut glass and etched with a grape design. It has a long spout and a bent neck. The sterling top of the stopper is an acorn shape. The lower edge of the acorn has a tiny dent and also a very small hallmark(or 2 hallmarks, one a mis-striket? I am unable to decipher the hallmark. The glass portion of the stopper has a thin, shallow channel running lengthwise. It is clearly from manufacture and is not a crack and does not compromise the piece, Very interesting and unusual. I was only able to find one other like it on the internet.

This lovely two piece set consists of a quality decorative ashtray and lighter. They are made of"heavy" mold formed and cut glass. They are decorated in a tasteful diamond pattern.see pics) The ashtray is very thick and heavy. It measures 2" tall from base to rim and 6" in diameter. The overall thickness of the rim is 3/4" The lighter is 3 7/8" tall, with a nice decorative brass tone hinge. It has a nice lighter captured inside. Went to the flea market, and still have some items from the weeks ago farm estate auction- there’s lots of neat stuff that you don‘t want to miss! Here I go again. Buying something that I know nothing about(glass) just because of how pretty it is- and this one is! Perfect for a ring bowl or trinket dish, I thought, this lovely cut glass bowl in the shape of a basket is both a deep purple as well as a clear glass. That purple color is actually glass- I want to point out, not a finish over clearl glass- see photo 10 where you can see the swirls of the bottom of the purple. It's vintage, if not antique, and it's a small enough size to fit just about anywhere measuring 3 3/4" ... moreby 2 3/4" across the top, 2" high at the sides of the bowl and 4 1/4" high at the top of the handle. I think it's heavy for its size too, at 1/2 lb. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or issues that I can find. It's dusty/dirty, especially on the inside, and it needs a good bath- I have not cleaned or messed with the as found patina in any way. I'm betting it will REALLY sparkle when cleaned up a little- either way, it's a beautiful piece- don'tcha LOVE the purple? Please ask if you have any questions. VINTAGE CUT GLASS KNIFE REST Up for sale is a Vintage Cut Glass Knife Rest measuring almost 5 inches in length. It has a pattern of stars and flowers around each round end. The antique Knife Rest is larger than usual so it may have been used to rest serving pieces such as a meat knife and fork or cake knife and server. As you can see in the second photo. It has a small chip at one end. There are other signs of wear but, in all, it is in good condition. The glass is clear with no cloudiness.
