One bottle seems to have original stopper. The rest are missing their toppers. The castor unit is made of silver electroplated metal. The handle seems to be missing its electroplating probably from use. Size: The entire set stands 14 inches tall 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The cruet bottle with stopper is 7" tall Castor sets were popular from the 1890s to the first world war. And were used in the center of every dining table. Condition: Very good pre-owned item. Silverplate has worn on handles and in other places on the piece. 4 bottles on missing their toppers. Every bo ttle has a different pattern. So they may not all be original t o the castor set. But from the same era- do not know. This is a rare find and can be a great piece to add to your collection. I am not an antique dealer so if you have any questions at all. The Serving Dish is the only piece I have ever had marked Fraget and with a bit of reasearch I found this was a Polish(then part of Russia) Silver Company know for very fine quality workmanship and later became part of the famous WMF Company. So you know the quality is top notch. The Centerpiece Serving Dish consists of a very large Silver Plate frame or stand, modeled to look like Bamboo and featuring large Fruit and Leaf patterns as well. The Frame is quite large and very impressive measuring 10-1/2" tall by 13-1/4" across. There is also 3 lovely Cut Glass Dishes that fit in this frame and they measure 7" long by 4-3/4" wide and sit 1-1/4" deep. The Frame is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks or repairs and looks to have no wear to the Silver Plate down to the base metal. The Glass Dishes are also in good order, one has a chip and cracked area as seen in our photos, another just has one small chip and the 3rd is in excellent condition.

Incredible silver Thimble forming a case(étui) discretely hiding a miniature cut glass bottle to hold scent or perfume. To perhaps refresh the'Lady' while sewing? There are no hallmarks that I can see but a Jeweller has assured me it is solid Silver. Similarly there is no size marked on the Thimble- Measurements: Diameter base thimble 1.6cms Diameter base etui 1.8cms Diameter crown of Thimble 1.2cms Height thimble 2.5cms Height étui 3.5cms The Thimble& Etui are in Excellent condition. Stunning Victorian cut glass/crystal shaft and globe decanter with a silver? silver plated collar(not marked) Scale cut neck, lens-flute and diamond cut body with a solid fasceted stopper, stands just over 14" tall including the stopper. Small fine etched initials LD To AR and date 1861, apart from some minor nibbles to the end of the stopper and scuffs to the diamond cuts on the globe the glass is in excellent condition with no major damage. Victorian Sterling Silver Devil Face Ruby Red Glass Eyes Chatelaine Button Hook
The grotesque face pictured is a Victorian Devil Face button hook from an antique chatelaine. It probably dates back to the late 1800s or even earlier. This is a very unusual and RARE piece. Lucifer's beady eyes appear to be ruby red glass. I don't think it would be too easy coming across this sterling silver Satan again. The piece measures 2.5" L x 3/8" from ear to ear. Antique Etched Glass Liqueur Decanter with Silver Mount - London Victorian c1893
A late 19th Century liqueur sized decanter in the claret jug style. The body is of attractive conical form and is beautifully etched in intaglio style with swags and stylised flowers. The glass section is unmarked but would clearly appear to be a Stourbridge factory. Perhaps Stevens& Williams. The solid silver mount is of good heavy gauge and comes with a lid having a thumb lift. The handle is of looped form attached at the top only. The mount has London Hallmarks for 1893. It also has the makers mark for Horace Woodward& Co. The silver marks are a little rubbed as you can see in the close up image but can still be made out well enough to read. A very stylish example with the extra feature of the intaglio style cutting to the high quality body. Hinge and lid functioning well and this item would be ok to use as well as display. Clear Cranberry Glass Muffineer Sugar Shaker EPNS Lid Victorian silver pierced
We have up for auction this very nice vintage blown glass antique sugar shaker or muffineer. This clear cranberry colored shaker has a 12 sides flat base with inwards rising 12 straight sides to a shoulder. Which rises to a recessed neck covered with a metal rim. A pull off top or lid with a central finial fits right on the metal rim. The lid is marked EPNS(Electro Plated Nickel Silver) and has many relatively large holes of various shapes(circular, commas) The bottom of the shaker is transparent and has been ground to a nice smooth finish. There is a small nick out of one corner near the top. And bottom rim has a slight roughness to it in a couple spots going around, but does not detract from such a nice early piece. No other cracks. A late Victorian claret jug of round form with a Hallmarked silver mount. The body is decorated with arced panels of cross cut diamonds interspersed with fans. The body is also gently ribbed which gives a nice optical effect around the jug. The silver is Hallmarked for London 1891. It also has the makers mark EF HT which is for Edgar Finley& Hugh Taylor(Horace Woodward& Co) of Birmingham. A nice looking example and a little more unusual being of round form. The Bottle is one the most unusual examples I have sold in a very long time, featuring a hinged center section that opens to reveal a Pill Box. The Glass Body is very finely Cut in nice Diamond patterns ... moreand is a deep rich Cobalt Blue color, honestly much nicer than my photos show. The Silver portions are not marked, but do test as being Sterling Silver. The Center section also shows traces of being Gold Gilt on the outside and is still richly Gold Gilded on the inside. The Bottle is in very fine all original condition with some small dents to the one end but no chips, cracks or repairs to the Glass. The one end features a hinged top with the tiny Glass Stopper inside and the other a screw off end with a Cork liner inside so it never had a stopper. The Bottle is a great size for use or display measuring 4-1/2" long. I seldom have the chance to sell these Victorian Double Ended Perfume or Scent Bottles and I doubt you will find another with the Bill Box portion up for auction, especially with no reserve! 19thC Victorian Cranberry Glass 3-pce Silver Plated Faceted Cruet Set A really pretty antique cruet set of Victorian cranberry glass- likely to have been made in England in the late 19th or early 20th century. The three-piece set comprises a salt. Pepper and lidded mustard jar with mustard spoon. The pieces are panel cut with numerous faces, and have silver plated EPNS lids. The mustard has a neat little finial and an elegant curled open handle. The set is in very good condition. With no damage to the glass, just a couple of very tiny fleabites on the rims beneath the lids- the pepper lid has a couple of tiny dents, and there is slight tarnishing to the bottom edges of the silver plate- but the pieces are all nice and clean and fully usable. The lids are all marked EPNS, and the spoon(which may not be original to the set) is marked with J ... moreG Graves, Sheffield, and a shield with 4 letters, difficult to read. The label on the coiled string says BISCUITS and can be unscrewed to clean. An all round quality piece which would grace any kitchen, although would not hold many biscuits by today's standards. This top quality antique bon bon dish has an aqua blue glass dish. The dish is just over 5 inches diameter. The frame is supported by three caryatid type figures; the frame has feet which end in a slayed shell like design. The lid has a ribbed design with a pineapple finial. The height is 3 ¾ inches high to the top of the rim. The height is 6 inches to the top of the finial. Overall. The silver plating benefits from being in good condition, the glass liner has a small dark inclusion; there are also two very small chips to the rim of the liner. EAPG Antique Victorian Era Playing Card Holder. The Victorian era emphasized ornamentation and they had a dish for everything! Many playing card holders were sold as souvenirs. They are found today in many different types of glass. Usually milk glass, clear, pink, and amber. The blue and silver is an unusual color combination. This one is blue glass with silver gilt decoration on all the raised edges. Very ornate design, lots of curliques and swirls. A different playing card suit emblem is on each of the 4 sides. The lines in the glass are near the bottom edges on 3 sides. And could have occured in manufacturing. There are many tiny bubbles in the glass also. The silver gilt is worn in several spots. Unusual Victorian Cranberry Glass Silver Plate Epergne C1880 Eagle Base J Dixon
For sale is this unusual Victorian glass epergne with silver plated base that dates to around 1880. The makers mark to the base is for James Dixon& Sons. A company based in Sheffield started in 1829 that continued to make quality works into the 1920's after which the company was taken over by William Hutton& Sons. This has an unusual base that depicts an eagle standing on a rock. Really well proportioned with a stunning cranberry flute. The glass is a beautiful rich pink. There are a couple of sharp points to the flutes. Not damage but the way the glass cooled when made. It also has the air bubbles you'd expect to see in hand made old glass. No damage. Excellent condition. The base shows minor signs of wear and age but again no damage. Overall stands an impressive 53.5cm 21 inches tall. Victorian Atkins Bros 5 Piece Silver Plate&Cut Crystal Berry Serving Set c.1880
This is a wonderful cut crystal and silver plate berry serving set by the prestigious firm of Atkins Brothers of Sheffield. The accompanying berry spoon is by Martin Hall and Company also of Sheffield. It is impossible to say who made the amazing cut crystal berry bowl. Cream jug and sugar sifter but they were probably made by a major company like Stuart or possibly even Waterford. The crystal pieces are decorated with diamond and fan cutting and have only a few very minor flea bite chips. The silver plated frame and fittings are in gorgeous condition with no wear to base mental and only very minor scratches where the glass vessels stand.
