Gorgeous true-antique. Opalescent, milk glass dresser box for jewelry came from a great-aunt's estate. It is an ornate Victorian oval decorated with flowers and roses on the box and the lid. When the lid is held to the light, the edges glow red and orange. You can see the opalescence in photo 2) The bottom shows a lovely'swirl' of caramel color in the milk glass. The box measures six inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches high. The lid is slightly domed) The edges of the bottom rim are rough and glassy, but this is due to the way it was made, not because it is chipped. There is a rough'point' on the lid on the edge of one flower but it is only noticeable when you run your finger around the point. Beautiful shape considering it is over a hundred years old! ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PRESS MOULDED MILK GLASS SUCRIER SUGAR BOWL
This press moulded milk glass sucrier(sugar bowl) was probably made around 1900. It was moulded in three sections and then“heat bonded” together. This method has left residual marks(which I have tried to show in the photos below which form part of this description) Additionally there are some short dark lines going down approximately a quarter of an inch from the top rim– they are not damage cracks, they are a result of the moulding process. The approximate height is 4 inches(approx 10 cms) and the diameter of the bowl is approx 4.5 inches(approx 11.5 cms) Please see the photographs below which form part of this description. This Antique. Victorian era, novelty opaline glass soap box dated to mid 1800' It is a hand blown into mold piece with polished pontil at the bottom; embellished with scrolls and leaf design in relief. Very decorative. I believe it is a soap box as it has raised ridges inside bottom. The box measures 5" x 4" stands 3 1/2" high to the top of the most charming finial. It is in very good to excellent condition, without chips or cracks. There is a rough spot on inside edge of the bowl, but no chips. Roughness is a characteristic of that period glass production. This press moulded milk glass“top hat” vase was made in the late Victorian period. There are no cracks. But there is a tiny chip in the excess glass on the rim(see photos below which form part of this description) where the moulding residue was not smoothed off during manufacture. The diameter(rim to rim) is approx 4.5 inches. Will be well packed for postage. Please see the photographs below which form part of this description. Victorian Opaque White Milk Glass Top Hat Match Holder& Striker C.1900 This is a very attractive piece of Victorian Milk Glass- a match holder and striker shaped as a top hat- a superb shape. And quite finely moulded. The surface is acid etched matt. There was obviously some enamelled motto or decoration on the brim once, but this has mostly worn off and only slight traces remain. I'd date it to between about 1880 and 1910 Size: about 2 1/8 inches( 5.3 cm) high Weight: 137 grammes Condition- good- one tiny chip on base- and the enamelling has worn off the brim- see the photographs for exact condition. Looks good- displays well. Payment must be made within 7 days of winning bid unless other arrangements have been made. If there is a problem with payment. Please contact me. Pair of Beautiful Victorian Bohemian White Milk Glass Lustres with Droplets
Welcome to my listing of a pair of superb Victorian Milk Glass Lustre Candlesticks. They have closed blown bottoms with unpolished pontils suggesting they are quite early. Each has a row of 8 droplets suspended from the bowl. These Lustres are made of really beautiful hand blown white milk glass. There are 8 arrow-headed and faceted cut glass droplets or prisms on each Lustre suspended by a two butto ns. Please note that although I believe these lustres to be a pair. There are some minor differences because they are hand blown. One has a slightly wider bowl with deeper scallops and there is a slight difference in height which is not noticeable. The Lustres stand 12 1/4" 31 cm high and one is 5" or 15.2 cm at its widest; the other is 5 1/2 or 16 cm wide. There may be one or two minor nicks to the droplets. Most of the gilding has ... moreworn away. Please also note one has a scratch on the column- please see photo 7. Th ese Lustres looks gorgeous lit by candles or tea lights which illuminates the bowls and column. They may be displayed in front of a mirror or window or as a centre-piece on a dining table. Beautiful hand painted milk glass covered butter dish from the Victorian/Edwardian period. The base is 7 1/4" across and with the dome measures 5" high. This is a very old antique. Rare, six sided milk glass embossed with scallop and scrolls and floral designs on the top area and bottom area. It has a lid! 6 sided lid, it is darling! It has an old fashioned, elegant look to it. I have not washed this item, left as is. No found maker's marks, have had no luck finding the maker or the pattern, which leaves me to state that this is"rare" I have not seen this particular design before. It reminds me of lace(and of an antique European type of design, and it also seems very"Victorian" to me, which makes me wonder if it is older than I have stated(possibly late 1800's? Pair of Beautiful Victorian Bohemian White Milk Glass Lustres 16 Droplets
Please note the Seller is away until the 18th July. Your purchase will be posted form the 19th July. Welcome to my listing of a pair of superb Victorian Milk Glass Lustre Candlesticks. They have closed blown bottoms with unpolished pontils suggesting they are quite early. Each has a row of 8 droplets suspended from the bowl. These Lustres are made of really beautiful hand blown white milk glass. There are 8 arrow-headed and faceted cut glass droplets or prisms on each Lustre suspended by a two butto ns. Please note that although I believe these lustres to be a pair. There are some minor differences because they are hand blown. One has a slightly wider bowl with deeper scallops and there is a slight difference in height which is not noticeable. The Lustres stand 12 1/4" 31 cm high and one is 5" or 15.2 cm at its widest; the other ... moreis 5 1/2 or 16 cm wide. There may be one or two minor nicks to the droplets. Most of the gilding has worn away. Please also note one has a scratch on the column- please see photo 7. Th ese Lustres looks gorgeous lit by candles or tea lights which illuminates the bowls and column. They may be displayed in front of a mirror or window or as a centre-piece on a dining table. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN MILK GLASS & PINK OVERLAY CUT GLASS CHEROOT CIGARETTE HOLDER.
For your consideration and for auction I offer a LATE 19TH CENTURY GLASS CHEROOT HOLDER. This cheroot holder is of a size that would suggest that it would have held cigars or cheroots rather than cigarettes. This glass holder has been free blown rather than moulded and hand decorated by cutting into the overlaid glass. Overlaid glass wasn't very easy to produce. Layers of glass would be gathered one on top of each other until the desired effect had been reached. In this case a white glass was used as the base metal and then a pink coloured layer was applied. After the piece had cooled. The glass was cut to show the different colour layers of glass in the required patterns. This technique was used for cologne and scent bottles from the same period. Similar holders were produced in the Stourbridge area but I won't hesitate to say that ... morethis piece is of Bohemian origin. T he holder. Which would date to around 1880-1900, is 3.25 inches in length from mouthpiece to the open end and free from any damage. This example has been used. Stains are to be found on the inside of the holder and it is suggested that these types of holders gave a very pleasing and much cooler smoke than without the holder. Here's a gorgeous Victorian Period Milk Glass Dresser/Barber Bottle w/ Stopper! The color of the milk glass is mesmerizing. As it looks like swirls of opal and white mix together when looking at the glass very close up. The elegant embossed style design features the acanthus leaf with other raised details throughout the piece. Including the stopper. There's no exact science in id'ing this particular piece. But it has been noted by glass collector's that this piece has been attributed to Mt. Washington in Kenneth Wilson's book. Some feel Butler Bros. would be a good guesstimate as well. This is a lovely pressed glass milk glass cream jug and sugar basin on a foot.Dating from the Victorian period. Both pieces have a pretty garland of roses and daisies around the middle and the jug has a naturalistic wood grain handle.The set is in good condition for its age with just a small chip on the rim of the jug and a nick on the underside of the base.Neither of which are obvious.The jug measures 12 cms high x 12 cms wide and the bowl is 12 cms high x 12.5 cms diameter. A very pretty pair that would grace any collection.

I am selling an old. Antique hand blown circular trinket or vanity dish or box. It is unmarked. The hand painted gold paint is flaked but the design is very ornate.
