1854 Antique Victorian Bohemian Cased Vaseline Hand Painted Glass Compote Bowl

Glass bowl is cased glass with opaque white on the exterior and satin vaseline on the interior which does glow a neon green. Lovely enamel geometeric motif is hand painted with silver and gold accents through out the interior of the bowl. The bowl has a pressed puffy scalloped rib/ panel and the rim is nice crimped with multiple ruffles. Along the edge of the crimped rim has a ribbon of satin crystal. The repousse base is stamped with a number 12. I do believe and it is stamped by hand with a name, possible provence, and date of 1854. The style of the hand written name. Etc. is done in dots( to form letters and numbers. Ludewig Barmese and 1854 is the only interpretation I could make out. The base is filled for weight ... moreand covered with old felt. Bohemian origin. Not signed. Believed to be attributed to Harrach. Condition of the glass: No visible chips. One teeny flake chip was found by touch along the underneath of the rim or deep folds. No hairline breaks or fading in the hand painted decor. Metal base is in excellent condition considering age. Has one dent at the bottom of the base and there is a hairline on the stem. Measurments are approximately: Overall height from base to tip of coronet is approximately 18½" The height of each hanging basket is approximately 7½" Rim diameter 3 ⅝" The bowl forming the base is approximately 10" diameter by 1 ⅞" deep. The flute has a milky colour rim. It measures 11.5 cm long. A pair of very good quality early to mid Victorian Green Wine Glasses see my other listing( 231010624306) They each have 7 oval headed facet cut panels on the bowl that start from the 7 facet cut inverted baluster knop stem which in turn leading down to conical feet that have ground& polished pontil depressions to the otherwise flat underside. These glasses are UV reactive and react beautifully when lit up under UV. The condition of both is excellent. There are no cracks or chips. There are the odd integral bubbles in keeping with the glass blowing techniques of the period& with virtually no signs of wear. The exact date can be worked out from the registration kite mark to the base. it is beautifully moulded and is a real impressive looking piece of glass. sadly it is damaged. the cross from the top of the crown is missing also there is some chips to the rim of the lid. the base is in excellent condition. In one place there looks like there is a crack but this is a manufacturing mark from the orignal moulding. this box measures approx 9.5cms wide and 10.5 cms tall. a really unusual piece of Queen Victoria commemorative ware.

Around the upper and lower part. There is a band of small shells. On top of the lid there is a larger shell knob. The base stands on 3 dolphyn shaped feet. The box probably dates from the late Victorian, early Edwardian period. It measures about 16cm in height and 14cm in diameter. Antique Victorian bronze finish nude lady centerpiece Vaseline art glass cups
This is an incredible centerpiece with a figural semi-nude lady holding up the top. The centerpiece is 19 ½ inches high with the bowl on the top and 15 inches high without it. It is 12 inches wide. The metal centerpiece is 19 th century and the bowls on the piece are from the 1940’s. The bowls were made by Fenton and are in the Vaseline or topaz opalescent hobnail pattern. The largest bowl is 4 ½ inches high and 10 inches across. The smaller bowls are 1 ¾ inches high and 5 ¾ inches across. The metal piece has a wonder bronze finish but on the bottom it looks like white metal so the bronze finish must have been applied. It has a great patina now. The metal piece has faces near the top on each side. The two smaller bowls are attached. The larger bowl is not attached. It can easily be glued on to the top. THE WOMAN'S UPPER BODY IS BRONZE. THE SMALLER OF THE CUPS IS BROKEN AND GLUED BACK TOGETHER. THIS REPAIR WAS DONE BY THE PRIOR OWNER MANY YEARS AGO. THE LARGER OF THE CUPS IS PERFECT. Rare Gorgeous Vaseline Glass Dresser Set
Gorgeous 4 compartment makeup box/ compact box in green vaseline glass. Measures 8 3/4 inches in length and 4 3/4 inches in width. The height with the lid on is 1 1/4 inches with an added 11/2 inches in the finial. It is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. The makeup cases with it while vinrage is not contemporary to the pieces creation. The lipstick case is unmarked and has one crystal missing from top. The rouge says Missproof or Kiss proof USA and the back of the compact states mMade in England.

This gorgeous epergne is free of cracks. Chips or hairlines,It features 2 swans a worm or something,I don't know what kind of metal it's made of, looking from the inside it appears to be white metal, although the feet have a bit of golden tone to it and it's absolutely mint,with the original finish,The main metal part measures 9 1/2" from the bottom to below the glass,and is 10 1/2" long. X. 5" deep,The bowl is about 8 1/2" dia,X. 2 3/4 tall,The separator between the glass is 3"The tulip part(epergne) Measures 8 1/2" long and 5 1/4" dia at the widest part,And overall 19" tall,The ruffle glass is outstanding,All free of cracks, breaks, chips or hairlines,This piece is mint,Thank you for looking.
