(6) British Napoleonic War Era Artifacts, Musket Balls & Gun Flints 1798-1815
6) BRITISH ARTIFACTS-BROWN BESS MUSKET BALLS& FLINTS. Here are some interesting items. There are(3) 75 caliber original Brown Bess musket balls and(3) Brown Bess Gun Flints that were made in the late 1700s and early 1800s as England was preparing for invasion by Napoleon. They were later stored in the Royal Armory of Nepal under British control where they lay forgotten for almost 200 years. For more on these fascinating artifacts. I would recommend the book" TREASURE is where you find it. by Christian Cranmer. In association with International Antiques, Inc. Published by Tharston Press, England 2004. There were an estimated 4 tons of the musket balls made and stored in Nepal, which may sound like a lot, but at a weight of over 1 oz each, that's only about 115,000 pieces. And when you think of the thousands of collectors around ... morethe world who will want some of these, there aren't really that many to go around. These are"type" photos, not the actual musket balls or gun flints you will receive, but they will all be equal or better quality than what you see here. These are wonderful for collections and displays. These are great prehistoric collectible artifacts. And remember, there is free shipping anywhere in the U.S. I believe in combined shipping to save you money. And offer 1-day shipping as a matter of course, although I often ship the same day payment is received. I figure once you've paid for it, you own it, and might as well have it as soon as possible. As with all of my artifacts, they are guaranteed authentic for life. MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE: If you are not satisfied with this item for any reason. Return it undamaged within 30 days for a full refund. Member in good standing with the AACA. FREE SHIPPING of this item in the U.S. Shipping to Canada is $7.70. All other international will be $11.48. Please contact me for combined shipping rates if you win any of my auctions or if you are buying internationally. A small group of musket balls found on a field near Ware Herts England where the Farmers wife believed there was a skirmish although this is not listed. 22 Antique Excavated Musket or Pistol Lead Balls from Illinois - Civil War ?
22 Antique Excavated Musket or Pistol Lead Balls from Illinois- Civil War? This was an estate sale purchase. The estate was selling a military collection that had been accumulated over a lifetime. Most of the items were from WWI or WWII but there were some earlier dated items such as these lead balls. These lead balls had been shot as evidenced by the damage that occrued on many of them upon impact. These were found in a bag along with a note which states: From the Powell family– in Collins? Ill when Mable Powell Schnu? was in grade school” Where I can’t read the writing I have inserted question marks. I have shown a close-up photo below of the note that was in the bag. I have no other evidence or knowledge of where these were found and whether or not they are from the Civil War era. Which is why I added the question marks in the heading ... moreof this listing. One of the photos below shows the lead balls next to a penny to give you a sense of dimension. Please view the antique bullet with skirt from this military collection that I have also listed on eBay. California sales tax will be added to sales delivered in California. Or California buyer must provide a valid signed California Resale Card, not just a resale number. inkfrog terapeak.

Revolutionary War Musket Balls (Buck and a Ball)-Bennington, Vermont
From the American Camp at the site of the Battle of Bennington. Vermont comes these four(4) lead musket balls. The Americans were fond of firing what has become known as" a buck and a ball" In addition to their standard musket round, they would load up with smaller buck shot size ammo. This increased the possibility they would strike their target. The Battle of Bennington was a complete victory for the American troops. The British lost over 600 men. ANTIQUE JAPANESE MUSKET BALLS OR GRAPE SHOT-16th-17th century.
16th-17th century. Cast iron. About 7/8' diameter, spherical with mold mark exaggerated to provide an annular ridge which would engage and penetrate armor. Cannon provided by the Portuguese, were used in Japan before 1600. These projectiles(have 3) were probably made for their use as they would quickly destroy a musket bore. Each.
