Antique Rare Pennsylvania DUTCH German FLIP GLASS c.1820 Mold Blown & Engraved
Antique Pennsylvania Dutch Engraved Flip Glass c.1820 Mold Blown- Panelled DESCRIPTION Guaranteed to be an authentic antique. Of the period, made c.1820. Made expressely for German Americans. While most folks like to think these early flip glasses were made by the Stiegel Glass Works here in Manheim. Lancaster County, Pennsylvania they were actually made in Germany and Switzerland between 1790 and 1840. The Pennsylvania Dutch around these parts were quite fond of them, a small size tumbler with a nice flaring lip and light in weight. Every now and then a good early one can still be found. This one is delightful, and has the requisite ring of rough grayish glass around the rough pontil scar. Beautifully mold blown for the panels, and charmingly engraved, a beauty of a Pennsylvania Dutch antique Flip Glass, c.1820. Antique Engraved, etched glass Stand or centerpiece a must see (1870's)
Hi. Up for auction is an antique crystal/glass stand, 2pc pedestal and dish plate? I though could be a cake stand or centerpiece, you will also get the notes from comments by Dr. Eller, This is a stunning beautiful piece! This is from the notes by Dr. Eller: Stand is prob European work. French or English rather than German. The design is a combination os copper wheel engraving and etching, very fine work, Made probably in 1870-1880, all by hand and would cost a couple hundred dollars to produce today(this leter is old)for the copper wheel engraving, the glass was first fully blown, then cut free hand with the wheel, only a few marks on the glass to guide the workman, who had a drawing beside him, the base is probably wtched"a marvelous piece of glass" etc. now the scenes I beleive possibly depict actual known stories or histories. ... moreI think the image shows Phillip II of Macedonia giving Bucephalus, a very unmanageable horse, to his son Alexander, who had promised to tame him. the story was recorded by Plutarch. 1 side scene. Phillip II of Macedonia gives the unmanageable Bucephalus to Alexander? 2 side scene Alexander tames the rowdy Bucephalus. there is some damage as seen in photos. At the bottom of the"dish" and a chip on the pedestal where it rests. when the 2 are together if you face the chipped part to the back it's not noticable. truely a lovely lovely piece. It's total height is 10 3/4" tall the bottom base opening is 6" the top plate is 11" and the thickness is 3/16 the letter head on the letter is from a church in new york. Unsure if this may have belonged to a priest? Any question feel free to ask.

Antique Flip Glass- Stiegel Type, Hand Blown, Engraved, Green Tint, Circa 1800s
A ntique Stiegel Type Green Tint Copper Wheel Engraved American Hand-Blown Flip Glass with Decorative Tulip and Ferns in Urn/ Basket Motif. Circa 1800s Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This beautiful antique Stiegel Type Flip Glass was found by me hidden in the rafters of a late 1800s house in New England. And was only wiped with a damp cloth to clean. Condition overall is excellent. Which I have tried to capture in the images. The pontil is rough cut, and the glass is a beautiful watery green tint and is moderately to very seedy with bubbles, one of which penetrated the surface during creation(see picture) It appears as a dimple in the surface as shown, and feels nearly smooth to the touch. I am not a glass expert, but I understand that this was not uncommon with this type of glass. Other than that, there are no breaks, cracks, or chips, ... morewhatsoever. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Measurements are 5.25" tall x 3.75" diameter. Tapering to a 2.50" diameter base. Rest assured that I will take extra care in carefully packaging this for shipment to you. Thanks for looking and for bidding-

Cranberry Glass German Mineral Water Cup with Engraved Kurhaus Scene c.1880
This lovely cranberry glass mineral water cup has an architectural engraving on its front that depicts an old Austro-Hugarian or German Kurhaus(spa) with the name. Something like Kurhau Koppal. The scene is further enhanced with gilding. The handle of the cup is clear. The cup was free blown and the handle attached by the glass blower. I think the cup dates to about 1880. There is a bit of wear on some of the gilding but the cup is otherwise in wonderful undamaged condition(there is one very tiny chip under the gilding on the rim of the cup suggesting it happened in the manufacture of the piece) There is some natural waviness in the free blown glass. The cup is 3 5/8" tall and about 2 1/4" in diameter. Washington state buyers please add 9.5% State Sales Tax. International buyers please inquire about shipping rates.

Pair Antique Engraved Amber Ruby Stained Moser Cut Glass Tumblers Beakers
TWO PIECES FOR ONE PRICE ANTIQUE ENGRAVED AMBER AND RUBY STAINED BOHEMIAN CUT GLASS BEAKERS- TUMBLERS I SHIP WORLDWIDE ATTENTION UK AND NON-US BIDDERS: Please note that if you are following my sales on a regular basis you should log onto the Ebay U.S.A. site rather than the Ebay.UK site in order to see the complete selection of auction items I have listed at any given time. For some reason the Ebay U.K. site filters from view the posting of sales by U.S. sellers containing the names of some of the better and more highly collectable English and German porcelain companies. I have no idea why this is. However, I do ship worldwide so you are welcome to bid on any of the items. IMPORTANT BIDDING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION: IF YOU PLAN TO BID ON THIS ITEM AND ARE THE HIGH BIDDER I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THAT YOU DO NOT PAY ME UNTIL YOU RECEIVE MY INVOICE ... moreNOT THE INVOICE THAT IS GENERATED IMMEDIATELY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SALE BY EBAY. Ebay now has rules that all sellers MUST ship items for which they have been paid within one business day without exception. Those who follow my sales and have bought from me over the years know that I have always had a policy of shipping within 24 hours of a sale(see my feedback) However, there are times when I am out of town unexpectedly for a house call, an auction or an estate call and it simply is not possible to get to the post office in time. Also, if you find that there is more than one item you are interested in bidding on over a given time period and would like to take advantage of combined shipping, please again, DO NOT pay me until the last of those items you're watching has finished. I will then send you an invoice with an adjusted shipping fee which saves on postage. I never charge a"handling fee" I would rather wait a few days on a payment and extend you the advantage of lower shipping fees than to be paid immediately- not ship- and then be scored negatively by eBay for not shipping soon enough. Offered in this sale is a very nice pair of ruby and amber stained Boh
