This lovely tribute to mom dates from the 30's or 40's. It features a well-loved poem from that era. A Wonderful Mother" by"Pat. O'Reilly" Colors of the print are soft yellows and pale greens. With corners, borders, and other highlights in metallic gold which catches the light. The original textured wood frame has the same gold highlighting, along with a strip of dark red. Vintage Dutch Windmill Print from the early 1900's(not sure of exact date) by Jacob Izaakszoon van Ruisdael called the"Tower Mill at Wijk bij Duurstede. Netherlands 1670. Wood frame is in good condition. The glass has a few scratches(note below windmill in front of girls and in the left upper section of sky and to left of the windmill blades which looks like damage to the print but it's actually a scratch in the glass) The scratches are hardly visible when the picture is hanging on the wall but the flash from the camera has highlighted them. The Sun was shining through the window behind me so there are funny lighted areas on the picture. The back used to have a paper backing but has disappeared over time. Hiding behind the tree are ... moretwo tiny gnomes or elves with flowing white beards. The center of the picture toward the top contain the poem“Trees” by Joyce Kilmer. The printing is in block lettering with some style and has various small pictures contained within: acorns with leaves. Flowers with scrolls and leaves and some coloring of the upper case letters. There are three gold birds surrounding the poem. The print is mounted slightly uneven. But it is so gorgeous it doesn’t really detract from it. The print is covered with glass and the wood frame has a nice small brass hanger in the shape of what looks a key top or heart. The picture measures approximately 5 ¾” wide x 10 ¾” high x 5/8” wide. Measuring within the plate-marks, this original 8 ¾” by 10 ¾” Etching dates from the early 20 th century and is pencil signed by the artist. As well as with his triangular blind-stamp. When we removed this etching from the 16 ½” by 18 ¾” painted frame we found that it is pencil titled“Shrimp Fishers” and has been properly mounted, along the top edge, at the back of the double matt. At the bottom are two small piece of tape at the corners. There is a very light, overall and even toning to this authentic William Sherwood Shrimp Fishers Etching, but there are no other problems, or any restorations. Beautiful and Amazing. Antique French Baptism, Holy Communion& Confirmation Print. The Baptism date is 4th March 1913, the Holy Communion Date is 9th January 1924, and the Confirmed Date is 8th July, 1928? The Confirmed Date is very hard to read due to the ink has faded, and I have to read the paper impression marks. This print is under its original glass, with its original frame, and the frame is gorgeous. It is hand carved, the wood looks like a Walnut, and the glass looks original as well. This gorgeous print is 19x15, with the frame included in the measurements, so the actual print is around 18x14. The back of the frame has its original wire for hanging. The actual print is in very good condition.The print should be re-backed, because the backing to the actual print has a small tear at the top in the upper right hand corner, but the ... moretear is not in the actual print. The colors are excellent. The bottom of the print has the inscription"EGO-SUM-PANIS-VIVUS. which means"I am the Bread of Life. On each corner of the print is the name of a Saint, St. Marc, St Luc, St. Mathieu, and St. Jean. The left side is inscribed"Maison Ch. Letaille. No 466, and on the right side is"Bourmard Fils. Edit.
