Description This antique circa 1870's Victorian Opaline glass vase of pale opaque buff colour. Has a rich red amber colour when held to a light. It is hand blown of rounded body shape with waisted flaring neck and ball above the stepped shoulder with opaque enamelled flowers and foliage. This nice little vase, ideal for wild and delicate garden flowers, has a ground and polished rim and no pontil mark. It is in good condition apart from the gilded rim is very worn with only traces left and there are a couple of little nicks which were done when the rim was cast and polished. Height 16.6cm. Antique blue opaline or milk glass dresser box casket in pretty much perfect condition measuring 4" high by 4 5/8" long by 3" wide. There is a small fold in the glass on the edge as shown that occurred during making and a tiny flea bite flake on the underneath as shown. The front piece is just an escutcheon shield shaped cover-at the time of manufacture I guess they could chose to either add a lock or cover the pre-cut out with a fake shield type escutcheon. This Antique. Victorian era, novelty opaline glass soap box dated to mid 1800' It is a hand blown into mold piece with polished pontil at the bottom; embellished with scrolls and leaf design in relief. Very decorative. I believe it is a soap box as it has raised ridges inside bottom. The box measures 5" x 4" stands 3 1/2" high to the top of the most charming finial. It is in very good to excellent condition, without chips or cracks. There is a rough spot on inside edge of the bowl, but no chips. Roughness is a characteristic of that period glass production. Pair of Antique Hand-Painted Opaline Glass Vases
These are very unusual hand-painted and blown glass vases because the glass is so unusual. It appears to be some type of opaline glass because of its colour. Translucence and texture. However, the surface of the glass is very rough and pitted with many inclusions in the glass itself. This is something I have never seen before in these type of vases. I would date the vases to c1850 based on the hand-painted design and style of the decoration. The quality of the decoration is actually very good which is quite a contrast to the quality of the glass itself. Both vases measure 20 cm tall and 12 cm in diameter. there are no chips or damage to the vases. It is produced in opal glass which is translucent white until a strong light is shone through when it transforms into fiery opal tones. The items have Lily of the Valley hand painted with enamel. Each item has a cherub like face painted on and each is slightly different. The floral decoration was hand painted and done with enamel. This listing is for an Antique French Apple Green Opaline Glass Perfume Box Casket. It measures around 4.25" x 2.75" x 4.25. The color of the box is a very bright green and there are no visible signs of chips or cracks in the glass. I have added many pictures. The casket has 2 perfume bottles that are different sizes and the larger one has some damage to the hinge and someone rigged this so it would still open and close(see picture) The brass part has some very nice etching. There are some dents on the brass that is causing the lid not to close flush. This item has not been cleaned and looks pretty good for its age.

Not sure if I'm right on what this is. It looks like the color in the last picture of the lid in real life. not the first three which were taken with flash. It is very very old. When held to the light or sun it shows the imperfections in the glass like old picture frames or pane glass from the 1800's. There are no chips or cracks to glass. There is some wear to the gold enameling, mainly the thin stuff, not the thick design on the front or back. It is 6 1/4" high, 3 1/8" across top of jar. A stunning piece of old glass. Antique Jade Green Cut French Opaline Flint Art Glass Covered Jar Box Bowl & Lid
This listing is for a jade green cut glass covered dish. I'm not sure if its a dresser box or sugar bowl. It is made of very heavy. High lead-content flint glass, and both lid and base ring like a bell. It is cut into 19 slightly concave panels, and the finial is convex cut. The uncut portion at the top of the foot, and connections of the base and finial show opalescence where the glass is transparent. I'm not sure if this jar is European/Bohemian, or American/Sandwich, etc. It measures 5 1/2" tall to the top of the finial, and about 4 1/2" across at the widest. The base and pontil are ground and polished, and the base shows heavy wear. The inside rim of the bowl has some small nicks and flakes, and an alignment"x" cut into it. The lid has a matching"x" The lid has a hairline cooling crack visible next ... moreto the finial. It is adjacent to a bubble inside, and there is no point-of-impact. Antique Richardson Uranium Opaline Glass Vase Etruscan Style C.1840
This vase is my most favourite piece from my collection. I believe it may have been produced by Richardson and definitely dates from C.1840. It is decorated in the Etruscan style and glows magnificently under a UV light. There is a similar vase pictured in the book British Glass 1800-1914. Page 136 under the Richardson category and International Exhibitions. The vase stands 10 inches/ 25.5cm tall and the base diameter 3.75 inches/ 9.5cm. There is one minute nibble on the rim which is barely visible. There are two other minute nibbles. One on rim and one on foot rim, these are manufacturing faults as they are painted over. With its fiery opalescent finish, the semi-translucent opaline glass literally glows and illuminates just beautifully. Patterned with an all over diamond point cut pattern. Encircled with hinged gilt ormolu mounts decorated in an egg and dart motif. Overall in good condition, some small nips to the diamond points, mostly hidden by the intricate diamond pattern. An large. Antique Victorian Opaline glass vase. The vase is hand blown with rough pontil mark and beautifully decorated with colourful hand-painted flowers and foliage. I believe to be Bohemian. The very pale green/ cream glass is thicker than usually found on vases of this type. Height approx. 33cm(13" CONDITION ~ Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks and no wear to the painted decoration. The gilt at the rim is worn.
