1951 Rare Mens GRUEN 'CLIPPER' Square BUMPER AUTOMATIC Gold 10k gf Vintage Watch
PLEASE ALLOW TIME FOR LARGE PHOTOS TO LOAD 1951 Mens Gruen Precision Bumper Automatic Vintage Watch. The Clipper Model. Here we have a very handsome and rare mens watch from the world renowned. Swiss Watch Company, Gruen. The watch is original and signed by Gruen on the Case, Dial and Movement. The watch dates to 1951 and is in excellent condition. This is best noted for the rare squared style case which is scarcely seen in an automatic, let alone a rare 475 bumper automatic. It also has a fancy quad angled pointed crystal. It is fully working and keeping good time. This model was named the"Clipper" by Gruen as researched through Identification books. When you pick this piece up you can feel the quality and weight in it- a true classic. The Gruen signed case has a very nice squared design with thick sweeping bevelled edges around ... morethe entire bezel and rounded corners. On each corner it has the lugs which are a in a semi tear drop style. The sides and ends are also slightly arched. The whole case is a shiny. Deep and rich 10k gold fill showing very little use at all. I can see no rub to the gold, even on the lug backs. The back is fully signed inside by Gruen including case and model numbers. It measures approx 38mm x 28mm inc lugs. The Gruen signed dial is a silver tone with a black outer minute chapter and set of raised gold deco numbers and fancy triangle studs which are luminum filled at the hour positions. The 6 position has a deep set sub second dial with a black markings. It is signed Gruen Precision below the 12 and auto wind above the sub seconds. It is in excellent condition with just a couple of tiny specks. The lucite crystal is perfect and has a quad angle design rising to a point in the centre. This is why some details of the dial may appear distorted in the photos. The watch has its original. Splendid Vintage Jaeger LeCoultre GRUEN COSMOS ATMOS CLOCK - 1960s
Offered for sale is this lovely Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos Gruen Cosmos mantel clock from the 1960s. It is completely original. And features a 24-karat gold plated Roman numeral dial. The clock stands approximately 9-1.2 inches high x 8-1/4 inches wide at the base and 7 inches wide across the front of the clock. It is 5-1/2 inches deep, and 6-1/2 inches at the base. The face of the clock is 5-1/4 inches in diameter. The clock is fully functioning, and keeps good time. All of the glass panels are in excellent condition, with no scratches or chips. The leveling bubble and locking lever are intact and correct. There is a small lever at the top of the dial for adjustment. The front glass frame pulls out to allow access to the works of the clock. The wooden case is in excellent vintage condition, save for a small blemish near the right top(looking ... moreat the clock) of the front glass(see photo 2) and tiny wear marks near the edges, completely commensurate with age. Neither is as noticeable on the actual piece as in the photos. The gold plating is in excellent condition. The clock has been well cared for, although it might benefit from a professional cleaning. We will leave that decision to the lucky new owner. Overall, this is a handsome example of these marvelous clocks, and will make a fine addition to your collection or to your mantel. Rare Vintage Dualite Gruen Watch Advertising Clock Sign Bulova Pam Gas Oil Soda
For your consideration is this vintage lighted advertising clock. This clock is an advertisement for Gruen Watches. It was manufactured by Dualite and is quite a heavy duty clock circa 1930's-1940's. This clock reads"GRUEN Watch Time" in what appears to be a the image of a Gruen watch face. The image does exhibit a few areas of fading but overall it is quite vivid. The clear lens is glass and is in great condition. The ring is constructed of metal and is also in great condition with minor scratches. It works great and appears to keep time although I only let it run for about an hour. The cord looks great with 2 areas being taped and there appears to be no issue with the integrity of the cord. It measures approximately 16" x 16" and sticks approximately 3 1/2" off the wall. This clock features 2 light sockets ... moreand it had 2 of the old small low wattage light bulbs in it when I purchased it however. They were burnt out. I used one larger watt bulb for the photos however the clock will arrive without any bulbs and will need new bulbs. This is a very rare Dualite model and a very hard to come by timepiece. This nice old clock would make an excellent addition to any collection. You will also receive 1 Royal Crown Cola and 1 Squirt bottle cap. Five Working Watches: Timex Self Wind, TAG, Elgin, Brevet Studio, & Gruen Guild
This is a lot of used watches with assorted names all of which are running. There is a Self Winding Timex that is water-proof and shock resistant with a chrome plated steel back(written on the back) with some scratches on the glass and. Some wear and tear on the metal and band, it is missing one link cover on the band) There is also a women's Gruen that has a saphire cabachon winding mechanism that has 15 jewels and says Gruen Guild inside. It has bad scratching on the glass and a monogram on the back. There is also a water resistant Timex with a black face and large numbers with a stainless steel back with a band that says 1/30 10K RGP TOPS& 1/50 RGP ENDS. The band is the original metal rope type and says. Forstner, 1/20 12k Gold Filled, USA Patent 2097055. I must say I can see why all the Gruen watch fans have so much trouble trying to figure out dates and match movements on these watches. With such a massive amount of information all over this watch getting and exact date should be easy but is not. With all I have studied this watch is from the late 40's and that's as good as I could do. For +/ 60 years old this watch is still ... morein good restorable condition. This watch is not running. It sets fine forwards and backwards, the stem is still tight and goes in and out fine. The problem is it winds up forever and never gets tight. I do not know how to fix it. After the movement has been cleaned it might need a small adjustment. I see no rust inside this movement.
