Up for auction is this beautiful vintage Red Oak Hat and Coat Rack with( 8) solid brass hat and coat hooks. Each hook sticks out 3" The dimensions are as follows: 87 1/4" long 6" tall 3/4" thick Each hook is about 10 13/16" on center. All the screws are brass also. The wood grain on this is really nice! Along the entire edge it has a really nice routed edge which only adds to it's appeal. This was made in the late 1950's and has been stored away for many years and was never mounted. As for the condition it's very good and clean. Very straight and flat. Has a few minor scratches and this is not a big deal( mainly on each end) Wood grain looks fantastic! Hooks look ... moregreat too! The only thing you will have to do is drill a hole at each end so you can mount it to your wall. I would be have done this but I don't know how you are going to mount it. Hooks will be removed when shipped and it will only take a few minutes to put them back on. Ornate Antique Solid Brass Coat Hat Rack Hall Tree Stand
This looked too ornate and had too much potential to be scrapped as brass. This looks to be solid brass. They don't make them like this any more. Weighs roughly 12 lbs and is roughly 73.5 inches tall(6'1.5" Some of the screws have broken off and need to be extracted. One screw remains that can be used to match new screws. Please see pictures. A great project for someone. The scrap price for brass is roughly $2 a lbs so the opening bid is set to $24 which would be the scrap price for this brass coat stand. I hope this is bought and not sent for scrap.

This is a wonderful vintage brass coat tree stand. It stands 72.5" tall. The base is 19" wide. It has a Victorian flare with an industrial flavor. Although the brass exterior has seen better days and is pitted. Flaked, and scratched, it still has a grand presence and is functional and complete.
