First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. It is actually 3 frames together, the inner frame being the gold gilt. You have a nice 1 ½ inch black carved portion, setting off the two gold frames. From the Victorian period, they are made of black walnut with carved surfaces that resemble crisscrossed tree branches. Each of the frames overall measurements is 10 5/8" by 8 3/8" and each has an opening that is 6 5/8" by 4 3/8" They are well-built and still tight and sound. This auction is for a Beautiful Matching Pair Antique Victorian Brass Fancy Picture Frame with the easel stand and are actually marked PAT APR 24-94. They are both marked PAT APR 24-94 on the back of the frames very clearly with a matching number(possibly style number) near the patent markings. The marks are engraved on the backside of the frame. They are in good shape with some signs of age and also still have the glass with the frame. The edges of the glass are rough cut. The frames have a lovely. Leafy design. These are large frames and has the original patina in good condition and measures approximately 9" across and 12" tall. Each weighs almost 2 pounds. They would make a nice addition to a collection or would also make a lovely touch to any home on any Vanity or Dresser. Very fancy with deep flower and scroll work. The opening ... morewould display a picture size of approximately 4" by 6" These would look great with either a picture or a mirror which can be obtained locally. Nice patina to the metal and can be cleaned easily or left as is. It should polish up nicely to bring this frame back to its original glory but looks great with the patina- I did not try to clean it in any way. Large Pair of Ornate Antique Victorian Gold Gesso Frames Painting Picture Mirror
Up for sale is a Ornate pair of Antique Victorian Gesso on Giltwood frames. These frames were likely manufactured between 1870 and 1890. The gesso paint appears to be all original. These frames are in great and hangable condition. There is some very light age appropriate wear. And one spot(pictured) of gesso loss that is easily repairable and difficult to notice. These frame are meant to hold a 20x24" piece.The back opening is exactly 20 1/4 by 24 1/4 inches with a 1/8" lip all the way around the inside on which the picture or mirror can rest. Antique Victorian Pair Large Oval Black & Gold Wood and Gesso Picture Frames
This is a stunning pair of antique Victorian era oval picture frames that are identical and in very good condition. All of the floral gesso designs on the frame are complete and intact and the wood is excellent. The paint is all intact(a few scratches have been touched up but they blend in well) The black is still glossy and not faded and the areas of floral gesso have gold accents. There is no glass included for either. And the photos that are in the frames are rough. There are screws on the back with wire attached for wall hanging, but the wire will probably need to be tightened or replaced because it seems to be too long. The frame dimensions are 21" W x 25" H. They measure approximately 14 1/8" tall. 12 1/8" wide, and 2 1/8" deep each. The glass panes measure approximately 9 3/4" long and 7 1/2" wide. The style"Eastlake" comes from Charles Locke Eastlake(1837-1901) who designed simple, yet beautiful frames in contrast with overly, ornate frames of the day. This frame is designed with different stepped layers that are alternately painted a lovely chocolate brown and gold. First. Let me say I have no idea what I have, I am sure I have undervalued the items, that is why I have set this as an auction and I hope the market will set the price. The info I can provide, is not accurate I am sure, but I will do my honest best: Pair of Vintage Antique Curved Bubble Glass Wooden Ornate Frame 10x12 Lady& Musketeer and Victorian Couple. Actually Measures 11 5/8" x 9 1/2" Unsure of its origin but definitely came from Europe. Maybe France ~ Limoges? Frame has a golden colored paint on it, looks to be made of wood. I am not sure of the exact age, the satin background is black, maybe velvet, with the images in the center for both and with Ornate Metal Frame that looks Gold in color, they could be solid gold, I have no idea, and both with a bubble convex ... moreglass. The back looks like it has the professional framed looking brown paper and wire hanger, see photos. Both frames come a with domed glass and are described to the best of my knowledge. What you see on the photos is what you get. These are general antique merchandise and may have normal/ typical wear consistent with age. Any significant damage can be seen in the pictures. You are bidding on a really rare find. 2(Pair) Antique Victorian Bradley& Hubbard Northwind Bacchus Mirrors. These mirrors came from local estate. They are very similar but are NOT identical. There are 3 Differences That I can see. The first is that one mirror is beveled glass and the other is flat. I believe the beveled glass is original. The second difference is the beveled glass mirror has a more worn gold finish. The paint is wearing in many areas and the color is not as uniform. Thirdly is a small knob on the bottom center that is present on the flat glass mirror but not on the beveled glass. Otherwise these are identical as far as I can tell. Very rare to have a pair of these. I Have provided pictures showing both pieces as well as the differences. The mirrors measure approx 15" tall by 10" wide at largest distances. Antique Metal Bubble Glass Oval Picture Frames Victorian Immigrants Vintage Pair
Beautiful pair of matching metal frames with convex"bubble" glass. The glass measures 13.5" X 10.5" The frames can be hung vertically or horizontally. They come with the original tinted wedding photos of an immigrant couple from the turn of the century. On one of the frames there is a back tab broken off but the tab is there. These were hard to photo because of the glare on the glass but the glass is actually very clean and in excellent condition. As are the metal frames. Winner pays shipping which includes insurance.

The back of the one with the man is loose but fits snuggly when inserted and is the original back but won't stay unless glue is applied and I didn't want to do that just in case someone wanted to replace the prints with something else. Some chips on edges of both frames. But still are in Beautiful Antique condition. Neither of the frames has glass it however, it at one time had mirrors in both that I recently broke one of the mirrors. So selling both frames without glass or mirror. Would be lovely to use as is as prints are so adorable and exemplary of the Victorian era. Clothes hair and all. Both frames are gold tone with lovely leaf scroll work. The frame with the little boy has one piece of the gold tone scroll that has popped loose. It needs to be soldered back on but there is no broken pieces on the scroll. The right side looking at the picture seems to be a bit loose as well, again no broken pieces. They are in very good condition with some small minor scuffs on the edge of the frames but no chips. Cracks or scratches to the glass.
