Antiqued cove molded pine wood carved picture painting frame 20 x 24 rabbet EUC
Nice antiqued pine wood picture frame will accomodate a painting or print that measures 20 x 24" The rabbet is approximately 1/4" deep and wide. The actual frame is 28 3/4 x 24 3/4" a full 4 3/4" wide. It has three separate carved edges with cove molding in between. The frame is all one piece and is nailed at the top of each mitred joint. The carved surfaces may be applied strips of molding. It is hard to see beyond the gold(not gold leaf) or bronze finish. On the back there is an inscription: Happy Birthday. Love Martha and is dated 1993. The frame quality suggests an earlier date. At any rate it is a lovely piece, mellow and subtle with the wood color dominating and the gold just creating a quiet gleam. Great frame for your watercolor, print or perhaps even oil on board or paper. Since it is made of pine or another similar ... morelight weight wood, shipping will not be astronomical! CONDITION: There are a few places where the finish has been rubbed particularly at the top sides of the corners(not visible from the front. Antique 19th Century Walnut Fluted Cove Deepwell Hudson River School Frame
This is an antique 19th-century walnut fluted cove deepwell Hudson River School frame. I would date it 1860s to 1870s. Overall. The frame measures 20 1/8 inches by 16 15/16 inches(51.1 cm x 43 cm) The back opening size is 14 7/8 inches by 11 5/8 inches(37.8 cm x 29.5 cm) The molding width measures 2 7/8 inches(7.3 cm) The frame itself is fairly thick at 2 1/8 inches(5.4 cm) It has its original finish. Some of it has worn off or has been lightly scratched off. There are two areas right next to each other where the finish is a little discolored along the fluted cove section(please see photos) There are a number of tiny chips or dings to the finish. But nothing very deep. However, they are noticeable. Also. Each corner has openings where the wood meets. I don't know if this is original or shrinkage. It has old square nails. Antique Mid 19th C Reeded Deep Cove Lemon Gold Gilt Stenciled Frame 10 X 14
This is an antique mid 19th century lemon gold gilded reeded deep cove stenciled frame. It dates approximately 1860s to 1870s. Overall. It measures 19 inches x 15 inches(48.3 cm x 38.1 cm) The back opening size is 14 1/8 inches by 10 1/8 inches(35.9 cm x 25.7 cm) The molding measures 2 3/4 inches wide(7 cm) It's a very thick frame at 2 1/2 inches(6.34 cm) The frame has the great age-related marks that develop over the years on these frames. It's made with old square cut nails. There is no glass. The finish has been lightly touched up along one of the short sides where there are a few tiny nicks and very lightly along one of the long sides(please see photos) It has a light chip in three of the corners. But the fourth corner has a large chip measuring 1 inch x 3/8 inch(2.54 cm x.95 cm) It has a few other tiny nicks, but none major. ... moreThe color and patina are lovely. Nice 19th Century American Cove Frame, c. 1860
A nice Amercian 19th century cove frame with acanthus leaf corners. C. 1860. Opening measures 24.50 x 34.50, but has been opened up so it could take a picture a bit larger. Very wide molding at 5 inches thick. Original bronze finish is mostly intact, there are a number of chips and losses on the back edging, plus along one of the short edges where it sat against a moist floor. Has great detaiing along the top edge molding- looks like acanthus leaves interspersed by rope perhaps. Needs to be restored to be properly appreciated. We won't pack this ourselves, but will drop this off to a local UPS store for you to pay for proper packing and shipping. It can laso be picked up if you are near the New York City region of lower NY State. Good luck!

This is an excellent. Unusually wide, c1860 deep cove mahogany veneered Victorian frame. Frame has the original lemon gilded liner inside the deep cove with wide 5" mahogany veneered molding. Square nailed, mitered corners. Unusually wide and deep. Frame is in excellent condition with some corner shrinkage and some minor veneer losses on the outer edge.
