The original covering has been left on the underside to give a sense of the original look. The trunk is in overall good shape but because it is over 100 yrs old there are dings. Up for auction is a very unique Antique Chinese or Japanese Wood Decorated Fan Frame with three prints of Geisha's. This piece is out of an estate of unique Asian Pieces. Such as some I have already sold. This large hanging wall Fan Frame has three windows with antique colored prints under glass. The body itself is wood with high relief painting designs such as the trees with laquer wood. There are a few issues through out this piece, chipping, a crack by on of the photos to the tree as seen clearly in the photo, also at the base of the fan, some early restoration seems present but not much. The back of the three frames are held by nails that may need reinforcing. Overall, a unique piece as you can see for these photos. Measures 32' long and 19' high. Fresh from the wall of an upstate New York Victorian home is this beautiful Victorian carved wood round mirror with gold gilt and patina. This is quite a lovely piece. I acquired this at sale of the estate. It was said to be late 19th century. Certainly no later than 1910. We are unsure of the age of the glass. The viewing surface has all the oxidation wear of a vintage old glass mirror. The back of the mirror is pristine. We are unsure if this is because this mirror hung undisturbed for a generation in the same spot or if the glass was replaced. The star of this sale is of course the carved wooden frame. ANTIQUE N.B.&I.W. Cast Iron & Brass PICTURE FRAME Circa 1890's W/ WEDDING PHOTO!
ANTIQUE N.B.I.W. Cast Iron& Brass PICTURE FRAME Circa 1890's Includes Authentic Original Wedding Photo Found with the Frame! Extremely nice N.B.I.W. marked cast iron frame with gold gilt and black"pebbled" interior. Brass oval ring around the photo. Brass table support and hardware. N.B. I.W. stands for National Bronze and Iron Works and was established in 1891, specializing in manufacturing fine decorative brass and iron objects until it went out of business in 1911. This frame is very ornate with extensive gold gilt scrolling. It measures 10" high by 7" wide. The oval opening measures 5-1/4" high by 3-1/2" wide. It is marked on the back"N.B.I.W. and"2009" which is the model number. I removed the glass and picture to examine them. The glass appears to be rough cut and has several chips ... moreon the edge that can not be seen. The picture is authentic and the period dress suggests that the frame was a wedding gift that later received the photo, sometime in the late 1890's. The picture is affixed to thick paperboard. Condition: Very good overall. No breaks or cracks in the cast iron and the paint and gilt are in good condition with only a small amount of tarnish and paint wear. As mentioned above. The glass has rough edges, but they don't show. The glass and frame both need cleaned. See high resolution pictures for more! This is a wonderful frame and the authentic period photo is fantastic. A great decorating piece.

Antique French Circa 1890 Onyx Double Easel Photograph Frame Bronze Mounts
Offered for auction is an antique onyx photograph frame. Circa 1890. The French frame is made up of double onyx marble doors with bronze mounts, hinges and easel. The onyx doors open to reveal gold metal oval frames with the glass attached. The inside and back is covered in cream colored moire silk which may not be original to the frame. The upper right corner of the onyx has a small chip which I have highlighted in a photo. The chip does not detract from the overall beauty of the frame. The frame is 13 inches high and 10 inches across the onyx. The onyx is 6 1/2 inches high. The inside photo ovals are 4 1/4 inches high and 3 inches across. The frame. Weighing over 5 pounds, is in good condition.
