The outer dimensions of this antique frame are approx. 21 3/4" x 25 3/4" The inside dimensions. What size print will fit, are approx. 14 1/2" x 18 1/2" of course, you could also use a mat) The ornate borders are wood, most of the ones you find have a plaster or gesso that is molded to shape. Both sides of the outside are deeply carved with a textured wreath and fern leafs on the sides. It opens on one side with a double hinge on the other. Once you open this piece there is a luxe embossed jacquard piece of velvet on the left side. And a photo of someone on the right. The frame around the photo has a rose tone look to it. The deguratype photo is of a seemingly wealthy gentleman. The box is approximately 3 1/2 by 3 3/4 by 5/8 inch wide. Large antique oak picture frame from the Victorian era(late 1800s) The frame fits an approx 22 1/8 x 34 1/8 inch print or painting. Its exterior dimensions are approx 25 1/2 x 37 1/2 inches and it is 3/4 inches high. The frame has been restored. Including refinishing of the oak, and is in very good condition. The outer edge of the upper left corner as shown on the first photo has been chipped off, otherwise the frame has a few minor dings, scratches, etc. as typically seen on frames of this age. It is being shipped without glass.

This is an early solid oak shaving mirror. It still has it's original shellac finish which looks to be in good shape for it's age. It has a lower compartment to hold your shaving items like a straight razor. Shaving soap, and brush. Could also have been used to hold toothbrush items. This shaving mirror has the original old glass as it has a few waves in it. It's held in with an old backboard and nails. This frame is solidly built. There are one holes at the top for mounting or can use the hanging wire on the back. The size of the frame is 17 1/2" X 13" and the mirror size is 7 3/4" X 5 1/2"

It measures about 27 by 31 inches, overall and will accommodate a 16 by 20 inch picture. It is in good sturdy condition, but there is minor edge, corner and surface wear. The lemon gold liner has two old poke hole repairs. Overall, it is a fabulous survivor depite the minor flaws. Please know that this item is on display at a store and is subject to availability. ORIGINAL LATE 1800's ANTIQUE LITHOGRAPH of a LITTLE VICTORIAN GIRL WITH LILIES AND A DOVE, in an ANTIQUE OAK& GOLD GESSO FRAME. This Adorable Victorian Lithograph is in Very Good Condition for its age! There are no stains. There is a tear at the top center of the litho. Just above the little girl's head. It does not go into the subject. It has been taped on the back. The Antique Oak& Gold Frame is also in Very Good Condition. It displays nicely. There are some very minor rubs on the oak and a chip on the BACK of the frame on the top left edge. Not visible from the front. There is also some wear in the corners of the ornate inner gesso border. Nothing major or easily noticeable at all when the frame is hung. The frame includes the Original Wavy Glass. Antique Victorian Charcoal Portrait of Man, Oak & Elegant Gold Gilt Gesso Frame
This is a nice 19th c charcoal portrait of a handsome gentleman in the original frame with original wavy glass. The frame is excellent with wide outer border and narrow inner border in elegant gold gilt gesso and a middle border in medium-dark stained oak. There is very little to no gesso or paint loss. The gold gilding is original and quite darkened and spotty in some areas from age. The back is covered with a wood panel with wooden reinforcement slats over the top. The eye hooks and hanging wire are no longer intact. The portrait is in good condition. The charcoal is bold, not smudged or faded, but there is some staining on the paper, mainly on the lower right corner, and some light spottiness elsewhere. Inside of that is a one inch border of red velvet(the pile of which has worn off due to age) and an intricate silver dentil molding that borders the opening of the frame. For your consideration is an extremely rare and beautiful large burnt wood Flemish art or pyrography. Said to have come from an old Odd Fellows Lodge. Containing the entire Lord's Prayer burned by hand onto a 24" by 20" board and adorned with two glass"eyes" Framed in an original Victorian golden oak and gesso picture frame measuring a huge 34" tall by 30" wide. This unusual 19th century art form called"pyrography" was very popular in the late 19th century and small pieces from this period are very easy to find. This example, however, is an extraodinary expression of the art form and perhaps one of a kind. I acquired this many years ago from a dealer who claimed it came from a dismantled Odd Fellows lodge and was bundled with the usual I.O.O.F. regalia commonly seen. If so. This is an original Victorian picture frame for a 16" x 20" picture. It has alternating dark finished oak and gold gilt leafy floral gesso borders and has a replacement piece of glass and cardboard inside. The gold finish over the gesso is original and in good condition with only one tiny touch up on a corner. Otherwise the gesso is 100% complete. The finish on the wood looks very good but there is some loss along the bottom edge where it has been worn away. And there are a few other scuffs and scratches elsewhere. All corners are tight and none of the pieces are loose, but there is a narrow gap between the large gold border and the top wooden border of the frame that is not visible when the frame is hung. There is a thin hanging wire attached to the back to hang the frame in a vertical position. The solid oak molding has a nice massive profile with delicately molded edge. Broad flat inner field and reveal framed by lemon gilt gesso ovolo molding. The surface is a grungy very old, smeary gold(early 1900s) over original metal leaf and natural grain texture is visible. It is sturdy and usable with some expected wear and miter gaps and some tiny losses in the delicate egg and dart. The lower right corner has a chip/loss in the wood. Late 19th century picture frame that measures 18" by 20" with an opening that measures 7 1/2" by 9 1/2" The frame is made of solid oak molding and gilded molded gesso. Although the scenic print is vintage it is not quite as old as the frame. The finish on the oak is original. It has some crazing and wear. I think I would just clean it and give it a coat of Briwax and it would look great. The gesso sections do show some hairlines which are commensurate with their age and very slight loss of surface. The gold finish is dark and almost looks like bronze. Because this wide and impressive frame takes a relatively small photo or print. It's a good way to add importance to something that might be overlooked in a narrow frame.
