This auction is for an old antique Cast Iron Picture frame with easel. The frame takes a picture 4.25’ wide and 6.12’ tall. There are a few spots of rust(look at the pictures) The easle looks to have been replaced, it’s painted gold has 3 flaps with screws to hold the picture in, over all it’s 11’ tall and 7.75’ wide, the only marking I see is the numbers on the back on the bottom that read 9235 3 7919. Antique Cast Iron Victorian Picture Photo Mirror Easel Frame Brass Bronze Color
This antique cast iron table top photo or mirror frame measures 12&1/2" tall. And the opening is approximately 4&5/16" x 6&1/8" It's made of heavy cast iron with a brass-colored metallic paint or plating. As shown, it's in very good condition, with no breaks or missing metal, just typical wear to the brass paint/plate here and there and a nice aged patina. The stand works fine. This does not have any backing. But since this has a metal stand, something can easily be rigged up to hold a photo or small mirror in the frame. I actually displayed this with a piece of murky antique shaving mirror glass in it, but because it was a bit small for the frame I had to place a slightly larger piece of glass taken out of a photo frame behind it to hold it in place, so I am NOT including the mirror in this listing.

They both have glass in the frames but one is missing the original cardboard. One is missing the stand and the one with the stand is missing a piece that holds the cardboard in the back.The stand is a bit loose but it can hold up and that one is marked on the back with an"X" and the number"08939. Antique Victorian CAST IRON PICTURE FRAME Drape BOW SWAG Gilt Paint ORNATE
This attractive old cast iron picture frame is fresh out of a local estate sale. It measures 13 1/2" x 8 1/2" and the picture opening is 4 5/6" x 3 1/4" This frame is beautifully detailed with bow. Drapes and garlands. I believe this frame dates to the mid 19th century. Unfortunately the frame is missing the back easel stand so the frame cannot stand alone. There are a few shallow age lines around the bow. The bow area is completely sturdy. Original patina with deep mellow gilt paint. No manufacturer's mark. This frame is exceptionally lovely.

There is some wear or chipping of the paint on some parts of the frame which is not significant in its overall appearance. There is a marking Iron art and the number JM 32 on the back of the frame. The frame measures approx 16 1/4" from the top to the bottom and approx 12 1/2" from side to side. The mirror measures approx 7 1/4" diameter. There is some wear of the paint which is uniform in its wear. There is a marking on the back of the frame which is hard to decipher. There is a single leg on the back that holds the frame in a prone position.There is a round metal plate on the back that holds the mirror in place. There is very little noticeable wear on the glass. An Early Victorain or possibly earlier 1800's Cast iron. Very detailed Bird Frame with scrolls and no damage. There is an old nail holding the left side in place, the other 3 sides are permanent tabs. The patina is almost black and wonderfuly in great condition, no damages. There is a piece of newer glass inside and an old photo of 3 children. A beautiful early small frame of 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" It hangs by a metal ring. This cast iron frame has an ornate, floral design surrounding the bevel glass insert. The cast iron portion of the frame has a brass or gilt colored paint on it. The metal back of the frame is held in by four screws and there is a loop for the frame to hang on a wall. The back of the frame is marked, 669, Patd, and"June 19, 94. The frame measures approximately 15" tall, 10" wide, 2 1/4" deep. It fits a picture or mirror approximately 71/2" by 10 1/2" That is what the glass measures approximately as well. This frame does not come with a mirror but could be used for one if you would like.
