Antique Eastlake Victorian Black Forest Picture Frame; walnut, old surface
Up for bids we offer this antique. Black Forest, picture frame at no reserve. From the Victorian period, it's made of walnut with a grooved surface and cut and carved corner medalions. The wood still has its original shellac; we cleaned it up but otherwise it's unrestored. The inner frame still has its original plaster and gold leaf paint with only minor aging flaws. The frame's overall measurements are 9 1/2" by 7 3/8" and the opening is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" It's well-built and still tight and sound. It's right out of an old home where it had been hidden away in the attic for decades. It's in very good, overall condition and is missing only a small pointed piece of one of the corner medalions which doesn't hurt its appearance. Antique Pair of Eastlake Victorian Black Forest Picture Frames with Bird Prints
Up for bids we offer this pair of antique. Black Forest picture frames with no reserve. From the Victorian period, they are made of black walnut with carved surfaces that resemble crisscrossed tree branches. Each of the frames overall measurements is 10 5/8" by 8 3/8" and each has an opening that is 6 5/8" by 4 3/8" They are well-built and still tight and sound. Both are in very good, overall condition but one does have a 1 inch crack in the glass in the upper right corner and the other is missing a small piece of wood in the back which isn't visible when hanging on a wall. Fresh from the attic of an old local estate-great old Victorian metal black picture frame. Does not contain a glass but that is easily replaced. Dimensions is 6 5/8 inches by 5 1/8 inches. Inside measurement is 4 3/4 X 3 1/4. Also has a mat which with an inside dimension 4 X 2 1/2. Put in your own mat and make it any size you need! Good used in as found condition with some dings and scratches as to be expected on an item of this age. Great old frame for your projects! Condition as shown in scan. ANTIQUE Victorian Aesthetic CARVED Black Lacquer Ebony Picture Frame 1800's WOW
This is an Antique Picture Frame. It dates from the mid 1800's and measures 12 3/16ths by 14 3/16ths inches. It is black lacquer over wood with gold gilt. This is frame in frame construction. One wood frame inside another. The outer frames black lacquer is cut or carved to reveal the chalk or plaster underneath that is over the wood. Shown in my photos is a corner view of the construction and a view of each corners hand cut decoration. It has a cheezy 1960's Robert Wood copy print in it, I'm sure you can do better than that! Good condition for its years, but not without minor flaws.

Antique Victorian Pair Large Oval Black & Gold Wood and Gesso Picture Frames
This is a stunning pair of antique Victorian era oval picture frames that are identical and in very good condition. All of the floral gesso designs on the frame are complete and intact and the wood is excellent. The paint is all intact(a few scratches have been touched up but they blend in well) The black is still glossy and not faded and the areas of floral gesso have gold accents. There is no glass included for either. And the photos that are in the frames are rough. There are screws on the back with wire attached for wall hanging, but the wire will probably need to be tightened or replaced because it seems to be too long. The frame dimensions are 21" W x 25" H. The opening is for a picture measuring 16" x 20" They could be converted to horizontal frames if the screws were placed differently. These items will be packed ... morewell with care and insured.

Shaped outer framing with inner frame or liner as a flat piece of wood with an oval deeply cut out to form the opening. The four corners of the flat liner have inscribed lines that form scrolls and framing of black lacquering and gilt lines. The inside of the oval opening is deeply recessed with gold gilding. Victorian Antique Wood Gesso Black & Gold Gilt Oval Picture Frame With Mirror
Early Victorian carved wood and gesso frame with mirror in an oval shape being offered in its as is condition. The design is very beautiful but unfortunately the frame has some damages as seen in all the pictures and would need some restoration. Even though it does display a certain shabby chic elegance in its current distressed condition. The frame is oval in shape and it is decorated top. Bottom and both sides with leaves, nuts and berries in a high relief. There is a chis- cross design along the inside edge and the outside section is painted black. The mirror shows some age spots and a long(cut) line that shows through, but this is to be expected on an item this old. The back of the frame is a heavy piece of wood with a rectangular opening that has curved corners inside of which the heavy and thick mirror fits. The mirror is covered with ... morea flat piece of wood which is held in place with small nails. We have not removed this wood to expose the mirror and we have left everything in its as found condition. Please look at all the pictures to see where the gesso is chipped. Antique Floral Carved Victorian Picture Frame Original Glass Black Forest Style
Up for auction is an antique 19th Century folk art Black Forest style picture frame. With what appears to be original glass, recently found at auction in the Chester County, PA area. It is found in good used condition. There are half flower style flower carvings in a repeating pattern form. It may be hand carved. Regardless, it is of very fine quality. This frame will accommodate any 5 1/2" x 11" The overall size of the entire frame is approximately 10" x 15 1/2" in size. There are a few air bubbles in the glass, indicating age. The hanging wire is missing and will need to be replaced. There are some losses to the original finish is some areas. This is seen in the photos. Antique Victorian Walnut Deep Well Frame Black Lemon Gold Liners for 8x10"
Up for auction is an antique Victorian era deep well walnut frame with black and lemon gold liners recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. There are losses and damage to the lemon gold liner as well as surface scratches on each side. So some repairs will be warranted. The old original eye hooks still remain but no wire nor the original glass or mirror. It fits an 8x10 piece of either or canvas. At some point this has been reglued- typical as glue from that era does not usually make it into this age. The whole piece overall is 12" x 14" x 2" from wall, heavy wood, still sturdy. This is a lovely antique Victorian shadowbox picture frame. It is in very good condition. With some minor wear to the finish along the outer edges, limited to a few areas not entire frame. It appears to have been repainted some where in time. However it looks very well done. The frame consists of 3 layers. The top layer of the frame is Black with carvings that are highlighted with silver paint. The second layer is silver colored. The layer closest to the glass is black with a design of rings linked together. The rings are highlighted with gold tones! Its truly a delightful looking frame. The outer dimensions of the frame are approx. 15 and 1/4 by 13 and 1/4 inches. Inner dimensions of frame are approx- 9 and 1/2 by 7 and 1/2 inches. This is a great looking antique late 19th century ornate Victorian distressed Silver and black frame. It has very nice inlay of brown wood and is a nicely crackled to provide a faux finish. Late 1800s. Overall it measures 12 x 14. The molding is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide and is probably made out of walnut or oak. It had some repairs on the back because it has a new wire anchor. And is strung taught.

The ornate portion is metal(rather than plaster) thus has no chips, just mild darkening. This will brighten up considerably with cleaning, as I see a brighter gold underneath when I wipe at surface dust. Window measure: 15.5" x 19.5" Outside measure: 23 7/8" x 27 3/4" Approx. 2 5/8" thickness counting all built in layers. Frame diameter approx. 4 1/4" The old original picture& matte is inside but has significant damage&or age discoloration.
