Antique Victorian Picture Frame - All wood ornate design Gold 10 1/2 x 12 1/2
This is a beautiful Victorian frame. Oval with ornate design all around. Has a 1 1/2" depth. Has a pretty wedding photo in it that looks to be c1910-20. Can be easily replaced. Frame is in good condition. However has a couple of defects, two minor cracks in the wood that have been touched up and don't effect the use of the frame at all, its only on the front layer doesn't go all the way through. I have taken pictures of them close up. Frame measures 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 and the picture is 6 x 8. Very nice piece from the past. TERMS: Payment is due within 3 days from end of Auction. Beautiful antique Victorian Eastlake hand painted gold accented shadow box frame. This piece is in overall good antique condition. With some wear from age to the frame. It has some slight nicks, but no big chips. Very nice piece. There is a chip to the wood piece that holds the pictures in place, it won't be seen when it is in use. Great estate find! Offered for sale is this antique French hand carved wood wall picture frame. It decorated with flowers and leaves design. It has old picture of a lady in it. I opened up the framing and saw a interesting antique stock share holder paper backing the picture. It has a date but couldn't find the year on it, perhaps it has been cut off. The frame is in very good condition for age, it does have some minor chips on top of roses' petals, they are unnoticeable. I believe this is a late 19th century piece, possibly was from France. The backing thin oval shaped wood board is solid hard wood thin cut. The old hanging wire is rusty, I put a new one. The frame is 22-1/2"H x 13-3/4"W x1-3/4"Thickness. If you're looking to frame an Old Master piece in an appropriate frame. Then this could be the one you're looking for. It's an Italian frame, finished in what I think is gold leaf, and I think it probably dates from the 1920s. This frame comes with a beautiful spandrel and can be used with or without it. Without the spandrel, the rabbet is 11&1/2" by 11&1/2. With it, the diameter is 9&3/4. Overall, the frame is 15" by 15. Condition is as found and as shown. You are looking at 1 of 2 matching Shadow Box Frame with portrait Glass. I purchase the pair at an Estate Sale in Newport Road Inland. This frame is made of wood and has a few minor scratches. The frame is in very good condtion for its age. Around 1810-1830. The Flowers and molding on the frame are all intact. There is a nice 1/2" wide white trim that border's the inner part of the frame. The painting is a portrait of a woman in a black dress and a white collar. I don't know who it is in the painting or who painted the p. I didn't take the painting out of the frame to check.
