It is of blue glass with a polished pontil mark and an applied handle- The blue is not that almost black dark cobalt, but a blue a bit lighter and greener in colour. Size: about 10.5 cm( just over 4 inches) high. Weight: 162 grammes Condition: no damage. heavy wear to the base. see the photographs. The top is shaped like a sphere with dimples kind of like a golf ball and has an opening at the top. The base is made out of milk glass and has an ornate design. I do not see any makers marks anywhere on it. I do not know exactly what this is or was used for. I think originally it may have had something that went on top of it but I'm not positive. It could be used as a vase for short stem flowers or it could be used as a decorative potpourri holder maybe. It stands roughly 9 inches tall. This delicate square milk glass dish is 5 inches across. It has a lovely translucent quality which I wasn't very successful in capturing in photos. The color of its entrancing glow reminds me of tea with a lot of milk. I don't know when it was made but am certain it is quite old. It has no maker's mark. Please ask any questions you have.
