The salt lid looks like someone couldn't open it, and used some sort of tool to grip the lid, causing little dents on opposite sides of the lid, just above the threads. The salt shaker also has a couple of very tiny flakes at the edge of the base, and the pepper shaker has a little bump just above the bottom, which occurred in the molding of the glass. These shakers were molded, then cut, and there are several very tiny imperfections in the making, which can be seen with close examination using a magnifying glass. Some of these are shown in the photographs, but they are hard to see. If you have any questions. Or need more information, please don't hesitate to ask before bidding. VERY RARE Antique Vintage Victorian Silver Thimble Etui cut glass scent bottle
Incredible silver Thimble forming a case(étui) discretely hiding a miniature cut glass bottle to hold scent or perfume. To perhaps refresh the'Lady' while sewing? There are no hallmarks that I can see but a Jeweller has assured me it is solid Silver. Similarly there is no size marked on the Thimble- Measurements: Diameter base thimble 1.6cms Diameter base etui 1.8cms Diameter crown of Thimble 1.2cms Height thimble 2.5cms Height étui 3.5cms The Thimble& Etui are in Excellent condition. Just the silver could do with some polishing, but I would rather leave that to the'experts' See the pretty engraved pattern around the center of the Thimble with also a'shield' engraved ready for initials! The Thimble screws onto the base holding the scent bottle. This screw works perfectly. The indentations on the base ... moreof the Etui I feel sure are there for a reason. But I have found no information about them. The Miniature cut glass bottle has 9 facets with more. Even smaller, shoulder' facets. The stopper is in perfect condition and if you look closely you will see a pattern built into the top from air bubbles. I presume. The lower part of the stopper has been ground so as to fit well. Which it does. TRULY A RARE ITEM! Have fun bidding! I'm in France at present so postage to the UK will take a couple of days longer. I shall be sending it by trackable post.

12" INTAGLIO CUT GLASS DIVIDED DISH This fabulous divided condiment dish or bowl is deeply intaglio cut to the underside. It is artistically decorated with a different scene/subject to each section. One has a swimming fish. One has cucumbers, another shows olives and the largest, a celery. Amazing detail! There is a deep central(sauce) well. Both the edges of the dish and the well are panelled. The dish measures 12+” in diameter to the top and is 1 1/2” deep. The well is another 1/2" It is in excellent vintage condition. With no visible wear.looks never to have been used. Cased in a thin layer of purple glass and then cut through this to the clear glass in a traditional diamonds pattern. The base is ground and polished, but the rim is rounded, not cut. Small but Lovely. I'd date this to between about 1890 and 1940. Size: about 8 cm wide x 6 cm high( 3 1/8 x 2 3/8 inches) Weight: 101 grammes Condition: Good- some light wear to the base and rim. This is a lovely vintage(probably Victorian) cut glass small decanter with stopper. The decanter is nicely cut around the neck. Centre and sides. The rim is a very attractive petal design. There is a small chip in the shaped rim which is hard to spot and doesn't detract from it's displaying qualities. The stopper(not sure if it is the original) has a small slither of glass missing down the side. This is a lovely collectable piece. Beautiful ocean blue in color two piece cut glass dresser box; used once for powder but not positive. Could put just about anything inside and if you separate the piece. You could use the bottom portion as an ashtray. Middle section measures 16" round; height about 3 1/2" including the metal piece. Its in perfect condition to my eyes; I see no cracks, chips or any other impurities on the dish. It is heavy and very nice. I bought it at a yard sale where the gentleman selling it said it was his grandmother's. The house they lived in was seven generations and it was stocked with items from way back when! Unusual Form Vintage Antique Cut Etched Glass Cruet Sterling Silver Stopper
This very unusual cruet stands 6-1/2 inches tall and is about 6 inches wide. Cut glass and etched with a grape design. It has a long spout and a bent neck. The sterling top of the stopper is an acorn shape. The lower edge of the acorn has a tiny dent and also a very small hallmark(or 2 hallmarks, one a mis-striket? I am unable to decipher the hallmark. The glass portion of the stopper has a thin, shallow channel running lengthwise. It is clearly from manufacture and is not a crack and does not compromise the piece, Very interesting and unusual. I was only able to find one other like it on the internet.

Went to the flea market, and still have some items from the weeks ago farm estate auction- there’s lots of neat stuff that you don‘t want to miss! Here I go again. Buying something that I know nothing about(glass) just because of how pretty it is- and this one is! Perfect for a ring bowl or trinket dish, I thought, this lovely cut glass bowl in the shape of a basket is both a deep purple as well as a clear glass. That purple color is actually glass- I want to point out, not a finish over clearl glass- see photo 10 where you can see the swirls of the bottom of the purple. It's vintage, if not antique, and it's a small enough size to fit just about anywhere measuring 3 3/4" ... moreby 2 3/4" across the top, 2" high at the sides of the bowl and 4 1/4" high at the top of the handle. I think it's heavy for its size too, at 1/2 lb. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or issues that I can find. It's dusty/dirty, especially on the inside, and it needs a good bath- I have not cleaned or messed with the as found patina in any way.
