The frame is made from panels of"bone" with a narrow Mother Of Pearl boarder. Total measurent is approx. 4- 3/4" by 4- 1/4" The back is covered with fabric and has a label from Avorio. This is an old vintage Art Nouveau lady chalkware figure from local estate. It is 24" by 6" by 6 1/2" and features a woman holding a flower. Upon close inspection I see a very hard to spot tight line on her neck. See closeup. This is hard to see and not worth noting. It looks like two floral petals have been touched up. See photo. 2 Vintage Victorian Lady Girl Oval Ornate Framed Velvet Pictures, Italy?
Two beautiful vintage portrait framed ladies in this lot. They are stunning. Dressed in the period clo thes and hair. These are from the l ate 30s to 40s and are in great shape for their age. The ladies are under slightly rounded glass and the glass is perfect no scrat ches or chips. The wo od frames are in great shape. Just a bit of paint loss due to age but if you like they can be repainted. I do like the age d look though. Good size they are 7 and 1/2 inches tall and will look great on any wall. Hi. For sale a beautiful small antique needlepoint/ petite point of a Victorian Era Lady. The frame is an oval shape with gold balls on the feet and a gold ring on top for hanging that folds down. The petit point is tight knit and the craftsmanship is extraordinary. It is in good condition for an antique. But has a little piece of the matte missing near the ladies shoulder(see picture. She has old original paint and pretty Morning glory flowers on her base. It is also artist signed on her shoulder. She has a 3/8" shallow chip on her dress. MADE BY: Porzellanfabrik Unger. Schneider& Cie. 1859 until 1885) Based on a ducal concession. The businessman Carl Schneider(who had worked at the Wallendorf factory for some time) together with modelling artist Karl Unger and businessman Hermann Hutschenreuther founded their business in 1859. As Hutschenreuther was a sleeping partner. His name does not appear in the company name until 1885. At first the company only produced tableware. Miniature sets for children and a few kitchen utensils, mostly decorated in the cobalt blue'Zwiebel- and'Strohblumenmuster' styles which sometimes included gilding. But unlike many other facilities they did not simply copy ... moreexisting designs but rather used their own creativity and started with export fairly early, which was soon rewarded as the first international award was received 1875 at the Exposición Internacional de Chile(Santiago World Fair) The success also showed a problem as the first marks that had been used looked similar to the marks used earlier by the factory in Gießhübel. This is an old original chalkware lady bust statue sculpture from a wonderful old local wealthy estate. It is 16 3/4" tall by 10 1/2" by 6 1/2" It features a beautiful young woman with red floral poppies in her hair. It has its original paint. The lady has a shallow nick on her nose tip. See profile photo number 4 to how shallow it is. This is almost not worth noting. I see paint flakes on the back of her head. Front right base, and a few other places not worth noting. There is a faint hard to see slight paint loss from estate sale folks putting a gummy price tag on her chest not worth noting. See photo. I rarely see these chalk busts anymore. She is dressed in a very elegant gown and has flowers in adorning her beautiful ringleted hair. The artist: Achille Deveria(1800 Paris- 1857 ibidem) was a well-known French painter. Graphic and lithograph artist of the 19th century and elder brother of the also renowned Eugene Deveria. Achille studied under Lafitte and Girodet and began exhibiting in 1822 at the Paris Salon. He dedicated himself mainly to genre and watercolor painting. In 1830s he came to lithography and soon became a leading French lithographer. Works by Deveria are displayed in the Louvre, museums of Reims, Montpellier, Avignon and in international public collections. Oil paintings by him are very rare at the modern ... moreart market. Victorian Lady's Bust with Bird Chalk Ware Plaster Antique
Wonderful plaster chalk ware lady's bust statue is up for auction. It has Victorian styling and may be from that period but I am unsure. It is old and has accumulated a lot of dust. There are two areas with slight chipping where you can see the difference in the color of the underlying plaster. They are shown in two of the pictures. I have not tried to clean it. I am not sure how much of these are hand painted as there does look like brush marks in quite a few spots and the works look like watercolors- please look at the close ups- this is not my area of expertise. These are mounted to an old matt like board. I took this out of a very old gold gesso frame that had cracked glass and broken gesso all over. At some time the faded green velvet inserts were added. so left. the woman is in real good condition. there are photo labels on the backside. the wood backer is not affixed but will be for shipping. the little girl tin type image has some bends in the tin but did not open to straighten. oval view is 9 1/2 inch x 7 1/8 wide. the frame itself is13 1/2 x 11 1/2 label on back from clarks ferrotype broad street newark nj opening is round corner rectangle the front is oval view. wear on frames as to be expected but truly not bad as you can see. while not exactly same frame they are very close, size is same just a shade or 2 difference in finish. email any questions.

Large Picture of Lady with Roses and Hat on Fabric Up for sale is a beautiful picture depicting a Victorian lady in a feathered hat. Holding roses. This picture is quite large. I was told it is painted on fabric, but I can't say for sure. I can find no signature or date. But her clothing would tell me she is Victorian. It is in its original dark wood frame. This picture measures a little over 24" with the frame measuring 1.5" The picture is in very good condition overall. With the colors still very vibrant. It evokes all the beauty and romance associated with Victorian. The upper left corner has some scratches, but it doesn't take away from the beauty of this picture. See picture. I had a really tough time getting good photos of this picture. The green“matt” is an olive green as shown in the first picture. Not the brighter green as shown in some of the others that were taken with a flash to show sharper picture details. Double frame picture of a Victorian lady sitting in her silk finery reading a book on the table. There are so many details in the picture. From the tapestry chair back to the rug, to the flowers under the glass dome on the table and even a reflection of the room in the round mirror above the table(sorry but I just couldn’t get good, sharp photos) As you can see. There is a little damage to the inside frame with one small section at the bottom of ... morethe embellished layer missing and some gouges along the side, there is one small portion of the top right embellishment missing also. The sides could be touched up with gold ink pen and someone handy could replicate that missing portion if it bothers you. Personally, I don’t mind the dings on old pieces as it adds to their character. Framed this piece is 8" tall x 7" wide x 1-1/8" deep. It is a solid piece and much prettier than my photos. I don't know if they are original or reproduction photos, but they have very brown paper on back which is sealed indicating an early 1900's age, never been removed from glass frames, I estimate early 1900's(but just guessing incase I am wrong. May be late 1800's or later, very unsure) There is some writing on the back but I can't make out what it says, Each measures approximately 31cm height x 21cm width, Both portrait photographs feature Victorian attire.
