The original patent for Amberina was issued to Joseph Locke of New England Glass Co. Mt. Washington and Hobbs. Brockunier also produced Amberina in the US during the late 19th century, 1880-90's) Amberina was also made by a number of factories in Europe, including several Bohemian glass houses(Moser) The bowl is beautifully executed with quatrefoil rim and"Raindrop" optic adding subtle texture to the interior surface. The glass shows rich color shading from ruby to a warm amber at the bowl interior. The bowl is decorated with hand painted florals in an Aesthetic inspired design which shows fine detail throughout the interior surface. The bowl measures 8 5/8" wide, 9" on the diagonal and 2 3/8" deep(the O.D. of the foot ring is 3 3/4" The base has a ground/ polished circular pontil mark and foot ring. Antique Bohemian Art Glass Basket Description: Bohemian glass basket is cased glass with applied handle. Spatter decor is blue. Brown and yellow with silver spangle decor. Exterior is opaque white and on the rim there is a ribbon crystal along the edge. Handle is V shape with teeny seed bubbles present. Bottom of the low footed base has an unpolished pontil. Not marked. I believe this is Kralik. 1900-1910. No visible chips. Hairline breaks or mineral deposit. Measures 5-3.4" tall with a 5-1/2" x 4-3/4 diameter rim and the base is 2-1/4" diameter. Antique Victorian Era Aqua Blue Vaseline Glass Epergne Centerpiece
All parts are original and are antique- the bowl and the 3 side flutes are original and go together- the center is a replacement- I had the center flute and I am including it because it looks pretty as a replacement until you can find a matching center or something similar in color. This is very pretty as is since the stems are all vaseline glass- it looks pretty good. I will add more photos and measurements later tonight.
