Dating from the 1870s, it has burl panels all over, hand carved crest on the very top, five different style shapely mirrors, rose quartz on the drop center and two top columns, four small drawers, one large drawer on the base and a hidden drawer on the very bottom. The burl panels are all picture frame molded on the drawers and on the inside of the drop center. It has oversize candle shelves. In my over 50 years in the business, I don’t believe I have owned this model even though I have had my share of drop center dressers.

This is a very unusual bubble glass display dome. Selling just as I found it. As you can see by the photos there is a headless taxidermy bird with a naturalistic scene in the background. The glass dome sits on a footed wood base(for table display) or the glass can be taken off the base and there is a hook so that it can be hung on the wall as well. Obviously the inside items can be taken out and the dome used for whatever objet d'art or objet de vertu you choose. Glass is in excellent condition. Has some very old tape around the outer edge. Rare Large Victorian Cranberry Glass Epergne C1880 Unusual Shape 7 Flute
For sale is this large and stunning Victorian glass epergne that dates to around 1880. Rare shape to the secondary flute style and fixing. Above the base is a tall centre flute. This is surrounded by three smaller flutes and then three small basket flutes. The detail is superb as shown in lots of pictures below. Stands an impressive 24 inches 61cm tall with the base being 9 1/2 inches 24cm wide. Stunning condition with only three minor bits of damage. Firstly a small chip to the inner edge of one of the medium flutes. It only measures 1/8 inch 0.5cm wide picture below greatly enlaarged. Secondly two small sections of the glass piped decoration on the sides of the flutes. The flute itself is perfect just the over glass missing. With the busy decoration these are difficult to see. For sale is this unusual Victorian glass epergne with silver plated base that dates to around 1880. The makers mark to the base is for James Dixon& Sons. A company based in Sheffield started in 1829 that continued to make quality works into the 1920's after which the company was taken over by William Hutton& Sons. This has an unusual base that depicts an eagle standing on a rock. Really well proportioned with a stunning cranberry flute. The glass is a beautiful rich pink. There are a couple of sharp points to the flutes. Not damage but the way the glass cooled when made. It also has the air bubbles you'd expect to see in hand made old glass. No damage. An Unusual Pointed Victorian Pocket Glass Scent Bottle & Stopper c1890
A nice antique cut glass pocket scent bottle with its original stopper. The bottle is cut with six sides which taper to a point and the stopper is cut square at the top with triangular shaped facets. There are several tiny air bubbles encased in the stopper. It is 9.9cm or just under 4" long including the stopper.

Circa 1840. This superb knife-rest is unusually large, measuring 5 3/8 inches in length and was clearly designed to support a large carving knife. These rests are hard to find nowadays so we are particularly pleased to offer this example which would be a great addition to any fine dining table. This beautiful knife rest is of dumbell form. The oval'melon' ends being especially well carved and cut with a variety of different glass-cutting techniques.
