Here are a pair of 14 x 11 inch signed. Vintage oil paintings of Hawaiian children in their native wear. The children are smiling and the colors are vibrant as the photographs display. You can really see the richness of this artist's work when you observe the flowery leis, and the careful details employed as the board was carefully stained around the edges to bring the child subjects into focus. It is difficult to date these pieces. They may be from the 40's, 50's or 60's, and could well have been done by a street artist selling to the tourists. There are scuffs and scratches, but the colors are so wonderful that any damage gets lost in the beauty of the art.

You will get the 4 paintings that are pictured. And they are all original oil paintings signed by the artists! The top left one, beach scene with birds is signed"Bond" the top right one, mountain landscape scene, is signed"Williams" and the bottom 2 are both signed by the same artist, I just can't make out the name, it looks like"Bolin" and those 2 appear to be by a french artisit, but I couldn't find any art under that name, so I'm sure that isn't correct. Each painting is in a nice frame, each art piece is approx 7" x 5" and all of the frames are approx 15" x 13" except for the Williams one, it is a bit smaller, like 13" x 11" All of these would look awesome hung up near each other. Or done separate. Framed Clown Oil Paintings on Black Velvet (2) Signed by "Ramon", Made in Mexico
Two great vintage"Clown Oil Paintings on Black Velvet. Both are signed"Ramon. Both are on wood stretcher bars. Then stapled into rustic, rough-cut southwestern style wood frames. Paintings are 12" x 18" Outside dimensions of frames are 14 1/2" x 20 1/2" I think the paint used might be for showing under a black light. But even though I did own one back in the 70's, I don't own a black light today to check. Both are in overall good condition. With several minor bumps, described below: The painting with the clown smelling the flower and signature on lower right: Just above bottom of frame about 5 1/2" from left side there is a rubbed area in the black velvet. It appears that something pushed against it or rubbed up against it. No holes. Just a lighter area along the edge of the stretcher bar. You can ... morefeel a slight indentation when touched with your finger. Use the eBay"zoom" feature to get real close-up look at this area. Lower left corner of frame has several small areas where wood was bumped and chips are missing. The always popular"Sad clown with tears" painting. With signature on lower left: At top center of painting there is a tiny hole in the velvet-it appears that someone missed or jabbed a nail through it when hanging the framed painting. Hole is very small-like 1/16" Could easily be touched up and closed. Framed edges also have some bumps, but lesser that the one described above. Any questions. Please email me for quick answer. You are actually bidding/buying TWO OIL PAINTINGS by Louise Burdick. Who lived on Keyser Pond on the Danville/Peacham Road here in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. As I understand the story- in the late 60's there was only one house on Keyser Pond- that of Louise Burdick. She gave these paintings to a dear friend who would visit her. These are from the estate of the friend who recently passed away. The first painting: Winter scene. Mallards flying over open water, snow in background. On an 18 x 24 canvas board. Estate find! Lot of 5 paintings. Unframed, measuring 24" x 12" Three of the five are signed, looks like M A SUNDOWN, and 1940. The remaining two are not signed but appear to be of the same artist. Nicely done, very pretty collection of work. They were a little dusty when I found them and may need some cleaning but all in all I think they are in really good shape. They have never been framed and were found hidden away in a drawer for decades.

These two paintings are both signed A Gibbons. I could not find anything about the artist, but believe they are midcentury. Each is 18 1/2" x 14 1/2" gilt wood frames, on the back is an old sticker indicating the frame shop is in Montreal, so believe artist is Canadian. They are either oil or acrylic on a thin masonite board, not wood or canvas, so have a more glossy look to the finish. The glossy finish picks up the light in a bright room, but colors look darker than pictures show in a room with low light. Very good condition, I didn't notice any damage. I am selling a gorgeous pair of 19th Century French Impressionist Oil on Canvas Paintings. Signed by a mystery artist. I found these paintings in my mom's attic. I am not an art major or certified appraiser- I am just providing information I was told after taking them to three different auction houses and doing the best I can to describe these paintings. All three appraisers said they are definitely 19th Century European oil paintings in a Plaster Gold Gilt frame and appear to be from the Impressionist period. the plaster is how you can tell their age- wood frames were generally not used until much later) None of them could make out the European cursive initials signed by the artist. And each had his own opinion of what they think these paintings could sell for at an auction.
