Up for bids is a older. Very gently used Rubbermaid Cooler. It is the 6 quart/6 pack size. On one side there is a scene of a man fishing and on the other side is a scene of a man hunting. There is a few very minor scratches and a couple very small stains on the inside, but overall in great shape for its age. Would be a great cooler to keep that sixer cold while fishing or hunting. Schrade Scrimshaw Hunting Knife w/Mountain & Ram Scene, Unusual Blade Pattern
This offering is for a genuine Schrade brand knife with scrimshaw handles( used) It is accompanied by a suede leather belt sheath. Pictures are of the knife offered for sale– they are not stock photos. This is a very unusual Schrade specimen. First. The tang stamp reads simply“Shrade” with no other markings. From research I have been able to do, best guess is that it is a knife made for Parker-Frost Cutlery back in the 1970s. Another peculiarity is found in an odd swirling pattern found throughout the blade surface. The swirls are somewhat similar to a Damascus pattern but appear to be more casually done. It is a quality made knife. Measuring approximately 9-3/8” when open. The blade measure 4-1/16” with a 3-11/16” cutting edge. It is 5-1/4” when closed and weighs in at 5.5 ounces. Liners are brass and there is a separate brass liner lock. ... moreHandles are smooth Delrin with a mountain scene and 2 rams etched on the front scale. Bolsters are nickel silver and there is a lanyard hole in the rear bolster. This is a beautiful older knife that will add depth and interest to any Shrade collection. Still in near perfect condition, two tiny rub marks to the finish on the spout rim. and a tiny wear mark on the finish of one embossed deer's nose. A very nice little mid to late 19th century European. Probably Swedish, pressed birch bark snuff box with a stag and hunting dog scene on the hinged lid. It measures 3-1/2” w. x 1-7/8” d. x 1” h. The bottles were old hand blown bottles dating back to the 1880's, thus the 1880's date we ascribed to this one. I believe this was referred to as'transfer ware' where a picture was'transferred' onto an item like this. This is quite a beautiful example. Check it out! Vintage Original Schmidt Beer Hunting Dog Scene Lighted Sign Man Cave Light
This auction is for a Schmidt Beer Lighted sign. I while back I had bought several original Schmidt Translucent wild life scenes that were never put into signs. So I decided to build wooden frames with florescent lights inside and turn them into cool useable lighted signs again. The frames are made of real wood and stained and have a satin finish on them, the lights are brand new florescent fixture, all you would need to do is plug the sign in, the back has a Masonite board on it which can easily be removed if you ever have to remove and replace the bulb. This scene is a Hunting Dog that is standing proud in a field. Around the outside of the front, there is the color going around, in which appears to be a stain glass look. On the upper center of the piece there is the iconic Schmidt Beer red logo. The piece is in good condition, with some ... morelight minor edge paint ware here and there. The piece measures about 20 inches wide and 15 inches tall and 5 inches thick. This would be a great decor piece for your beer man cave. These are ready to be set on any flat surface, additionally, if you wanted to hang the piece you would have to put in two screws, stretch a wire and you are ready to hang. Circa 1860-1870, but please make up your own mind about this. The bag measures approx 5 inches(130mm) wide. By 6 3/4 inches(170mm) tall and is covered all over with a beautiful beadwork designs. There is a STAG HUNTING scene on one side. And a DOG SITTING BY A COTTAGE on the other. It is in very good original condition with very light wear consistent with its great age. This is an original 1916 calendar compliments of P.L. Graham of Croswell. Michigan. It shows a hunting scene at the top called Blazing The Trail. Print by Brown and Bigelow. It has the complete set of months at the bottom. It measures 17 by 10 1/2 inches. It has some light staining at bottom and a couple of 1 inch tears at bottom border. Here is a nice old German tapestry I purchased many years ago. This tapestry according to the former owner came over in the early 1900's with a German immigrant family. The scene is of a medieval hunting styled theme of deer/stag being hunted. Also of a man blowing a horn with dogs in hand, maidens, a castle, etc. You can tell it is old and well made. The back has a few water stains on the back. The photos should be able to tell all. The goblet has a large teardrop and wafer stem with a circular foot. And this particular type of goblet is referred to as a pokel or Gesundheitsglas. The goblet has a remarkable cut glass hunt scene with a stag and doe on one side, and a hound chasing a rabbit on the other. The scene displays various rocks, grass, and trees with birds flying in the sky as well. The goblet stands about 6 5/8" tall and the bottom has a reference number in ink indicating that this was once part of either a museum or private collection. Antique Chinese Lacquered Wood Folding Fan This stunning 19th century large Chinese fan features an elaborate hand-painted Manchu hunting scene. Complete with archers on horseback, walking and running men with spears, servants carrying killed animals, and Chinese royalty riding a white horse while a servant shieldis him with a parasol. A snowcapped mountain can be seen in the background, along with deer, rabbits, boar, brown rocks, green trees, and boughs of white blossoms. Story of a thousand words. The vellum leaf is hand painted with a brown border and silver foil edging along the top. The ribs are lacquered black with intricate chinoiserie detail. Antique c. 1820 English Staffordshire Soft Paste Pitcher w/ Deer Hunting Scene
This somewhat large(not a small cream pitcher or a syrup pitcher) pink luster-painted porcelain jug from England. It probably dates back to around 1820. Its height at spout 6 5/8" Width from handle to spout 6 1/2" depth at belly 4 3/8" It is unmarked except for two letters or numbers on the base, hard to read but might say"85" and I don't know the meaning of the mark. This is what is called Staffordshire soft paste pottery, and typical of Staffordshire it depicts a country scene on each side. One side features two deer resting under a tree and the other side features a deer being hunted down by 2 dogs. There are green leaves and pink lustre branches accenting the raised pattern around the edges and the handle is shaped like a branch. The colors in the hand painted design are still very clear and bright but there ... moreare spots where the green paint on some of the leaves and especially the brown paint on some flowers on the bodies of the deer have worn away due to age. There is hardly if any other usage wear and there are no chips, breaks, or repairs. There is crazing on the inside of the rim and there is one crazing line darker than others, sort of looks like a hairline but doesn't show on front of pitcher so unsure. There are also about three or four pinhead size dots on the rim which might be places where the glaze popped to reveal unglazed areas, and some dirt might emphasize these. I say this to be as specific as I can be-I think these are really minor but I want you to have ALL the specifics and I also want you to ask me if anything needs clarification. Be sure to look at all the pictures. In researching this item I found a similar item on Ebay, but much smaller, for more than double the price, and an almost identical item having been sold by an internet antique site for 50% more than my asking price, albeit that one had no paint loss. Antique English Creamware Pottery Tea Pot, hunting scene, Wedgwood, c1775
Antique Ceramic English Creamware Pottery Tea Pot painted in enamel colors; on one side with a red-roofed house. Fence, trees and corn husks and on the other with a farmer walking with his rifle and with the red-roofed house in the background. The spout is molded at the base with acanthus leaves and the loop handle is ribbed. We attribute the Tea Pot to Wedgwood. Because of the pierced globe-knob(see Donald Towner, Creamware" pg. 207, fig 3) the use of which was typical of those found on Wedgwood pots and also because of the enameling which can be identified as the work of David Rhodes. The treatment of details and the colors used, red, black, green, rosy purple and yellow, in decorating this Tea Pot are both typical of Rhodes' work(see Donald Towner, Creamware" pg. 54 and"Creamware and other English Pottery at Temple Newsam ... moreHouse, Leeds" pg. 170) CONDITION: The tip of the spout was restored. There is also a minor hairline where the spout meets the pot(pictured in closeup) MEASUREMENTS: 6 1/2" High to the tip of the knop and 8" Wide from the tip of the spout to the widest point of the handle. Was difficult to get picture but it can be seen in the pictures. This Large hunting sword served a triple purpose in its time as a weapon in battle. Protection when hunting, and as a fancy dress addition that was in fashion at the time. It has a beautifully crafted silver inlay of a hunting scene on the stag horn hilt. I have never seen another like this one! The blade is fullered and it is a very heavy thick blade. There is some pitting on the blade, but it does not take away from its uniqueness and value. The heavy blade measures18 1/2 inches long and the sword overall is 24 inches long. The blade width is 1 1/4 inches and 1 3/8 inch thick at the ricasso. no scabbard. No Reserve. 3 Vintage foil pictures equestrian fox hunting scene, solid brass frame England
3 charming vintage foil pictures in solid brass frames made in England. The equestrian scenes show a fox hunt. These are straight from and estate auction in there original as found condition. The brass has not been polished and has some discoloration and pitting. The original hangers are all in tact. One picture has damage to the foil scene under the glass and the tabs that hold the glass in are missing so this currently sits loose in the frame but could be repaired in a variety of ways. I am the method of restoration/repair up to the buyer and have not attempted to fix this myself. The other two are in good shape with all the tabs in place. they measure just over 7 1/4" in diameter. A very Handsome set of 4 Hand painted bar glasses depicting foxhunting scenes. They are approximately 3 1/2" tall. 2" across at the base, and 3" across the top. These glasses are in very nice vintage condition-one extremely tiny chip on the rim of the glass with the grey horse, as shown in the photo with the pencil point at the chip.It's barely noticeable. Also some minor wear on the black paint of one glass, just on the boots and hat of the rider(as seen in the 5th photo) Overall in great condition, a very attractive set! Thanks for Looking:
