Description This is a nice 19th Century Victorian glass custard cup dating to around 1850. It has an applied swan neck handle with a stepped and curved bottom terminal. It is facet cut around the base of the bowl. Flavoured Custards and other Desserts were served in these little individual glasses. There is some roughness to one side of the curled terminal. The method of how the glass handle has been applied helps to date it to the Victorian era or even earlier. CONDITION: Unfortunately. There are two small cracks, stretching from the top of the inside rim, at a forked angle, at the handle position. Both measuring approx. 0.75 inches. The overall appearance is very good.
