Antique Dresser Jewelry Box Opalescent "Fire" Swirled Milk Glass Victorian
Gorgeous true-antique. Opalescent, milk glass dresser box for jewelry came from a great-aunt's estate. It is an ornate Victorian oval decorated with flowers and roses on the box and the lid. When the lid is held to the light, the edges glow red and orange. You can see the opalescence in photo 2) The bottom shows a lovely'swirl' of caramel color in the milk glass. The box measures six inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches high. The lid is slightly domed) The edges of the bottom rim are rough and glassy, but this is due to the way it was made, not because it is chipped. There is a rough'point' on the lid on the edge of one flower but it is only noticeable when you run your finger around the point. Beautiful shape considering it is over a hundred years old! Pair Antique Sandwich Opalescent Flint Glass Curtain Tie Backs c 1850 Offered for sale is this rare pare of opalescent flint glass and pewter curtain tie backs. In an unusual round style with deeply molded swirls. They were made by Boston and Sandwich and date to circa 1850. The glass is heavy flint glass that rings like metal when tapped, and is of a fiery opalescent color. They have their original pewter 2 piece posts. Each piece is 4 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide. When installed. The tiebacks stand 3 1/2 inches out from the wall. The pair weighs 12 oz(shipping weight 1 lbs) Condition: The pair is in excellent condition. Save for a few nibbles and the usual swirls and imperfections of such early glass. There is one tiny crack at the rim, very minor, as pointed out by the red arrow in the closeup picture. Please note that the line visible ... moreon the back of the tieback, to the left of the arrow, is not a crack but what is called a"shear mark" it is literally the mark left in the back of early pressed glass when the hot glass was cut off from the main gather with a pair of large metal shears. This is a wonderful brides basket sitting on a cherub figural stand! The stand is 10 1/4 inches tall and made of silverplate or possibly pewter? Not sure about that though. The finish is unlike the other baskets in that it does not appear to tarnish. I have had it for many years and it is exactly the same as the day I bought it. The basket is 12 inches across and has great cranberry opalescent ruffles on a white bowl. In excellent condition-no chips or cracks! Antique Green & Opalescent Spiral Optic Pitcher & Six Tumblers Ruffled late 1800
This listing is for a magnificent antique pitcher and six(6) tumbler set! The set is made with bright green and opalescent white spiral optic glass. I believe this set pre-dates Fenton Glass(1905) and is most likely made by New England Glass. The glass is medium in thickness and varies with the different colors. The pitcher has a ruffled rim that is edged with green. The green handle is applied. The pitcher measures 9" tall to the spout. 9 1/2" tall to the rim and is 6" across the rim. The body is 6 1/4" in diameter and is the base ring is 3" in diameter. The pitcher has a mold seam visible below the spout. The pitcher is in excellent condition with no nicks chips, cracks or other damage. There are six(6) tumblers. Each tumbler is 3 3/4" tall. 3 1/4" in diameter at the rim and 2 1/2" in diameter at ... morethe base. The rims of the tumblers feel a little rough or uneven but it is from the varying thickness of the white/ green/clear glass. There are no mold seams and the glasses appear to be hand blown. The bottoms vary in the length of the opalescent stripes extending towards the center(see pic#9) Five of the glasses are in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or other damage. This is a gorgeous. Opalescent, small bowl in pink or cranberry glass. It's the Hobnail pattern with a ruffled/fluted edge. The edge stands up in the back and gradually turns down in the front. it reminds me of a stand-up collar on a shirt) This may be referred to as a"ball bowl" as the inside is rounded. A tennis ball fits neatly inside with some room to spare! The bottom measures about 3" in diameter, as does the top opening) the diameter from ruffled edge to ruffled edge measures 6" and the height is 3.75" from the upturned ruffled edge and 2.5" from the downturned ruffled edge. Despite quite a bit of research, I've been unable to confirm who made it. Perhaps it's Fenton? My mom remembers it from the family summer home, circa 1930's or before. I have looked it over carefully, with the naked ... moreeye and magnifying glass, and have run my fingers around both the inside and outside. I can't detect any cracks, chips, fissures or flea bites. Vintage Antique Opalescent Vaseline Glass Shade Stalactite Form Art Nouveau
Beautiful Vaseline glass opalescent hand blown shade from the late 19th century. The shade is in mint condition there are no cracks chips or flakes on the shade. This lovely piece of glass was designed for a hanging stalactite fixture during the Art Nouveau era and the beginning of electric lighting. Antique Bohemian Victorian Blue Opalescent Art Glass Punch Bowl Cup Tray Set

There is multiple ribbons on vertical stripes of opalescent in the blue glass. Each is hand painted with gold gilt accents. The punch bowl with lid is 7-1/4" tall. With out the lid. The bowl is 5-1/4" tall. The rim is cut and is 6-1/8" diameter. Lid also has a cut rim and the diameter is 3-3/4" diameter. No chips, breaks or stains. Less than 10% fading to the gold gilt. The tray is 11-3/8" diameter. 1-1/4" tall. Rim 9s cut and with no pontil on the base. Less than 10% fading to the hand painted gold accents. There is two teeny flat fleabites on the rim for accuracy. Does not distract. Each demitasse cup is just under 2" tall with a ... more2-1/2" diameter rim and the low footed base is 1-3/4" diameter. Each cup has a cut rim. On the bottom of the low footed base. Is cut and polished along the perimeter of each cup. There is no chips on the rim, hairline breaks or stains. Each handle is applied and colourless glass. At the bottom of each handle is cut and polished. One cup has a handle that has been repaired, as the last pic will show. Very forgiving and still has function. The gold gilt on each cup can have 10-20% fading at best. Bohemian and from the Victorian era. No marked. Believed to be from Harrach. Loetz or other. There is other shapes in this blue opalescent decor that I have found over the years. With the size of the punch bowl, I'm curious to know if this is a salesman sample or a children's play set. You are invited to bid on this antique Victorian epergne horn and vase dating to approx. c1880's. The base of this lovely vase is cast in the form of three swans sitting on lily pads. It has been nicely cast with attention to the swans wing feathers and central bulrushes which support the vase. The horn vase is made from vaseline or opalescent glass with pink colouring inside. There are no makers marks to the base just a registration number 12132. I'm not sure what metal the base is made from. Maybe spelter?It measures approx. 6.5" tall. 10 Antique Opalescent Milk Glass Drawer Pulls - Real Stunners! Best I've Seen!
10 gorgeous antique opalescent milk glass threaded drawer pulls. Three small ones are 1 3/8" diameter. The seven larger ones are 2 1/8" diameter. Two of the large pulls each have a significant chip. See photos for detail. These pulls have been in my family since I was a little boy(I am now 64) My parents were antique collectors and these pulls were apparently original to a mid 19th century dresser that once belonged to my younger sister. Take note of the fact these pulls are threaded so they attach to a drawer without the head of a screw or bold in their center. They deserve another chance to brighten up someone else's family heirloom now. Originally there were 8 large and 4 small pulls. They are around here someplace and if I ever find them. Is hand blown in pearly opalescent white glass and cased in clear glass. Antique Bohemian Art Glass Basket Description: Basket is blown of pink opalescent glass with fire-glow hues. Bulbous shape with hand crimped rim. The applied handle is colourless glass with a few pinched thorns through out. The end of the handle has applied twig and extends outward on the pink opalescent bowl. There is four applied branch type feet with three upward twigs that are attached to the pink opalescent glass. Polished pontil on the pink opalescent bowl. Welcome to my auction for this lovely 19thC small thorn vase. Made from Cranberry coloured glass with an opalescent band around the top. And a much paler opalescent band further down. I think it is quite possibly by Thomas Webb. Condition& Size: It is in lovely condition apart from one very tiny dot of wear to the glass on one of the thorns. Mentioned for accuracy. One small white inclusion in the glass towards the bottom which is original to manufacture. Polished pontil with normal age-related wear underneath.
