RARE ANTIQUE SODA FOUNTAIN STRAWHOLDER EAPG CRYSTAL GLASS
First. This is not a vase. It is a glass straw holder. You may never have heard of a glass soda fountain straw holder. They are very rare to find and trace their origins back to 1888 when the first ones were introduced. Usually with lids. However, later pressed glass straw holders were available with and without lids. Few have survived the handling by customers and employees. This is a Early American Pressed Glass straw holder made by the U.S. Glass Company in the late 1800s in their Illinois pattern. 8 inches tall and 3 inches square. It has a deeply pressed pattern with star and fan designs. It is square and slightly flared at the bottom. There is one nick on the bottom edge and it can be seen in my photograph where the clarity, beauty and perfection of the straw holder can also be seen. Otherwise this beautiful old piece is in perfect ... moreand beautiful condition. The true value of the strawholder at this writing is $225 to $245, but the nick on the bottom precludes the request for the full price, so the offering has been reduced to $145.00 until it sells. Believe me when I say it is just as beautiful as the full price item because the very slight damage on the bottom edge does not ruin the enjoyment or the view or the use in any way of this lovely old survivor of the 19th century. 1.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp73%28b0g%60%60%3E1-141f138b125-0xf6-

Antique Victorian Pressed Amber Glass A GOOD GIRL Footed Cup EAPG ? Sowerby ?
Antique Victorian Pressed Amber Glass A GOOD GIRL Footed Cup EAPG? Sowerby? Antique 19th C Pressed Amber Glass Nursery/ Child's Mug or Footed Cup"A Good Girl" Offered for sale with no reserve! Here we have a lovely example of pressed glass- an amber coloured mug or cup with the words"A Good Girl" with floral sprays and a floral wreath on the reverse. I have seen similar pressed glass described as by Adams and Company of the USA- which would make it a piece of EAPG or early American pressed glass. However. It could have been made in the UK by a maker like Sowerby, Bagley or Davidson. The mug has been produced in a two part mould and there is a distinct mould line down either side. It measures 3 1/2 inches high and has a base diameter of 2 3/8ths inch. It is in very good order with just one tiny chip on the mould line ... morenear the rim. This could date from manufacture. It weighs 208g. This is a great example of 19th century pressed glass and ideal for a collector. Would also make a brilliant Christening or gift or Christmas stocking filler. IMPORTANT BIDDING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION: IF YOU PLAN TO BID ON THIS ITEM AND ARE THE HIGH BIDDER I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THAT YOU DO NOT PAY ME ... moreUNTIL YOU RECEIVE MY INVOICE NOT THE INVOICE THAT IS GENERATED IMMEDIATELY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SALE BY EBAY. Ebay now has rules that all sellers MUST ship items for which they have been paid within one business day without exception. Those who follow my sales and have bought from me over the years know that I have always had a policy of shipping within 24 hours of a sale(see my feedback) However, there are times when I am out of town unexpectedly for a house call, an auction or an estate call and it simply is not possible to get to the post office in time. Also, if you find that there is more than one item you are interested in bidding on over a given time period and would like to take advantage of combined shipping, please again, DO NOT pay me until the last of those items you're watching has finished. I will then send you an invoice with an adjusted shipping fee which saves on postage. I never charge a"handling fee" I would rather wait a few days on a payment and extend you the advantage of lower shipping fees than to be paid immediately- not ship- and then be scored negatively by eBay for not shipping soon enough. We believe to be circa 1880's EAPG humidor in the MONKEY ... morePattern made by George Duncan, offered in as-is/as-found condition. We can find quite a few examples of the spooners but none of what we are calling a humidor with the“monkey holding a coconut” finial. It measures 7-3/8” high to the top of the monkey’s head; 4-7/8” high to the top of the base alone(the convex lid is about 3-1/4” high with a 3-1/2” diameter rim) and the base measures 4-18” in diameter. In addition to the figural monkey clutching his coconut finial, there are three embossed monkeys seated around the body of the base with three palm trees in between– all have very good molding details. When held to the light there is nice opalescence to the base– the lid has blue opalescence showing around the rim edge. Condition: An old ¼” chip on one of the rim scallops, and a small bit of roughness& an interior surface flake on the opposite scallop. The bottom rim(under the embossed band) on the base has a considerable bit of continuous roughness, which can be better, felt than seen. The lid has an uneven shallow 1/8” high x ½” long rim chip to the left of the monkey, a 1/8” high x ¼” long rim chip to his right and a smaller nick
