The pedestal"splits" into two halves, revealing a center leg for stability. This is a beautiful Victorian Tiger Oak Quartersawn Solid and Veneer 54" Round table that opens to accept a leaf. We were very attracted to its classic octagonal column resting on a simple curving pedestal base rather than the kind of creepy animal claw bases we saw when we were looking for an antique oak dining table 30 years ago. We lost the leaf having moved twice since we purchased the table at the time we owned a Victorian home. But it would be easy to replace or replicate. The table is 30" tall with skirt 4 1/4" high. The table had a couple of repaired chips to the top when we bought it and over time it has another chip- please see the pics; t here are also some chips on the base- please see the pics. Here is a really cool French 19th century Breton solid oak table with a slightly oval top with gadrooned carved edge over an inset apron and mounted on a superbly carved scroll leg quadrupled base. The base has various fruits and lots of acanthus leaves and C scrolls of the period which may be as early as 1860. Width = 45" Length = 41" closed) Length = 83 1/2" open) There are no leaves. However, leaves could be easily made. I have a quote for $200 for 4 10 to 10 1/2 inches each. Height = 28 1/2" When pulled open. There are four solid turned legs which drop down to support the table ends. When the table is closed, these legs are just tucked up underneath the table along with the slide mechanism. There are no leaves, however, I can get a quote on making leaves for the table if desired. Beautiful large Renaissance Revival Walnut dining room table. The table has 2 large leaves. It opens and closes nicely and the leaves fit perfectly. The apron and the table legs both have raised burl panels. The table has a split base that locks and opens smoothly there is also a center leg that stays in the center when the table is extended fully. The old wheels were all replaced in the 1940s with antiqued high quality brass ones. Triangular piece and section of the lower apron came off(see photos) But I have the pieces and can be glued back on. Includes glass top. Circa: 1875. 45 inches in diameter. Local preferred. Victorian walnut 46 inch Round dining table extends to 8 feet ca. 1865?
This table was given to my mother in 1963 in Albany NY by a friend of hers that was moving cross country. At that time she told her it was about 100 years old. It was in peices and had several coats of paint on it. She spent a whole winter stripping and restoring it. She finished it with linseed oil and every year at Christmas would rub it down. It sat in the lobby of a resort they bought in 1978 and she was made several offers over the years. She gave it to me only months before she died it was absolutely her prize possession. I need to sell it I am moving to Japan and cannot afford to ship it and I need the money. It is solid walnut no makers mark that I can find. It extends to 8 feet but no leafs, a good cabinet maker could easily replicate some. no reserve. I am guessing the weight is about 80 to 100 lbs.

I always thought it was mahogany, but now that it is set up the top looks like solid black walnut on the very top, but the skirt and pedestal base are figural mahogany. Overall the condition is really nice and it is a nice table. It comes with no leaves. The condition of the table is as found showing minor surface scratches here and there and one lamination seam that is there but not pulling apart. The table is in very usable condition, but we do offer a full restoration for those who would prefer it. I am are pleased to be offering today this wonderful solid walnut Victorian dining table that is 45” round when closed up and comes with 5 original leaves. This table is 140" inches long when the leaves are installed by 29 1/2. Inches high. It has a very wide skirt on the solid walnut top, a molded a gorgeous color from the natural age patina from the 1890s. The curved legs are gorgeous with highly hand carved rosettes, buttons. The top will pull apart as you open up the table, which will open to right around 11 feet 6" so that it will accommodate at least 14 or more people. ANTIQUE Victorian wooden table CIRCULAR round CLAW FEET 1880 vintage furniture
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ROUND TABLE A delightful circular antique wooden table. Dating to around 1880. It boasts four original claw feet. Gripping onto the leg bases, all of which are carved from the same piece of wood as the leg. They are on the original Victorian metal rounded tips. Completely original and unaltered with regards to its structure! The joints are mainly glued into place. And there's very few metal screws in the construction. As you can see. It's got a number of scratches, dents and scuffs from over the years, and a bit of gentle restoration will have it looking simply superb. There are no signs of woodworm or damage from water or damp. While all measurements are as accurate as I can make them. They must be labelled as approximations, as I've rounded up and down rather than put in the millimeters. The top is 61cm in ... morediameter. Lip is 6cm. Then legs are 42cm. Total height is 48cm. The claw feet are 6cm square. This table has been varnished quite roughly at some point with a quite shiny varnish. Which looks rather glossy, so it's the perfect project if you're into removing the varnish and either revarnishing it with a matt varnish, or restoring it back to the original wood. GORGEOUS Round Antique Victorian Tiger Oak Dining Table with Paw Feet 45 inches
ORIGINAL. NOT REPRODUCTION. This gorgeous table is in perfect working condition and also in good antique condition in terms of the finish. It has a few shallow scratches and minor wear on the top. Overall. It's ready to use-no projects here! Splits in middle and slides nicely apart for use of leaves. This includes one original. Matching leaf. We also had 3 leaves made so we could expand this further-this coordinate well but are not a precise match, as they were made of a regular grained modern red oak. Once again, they look nice but are not an exact match. The new leaves mesh together with biscuits so they will match the top level of the table. The older leaf uses the original peg system. I am fairly certain that it is Walnut The legs are ornate with moon like carvings in them. the legs are attached to a turned spindle. Overall the table is in excellent condition no chips or missing wood. The top has markings that probably need to be cleaned up. The table has been stored in a dry environment for the last 12 years. Prior to that it was in our living room. Somewhen I have steel wheels/ castors that fit into the bottom of the table making it about an inch higher. Antique Solid Wood Victorian LAMP TABLE Ball and Spoke style Round Plant Stand
A great victorian round parlor lamp table that would also work well for a planter. Solid hardwood with dark satin that overall is in good condition with balls at base of spoke styled legs showing some loss. Fabric used as inly for pad is quite possibly original and in good shape only showing slight indent to where something sat for long period. The piece is 16" across the top and is 22.5" tall. The legs are a little wider than the top. Table has one seam in top that has separated but has little effect on the piece with one side still looking fairly tight. Please see close ups taken of each side of the fabric showing the continued line of seam I am talking about. Only other thing to mention is one of the decorative balls on underside is missing. We are pleased to be offering today this gorgeous Victorian turn of the century solid tiger sawn oak split pedestal base dining table that has two factory leaves and dates from the 1890s era in 100% professional refinished condition. It is a gorgeous table. It was beautiful when we started with it in the original finish but it had the typical surface scratches and marks. We completely stripped. And fitted the leaves, glued it up, belt sanded the top to make it level, hand sanded, stained, applied multiple coats of moisture resistant lacquer and finished it in a dark oak stain finish. It is now all set to go into the home for many years of carefree use. It comes with two 12 inch factory leaves and I believe the table will hold two more if you desire. It will cost $150 per leaf to have them fabricated if you desire an extra leaf. The table ... moreitself is gorgeous with strong tiger sawn accents. It has an unusual foot, almost like an Art Noveau style. The center leg opens to reveal a center leg for extra sturdiness.
