Condition: Used Location: Fairfield, United States This antique marble top parlor table features a carved fruit basket it is constructed of solid, black walnut, and has a turtle top white and gray marble ... moretop. This parlor stand features the typical shapely legs, carved frame, but what makes this table special is the carved basket of fruit in the middle of the bottom shelf. Sometimes you see these with a dog carved in them, but this is unique with the fruit basket. This table was really dry when we brought it in, it has been sanded down, over-stained it, and then re-lacquered it to bring out the gorgeous luster of the walnut from the Victorian era of the 1880s. The marble is in really nice shape! It has an OG, beveled edge, and just a couple of tiny little nicks, that we are only mentioning because we like to be thorough.

A wonderful table with all the bells and whistles of the Victorian era. The round top(hard to find round. Most were oval) features slightly inset marble~no sliding around. The apron has all four of its drop carvings. The base offers scrolling. Incised carving, great feet and a center carved urn. Solid and very sturdy, the marble does show some discoloration and a couple of chips on the edge. Not an apology, just a sign of age and character. A beautiful table from any angle, it will surely add the beauty of the Victorian era to any home. This 19th century table has its original turtle shaped beveled edge marble top that is in fantastic antique condition with no cracks or chips. The turtle shaped marble top rests on a conforming apron of rich walnut.And the table is raised up on four cabriole styled legs with a carved X type stretcher with a substantial tiered turned finial at the center, with a drop turned finial below. This table has a beautiful carved apron with dropped carved accents on all four sides. Incised& turned carved legs that encase the stretcher shelf with four out-swept feet with the casters intact. The beveled edge marble appears original and is in wonderful antique condition with no issues noted. The table does present with an old repair to one leg that appear solid, tight and not an issue I have shown this in a close up picture of the leg.A splendid table from another era in time just waiting for that special place in your home. This fine 19th century table features its original beveled edge oval marble top that is recessed into a walnut conforming table apron with gorgeous shell carvings on the apron. A large tiered finial adorns the center of the cross stretcher that joins the shapely carved legs. The marble is positively beautiful with no issues noted.
