It came in with some surface scratches on the solid top which we have sanded out, stained and re-sprayed it so that it is all ready to go into the home or office scratch free. It is in the dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish that is really nice. It has notch carved molding all the way around the skirt. The brass hardware is intact on the dove tail drawer. It has a round corner top that is solid mahogany, carved cabriole legs, carved elbows and a bottom shelf support. The table is 42 inches wide, 26 inches deep and 29 inches tall. It has a great look. Unfortunately you can't tell it from my pictures. they seem to worse than usual for ... moreme. at any rate, the light in the room is not good so i had a terrible time getting the camera to focus and then they were either too light or too dark. the bottom line is that the table is much much nicer in person. it is oval as you see, 46 inches long, 32 wide, and a bit less than 30 tall with casters. it has one drawer that is hard to see when closed, the front being contoured to match the contoured skirt. it is a great table and rolls easily on the casters. it has a sweet pedestal and the empire scroll feet. the feet of course are veneer, the rest of the piece is solid mahogany i believe. i will check it again to make sure and if otherwise i will add that to the listing when i get back upstairs to take a peek at it again. i bought it about 2 years ago and stuck it upstairs and forgot i had it. someone came by the house and had to sell it so they said, but not too bad for what i had to pay. they were not easy to deal with. the grain is just outstanding, however the pictures do not do it justice either. it has a couple of little dents that are not worth mentioning, one next to the drawer which can be seen in the pictures and maybe another little ding or two but maybe not. any tiny impertections do not distract from its beauty or function. it is as solid as it can be and does not wiggle, wobble, or have any loose pieces, the veneer is great and overall the table is in outstanding antique condition. it can be picked up at my home and shipped. i can help arrange shipment if that would be helpful. also i will be glad to do layaway on it should anyone be interested in doing such. good luck.

for auction a wonderful antique empire mahogany huge library table or partner's desk. it is 60 inches wide. 36 inches deep, and 30 inches tall. it has a full length drawers on both sides but they are of course on opposite sides. this is just a great piece. the double pedestal is so well carved and the feet are magnificent. it also has great carved corners. i took these pictures about dark so they lack a good bit quality wise, but maybe you can ascertain the quality and beauty of this table. it could have been made by thomas day, i am not sure who the maker, but whoever it was, the table is great. the feet are just the best i have ever seen. as you can see, there is a carved bundle of leaves and other items that come over the top of the stretcher and rest there. great piece. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's ... moreexpense. i can help arrange shipping should that be beneficial to anyone. good luck. ps. i paid a bundle for it some time ago and am just trying to get the investment back. i just took a look at the pictures, they are a bit dark and i pulled it out of the basement as i have room in the house for it and proceeded to dust it off with liquid gold. i see that i forgot to dust the stretcher. anyway, a good cleaning would do it good.

Mahogany & French Marquetry Inlaid Occasional Center Writing Desk Library Table
I wish I could take pictures that do a little bit better job of showing the color and minute detail in the inlay work performed on this piece. So. Try to use your imagination. The table is nicer then the pictures reflect. To be sure as to rather or not this piece is from France or American made I cant be positive. However, I have been told it is French and over 100 years old. For sure this is the best inlay work I can remember seeing including the mother of pearl laid in place throughout the piece. Dimensions for this table are 38 inches length, 26 inches width, 29.5 inches height. It will add to any home or office decor.

antique empire oval mahogany library table great grain
this is a gorgeous antique empire mahogany oval library table. Unfortunately you can't tell it from my pictures. they seem to worse than usual for me. at any rate, the light in the room is not good so i had a terrible time getting the camera to focus and then they were either too light or too dark. the bottom line is that the table is much much nicer in person. it is oval as you see, 46 inches long, 32 wide, and a bit less than 30 tall with casters. it has one drawer that is hard to see when closed, the front being contoured to match the contoured skirt. it is a great table and rolls easily on the casters. it has a sweet pedestal and the empire scroll feet. the feet of course are veneer, the rest of the piece is solid mahogany i believe. i will check it again to make sure and if otherwise i will add that to the listing when i get back ... moreupstairs to take a peek at it again. i bought it about 2 years ago and stuck it upstairs and forgot i had it. someone came by the house and had to sell it so they said, but not too bad for what i had to pay. they were not easy to deal with. the grain is just outstanding, however the pictures do not do it justice either. it has a couple of little dents that are not worth mentioning, one next to the drawer which can be seen in the pictures and maybe another little ding or two but maybe not. any tiny impertections do not distract from its beauty or function. it is as solid as it can be and does not wiggle, wobble, or have any loose pieces, the veneer is great and overall the table is in outstanding antique condition. it can be picked up at my home and shipped. i can help arrange shipment if that would be helpful. also i will be glad to do layaway on it should anyone be interested in doing such. good luck.
