Someone had a plant pot on it for years and it left a center ring on the top that is approximately 6 inches circular. It could easily be covered with another plant pot or lamp. The table is beautiful with a wide shapely ogee bevel edge white and gray grained marble that sits upon a rosewood and walnut hand carved base with outside legs that are joined together with a cross stretcher and center finial. The overall size is 41 inches long, 28 inches deep and 29.5 inches high.

It is a great table dating from the 1870s to 1880s. I am confident that it has had an overcoat applied at some point in its past, but it has a warm mellow touch to the medium walnut stain finish. The table consists of walnut and mahogany. It is all hand carved with the floral arrangements on the serpentine skirts and cabriole style legs. The four legs are joined together with cross stretchers in the center with a huge center finial that is an open cup. The overall size is 36 inches long, 26 inches deep and 30 inches high. The overall condition is good and tight. There are a couple of minute chips on the marble that we will detail out prior to shipping.

Couple tight surface cracks, few ligt stains, blemishes, and a light streak that I cannot determine the cause of, but overall very nice. SIZE: HEIGHT: 27" WIDTH of top: 20" by14" Nice and sturdy CONDITION: Table is excellent. Though I did take a closeup of a dark line you can feel, on one leg, and a closeup of the same leg on other side. As you can see, the line does not go all way through, so I do not know what it is. You may notice a few small areas of different tone, probably different pieces of wood took stain differently. The marble top is described above, and could use a gentle polishing, but not necessary. This parlor stand features the typical shapely legs, carved frame, but what makes this table special is the carved basket of fruit in the middle of the bottom shelf. Sometimes you see these with a dog carved in them, but this is unique with the fruit basket. This table was really dry when we brought it in, it has been sanded down, over-stained it, and then re-lacquered it to bring out the gorgeous luster of the walnut from the Victorian era of the 1880s. The marble is in really nice shape! It has an OG, beveled edge, and just a couple of tiny little nicks, that we are only mentioning because we like to be thorough.

for sale is a great contoured skirted pieced carved walnut marble turtle top table. near mint condition with no repairs or missing parts or pieces that i can see. there are a very few very minor scuff marks on the legs. Just small surface scratches, if they bother you, you can wipe a bit of stain over them and they are gone. at any rate, a very well heavy made table of the high victorian era, all original including the casters. it is a nice size table, being 33 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 30 inches tall. it has a wonderful finial on top of the stretcher. may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. i have 30 or 40 tables in my house and need to get rid of a few plus a bunch of other things. i have the house almost impassable at this point. anyway, i am starting most of the things i am listing at less than i paid years ... moreago for them. i have always tried to buy the nicest things i could afford, so you will find most of the things i have in good condition and quality. i will be listing more tables in time to come and also i have 9 bedroom sets upstairs, some of which i will be listing. i don't use any of the bedrooms and have them stacked full of all kinds of things.anyway, excuse the rambling. good luck

NICE RICH ROSEWOOD AND WALNUT WOODS. APPLIED FLORAL DECORATION TO SIDES. WITH CARVED FIGURAL SEAHORSE LEGS. TABLE IS VERY TIGHT LEGS AND APRON ARE VERY STURDY NO GIVE AND NOT LOOSE. BEAUTIFUL TURTLE MARBLE TOP TABLE. THIS TABLE WAS MADE AROUND 1860. TRUE VICTORIAN TABLE NOT A REPRODUCTION. MABLE TOP HAS BEEN REPAIRED THERE IS A CRACK THAT WAS PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED AS SEEN ON BACK. WHEN FIXED THIS WAY IT IS SAID THAT IT WILL NEVER BREAK IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. THERE IS A TIGHT CRACK LINE ABOUT 4" LONG. THAT IS TIGHT AND NOT UNSTABLE. ORIGINAL PORCELAIN CASTORS. MEASURES 26 1/2" DEEP. 35" WIDE AND 29" TALL. WEIGHT IS 75 LBS TOTAL.

This table has a beautiful carved apron with dropped carved accents on all four sides. Incised& turned carved legs that encase the stretcher shelf with four out-swept feet with the casters intact. The beveled edge marble appears original and is in wonderful antique condition with no issues noted. The table does present with an old repair to one leg that appear solid, tight and not an issue I have shown this in a close up picture of the leg.A splendid table from another era in time just waiting for that special place in your home. Shell Carved Victorian Fancy Walnut Marble Top Parlor Center Lamp Table c1875 Being offered for sale is this Elegant Victorian Renaissance Revival Recessed Oval Marble top Lamp Parlor Table circa 1875. This fine 19th century table features its original beveled edge oval marble top that is recessed into a walnut conforming table apron with gorgeous shell carvings on the apron. A large tiered finial adorns the center of the cross stretcher that joins the shapely carved legs. The marble is positively beautiful with no issues noted. There is a small piece of carving missing on one end of the apron up under the shell carving see close-up picture.nothing major in my opinion and appears to have been missing for a while.This table is solid.
