Measurements are: 30" in height and 38" in width(2 board) top. Bottom of storage section is a single board measuring 15" in width. The table top makes a settle bench in the up position and a table top in the down position with bench storage underneath the hinged seat lid. Unit still retains some of it's original grain painting over pine boards- as shown in photo. Of course. It has square nails and very early screws. This is a primitive settle hutch purchased from an estate in Ashville. Alabama- and likely period to the home which was built in 1835. I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: The colors seen in the photos are not completely accurate. The table has two colors. The table top is almost a pale Robin's egg blue and the lower part of the table is more green than blue. It is possible the top is not original but if it's not it was replaced a very long time ago. The table is straight out of a barn from a farm near Odessa. Missouri where it had been for many, many years. I would guess it dates to the mid 1800's if not before. It is an all hand made ... morepiece and the pegs holding it together are obvious, some protruding from the surface. There are also nails where it had been repaired, probably several times, but even those are very old. The paint looks to be completely original. I couldn't find evidence of any color underneath. The paint, of course, is very worn. There is even a small amount of old newspaper stuck to the top. As it is seen in the photos is exactly how it was found. The boards, one especially, are a little loose on top but I will leave it up to the buyer to take care of that. I'm not going to do any repairs. At this time it's about as original as an old primitive gets. It's probably been on that farm from the day it was made. It is about 49 1/2" in length, 31 3/4" in width and about 29 1/4" in height. I didn't find any dry-rot on the table. Please do not ask for this item to be shipped. It is for local pick up only. No exceptions. It has a charming drawer pull. Which isn't original, but late 1800s. There are hand carved areas to the front drawer where a lock and key slot were once located. The piece has a traditional wax finish, with remnants of earlier paint in the corners. The wood has a wonderful patina and various imperfections, splits and the top is slightly warped upwards on the sides. It's very solid and heavy. The drawer slides nicely. Pegged. 4 top boards, sits 30 inches from ground, 65 inches long, 36 and half inches wide. Table shows some wear. Looks like cup stains in two spots, some fading in spots, all can be fixed easily, being sold as found. I had this table checked by three people. Two said its old and has great character, the other said it could be a composite piece. Antique Primitive Baker's Table 18th Century All Original
What a find we have here. This is an incredibly unique antique Baker's table dating to the 1700's and was found in VT. I have never seen a table constructed quite like this one. The details. Joinery and hardware are very unique. I have had this piece viewed by multiple reputable antique dealers and they all agree that the piece is probably of European origin, judging from the hardware, hand carved legs, and general style. The wood for the frame and legs is likely oak and the top looks to be pine. The base patina is rich and dark, the top is almost a scrub top, incredibly smooth and worn from hundreds of years of work. The two doors are held on by pintle hinges that are very primitive. They are hammered into the case. They are actually loose and can come out if pulled. The iron latches work great and hold the doors securely. Inside ... morethe case is wide open, plenty of room for storage. The stretcher between the legs is very cool. It is a dovetail joint secured with rose head nails. There is minor worm damage to one of the front edges, but it is pretty minor. Really no other issues. Just great patina and textures that you expect and love to see on a piece this old. The top is pulled up a bit on the back edge but it is securely fastened. It does not appear to be cut down or altered in any way. Dimensions of the top are 24 x 41 and it stands 27 1/2 high. Currently the table is for sale in the Essex Old Saybrook Antique Center in CT. I am not listing this with a shipping price, it will say Local Pick Up only. It can be picked up in CT or Boston. We can also arrange for personal delivery to your address in any New England state for a very reasonable fuel charge. Hi. This is an excellent primitive antique drop leaf side table. I believe this table would have been used as a work table in the kitchen of a very small house or cabin. Circa should be early 1800's but could be earlier? It's a high table and with the leaves up.it could be used with chairs. The wood looks to be Butternut with wonderful thick hand turned legs mortised and pegged and porcelain wheels. Charming primitive worn wormy top that measures 41 3/4 inches across with leaves up. It stands a 29 inches high, 24 3/4 deep and 20 3/4 inches with leaves down. This table has been professionally refurbished with the integrity of the antique piece in mind. This antique pine farm table measures 76" long. 47 1/2" wide(31 1/2" wide with sides down) 29 1/2" tall from floor to table top, 22 1/4" distance from floor to bottom of apron. It is strong. Sturdy, solidly constructed with a rustic knotty top, time worn dings, scratches and age gaps appropriate to its age. It has turned legs and wood slides in the base to hold the sides in place when they are extended. The top and base have been'married' You will often find old farm tables where the pieces have been married together. The bases had to be replaced because the legs were placed in sugar water to prevent ants from coming on to the table. Thus causing the legs to deteriorate. Primitive Antique 1860-1880 Rustic Work Table with Original Green Milk Paint
Unique 1860-1880 work table that functions perfectly as an accent. Side or even bedside table. The piece features a single hand dovetailed drawer and measures 34 inches long, 20.5 inches deep and 23.5 inches high. At some stage, I believe the legs were cut down from their original length. There is some dog claw damage to the one corner where the hand-rubbed finish was removed by my Boston Terrier as he would stand to greet passersby and at some stage in its history. Handmade Antique Primitive Walnut Dinning Table 6' x 4', Medium Wood Tone
This is a beautiful table as shown in the 12 pictures posted. This walnut table is approximately 4 ft. wide which includes the two 6" drop down sides and 5' 6" long. The top is made from only 2 wide boards. It does have places on it as one would expect from a table of this age. I've shown the distressed place on one end of one of the drop sides. The previous owner. Here in NC said the table has been rubbed down with tongue oil and that's it. The table is approximately 23" from the floor to the bottom of the table apron. It's approximately 29" from the floor to the table top. The former owner had this table appraised at $1,200. Please email me with any questions.

It was purchased from an estate sale of an East Coaster who had two such tables and, lucky for me, selling the best one! It has a leaf at each end that folds up to make an oval table that measures 48 by 60 inches. It will then expand to make a table that measures 44 by 96 inches. But the center leafs are missing. you would have to fabricate your own. Or I can give you some oak boards to do that. This table is unique it that it comes with a fifth leg that fits in the center for when you expand the table.The finish is worn off the fifth leg. An antique 19th century primitive drop leaf table in walnut with turned legs. It measures approximately 28-3/8" tall and 41-5/8" wide. With the leaves folded down. It is about 20.5" long. Each leaf adds about 15.5" so with both leaves open, you will have about a 51" long table. We believe it is American and we do not know the maker. CRAFTSMAN/Stickley Style TABLE/STOOL-Unusual VICTORIAN 1890-Oak Top NATURAL TREE WOOD BASE/Original BARK HISTORY: ~Was used either as a table or a stool. It is uniquely Victorian. Quite uncommon and unusual. Most likely dates to around 1880 to 1890. ~Entirely traditionally hand-made by a professional furniture-making craftsperson long ago. ~Also quite reminiscent of Stickley or Craftsman furniture. Especially on top. Hard to find and not commonly seen. It was almost surely hand made by a trained artisan. PROVENANCE: ~Came out to Washington State from Pennsylvania 30 years ago. ~Was from a family estate in a large family home in rural Pennsylvania. The home was located outside of the really teeny town of Arch Rock. Pa. which is outside of Mifflintown, PA. also a small town, located between State College and Harrisburg. There it had been long ... moreago lovingly packed and stored up in the large attic, and ramained there for several decades previous to its trip to Washington State. MATERIALS/MEASUREMENTS/DESIGN: ~Table/stool top is made of antique ancient-growth solid oak. It measures 12x12 inches on top. ~Handsome chamfered edges were added for refinement of the design. They make the unit look lighter and add beauty. Nicely cut corners provide the same function. ~Entire piece measures a total of 16-1/2 inches high. ~Base under top is made of natural tree branch wood of various widths. The wood is unique because it has been kept preserved in its original natural state. It was lovingly used as found on the original tree. Complete with original bark coating still firmly attached. Smaller twig branches were removed and smoothed over. ~Natural legs of the base make a handsome and remarkably interesting contrast with the refinement of the hand worked oak: in texture. This is a wonderful antique plank top farmhouse table with the most desirable red washed finish. If you love the primitive look you will love this table! It has drop leafs. With the leafs down it measures 43.5" L x 22.5" W x 28.5" H. With the leafs extended it measures 49" W. The table is very sturdy and would make an excellent dining room or kitchen side table. One of the hinges does need replacing as it has rusted through with age. One leaf is also turned up a bit as happens with very old wood. It's more noticeable when the leafs are extended than when they are down. Of course it comes with all the dings and marks of a piece this old but this adds to the character. Adding two benches and two end chairs would be a good way to utilize this great table for dining! One only needs two pegs for the up position. The arms are in a U shape(hence the trestle) and the table top can flip up from either side. The finish is older. There are plenty of dings and patches, but overall it is in very good condition. The table top is 57 3/4" long, and 37 1/4" wide. It is 52" tall open as a bench, and 29 3/4" tall closed as a table. The seat is 17 1/4” from the floor. The pegs(4 total) are all about 7" long. I have had this for over 30 years myself and have used it in many rooms as both a table and a bench. The storage area holds a lot of things.
