The only issue to report is that one of these ormolu corners is missing a drop. This piece has been painted over in gold. Offered for sale is this antique French hand carved wood wall picture frame. It decorated with flowers and leaves design. It has old picture of a lady in it. I opened up the framing and saw a interesting antique stock share holder paper backing the picture. It has a date but couldn't find the year on it, perhaps it has been cut off. The frame is in very good condition for age, it does have some minor chips on top of roses' petals, they are unnoticeable. I believe this is a late 19th century piece, possibly was from France. The backing thin oval shaped wood board is solid hard wood thin cut. The old hanging wire is rusty, I put a new one. The frame is 22-1/2"H x 13-3/4"W x1-3/4"Thickness. This wonderful early OAK picture or mirror frame measures 36" X 23 1/2" on the outside. The frame is 3/4" thick. 3 1/2" wide leaving an inner measurement of 29 1/2" X 16 1/2" The inner edge is beveled and it weighs 8 lbs. As seen in the picture it is strung to hang either verticle or horizontal. I believe it to be from the 1920's. It is just a great old frame. This vintage print is signed and dated- Copr. S. Colep 3-15-42. It depicts a Victorian woman seated and a man standing behind her holding flowers. It is pretty pastel shades of pink and turquoise with reverse painting in black trim. The frame is decorative off-white wood with a scroll design and measures 6 1/2 across by 8 1/2 high. Antique Mother of Pearl Inlayed Picture Frame
We are offering an antique picture frame that is inlaid with mother of pearl in butterfly and leaf patterns. The Lacquer has some very minor crazing which only adds to the attractive appearance. We purchased this at an estate sale and the granddaughter said her great grandmothers picture was in it. But her brother took it. There is a rectangular pocket in the back that holds a picture which measures about 9 ¼” x 7” And the oval opening is 8 ½ x 5 ¾” The frame is 14” X 10 ½” If you missed the one listed by some other seller last month don't miss this one. These picture frames were made in the 1940's and have WWII cover girl Gale Robbins posing for the frames. I wish all the frames have this picture on them. These frames are 4" X 3" the size of the the photograph area is 2" X 1 3/4" they all are made of cardboard, they look like leather and even are sewn together and have real glass instead of a cheap plastic that would be cracking by now. You have to remember that during WWII people were unable to afford nice things they made little money and everyone had to use Ration Books, buying so much gas and meat and even bread, All items gas, food and even leather were used for the war effort. These frames are a blast to the past. Instead of paying a high price for a beautiful leather frame. This is an Antique Picture Frame. It dates from the mid 1800's and measures 12 3/16ths by 14 3/16ths inches. It is black lacquer over wood with gold gilt. This is frame in frame construction. One wood frame inside another. The outer frames black lacquer is cut or carved to reveal the chalk or plaster underneath that is over the wood. Shown in my photos is a corner view of the construction and a view of each corners hand cut decoration. It has a cheezy 1960's Robert Wood copy print in it, I'm sure you can do better than that! Good condition for its years, but not without minor flaws.

These pictures are rectangular bubble glass. Wood framed, with plaster of paris decorations. The pictures are hand tinted and in excellent shape. I think they may be from the 20s or 30s. The man has a couple of small chips on the right hand side, as the picture shows. The lady picture has a small rubbed spot on the bottom as shown in picture. Other than that they're in beautiful shape. We bought them in Kansas about 32 years ago. I think they may be anniversary pictures. This comes from a smoke free house, thanks for looking. It is in a round Ogee wood/plaster frame with a painted grain finish( common to this Era) This Manger Scene is covered by Convex glass and t he picture and glass are approximately 15 inches in diameter. The entire Picture measures approximately 21 inches in diameter including the frame. This Print is in Lovely condition and all colors are brilliant. The frame is sturdy but not without some wear as some of the painted grain finish has worn off in places. It is backed with cardboard and picture is held in by small nails. A gold piece of cording with a picture mold hanger was attached at sometime to the back of the frame by two small eye hooks. This is a fine example of Religious Art especially for it's age. Gorgeous! Antique Carved Ornate Victorian Frame 16 x 20
Don't pass this one up! A gorgeous. Ornate picture frame from the Victorian era, in fantastic condition. Beautifully made, this wood frame has very elaborate carved flowers and scrolls decorating the corners and center parts of the frame. There are a few very small, minor losses to the frame and I have taken photos of those. This is a solid frame and is in excellent condition for its' age. The frame will fit a work of art that is 16 x 20. The overall size of the frame is 20 x 24. The reverse side of the frame has an old cotton cord still attached and has some old pieces of backing paper on the edges. Frame does not have any glass or backing board. VINTAGE WOOD FRAME w/ ORIGINAL GILT FINISH– ROPE TWIST CARVING AROUND THE OPENING FOR THE GLASS- circa 1960’s– 1970’s with original gold tone finish- contains an old colored print– an ALICE IN WONDERLAND SCENE– THE MAD HATTER’S TEA PARTY. The print has no discolorations. No stains, no tears. Good coloring on the print. Initial type mark on the lower left side of the print– below Alice’s chair. Original mat on the frame that has an opening just less than 11 inches by 14 ½ inches. Corners of the wood frame are good– no wiggle. A few superficial scratches on the outer edge of the frame– probably from“use” and handling. The frame has glass and a cardboard backing and weighs just less than 7 pounds before any packing materials. The frame measures 17 ½ inches by 21 inches from the outside. With the opening for the glass of about 14 by ... more17 ½ inches. Original paper back covering over the back so difficult to get an exact glass measurement. About 1/2 inch of the bevel shows all around the front edges. The gold tone frame– maybe gold leaf– is in good condition. Some dust accumulation on the front– the reason for the slight gray on the photo. The frame is wood. With an applied gesso carving. Carved border around the opening for the mirror. Curved outer edges with a large design in each corner and small design on each side. Frame is tight– no wiggles or spaces at the corners. Old cardboard backing. Discoloration) due to the delicacy and age of the paper, but for their age, they appear to be in good shape. Both say“Pubish’d June 10, 1802, by I. Hinlon, 44, top of Wells Street, Oxford Street, under the title. The prints measure 13.5" wide and 9 3/4" high. The frames measure 19" wide and 15 1/4" high.
