Offered is a pair of Hand Painted Porcelain portraits of early 19th c. ladies in matching. Exquisite, gesso, hand carved Rococo, frames. Both the portraits and the frames are in very fine condition with no breaks, repairs, mars, etc. Each measures 12 x 9 x 3 inches and are signed Wagner in the lower right hand side. The frames are hand carved with applied gesso, gold paint, and highlighted with gold leaf. I'd venture to say they date from around 1900. This auction is for an English Edwardian Carved Regency Style Chess Set in boxwood based on the French Regency or Regence style. It has the original box. This set belonged to my Grandfather and has his name written on the bottom. I can't tell you all of the history. Antique Black & Gold Hand Fan, Circa 1900
This is a very unusual fan- haven't seen one like it. The black silk leaf is in perfect condition. Decorated with gold spangles. The sticks are wood, painted gold. There are round wooden circles on top of the leaf, matching the design on the lower sticks. The washer is MOP, the loop is brass, and the black and gold tassel is really pathetic, but I left it in. If you want to keep it, that's fine. The only problem(besides the tassel) is that one of the round circles on top(in the middle of the fan- see photo 4) has been glued. The fan measures 8-1/2" long and 15" wide when open.

A wonderful hand carved antique statue depicting a beautiful young woman wearing a distinctive traditional peasant wear. Her carved face is like an angel. It's an elegant hand-crafted art object. This is an antique by age circa 1890-1900. I inherited it from family and the estate recorded it as circa 1800s to early 1900s. The paper work stated it was a white marble bust(no mention of alabaster) and no recorded artist. It could be alabaster without the porousness. The base is marble slab with grey and black veining. The face. Hair, hair covering and clothing were carved with precise details and you can see the tooling marks that were made before any carving began. Antique African American Charcoal Portrait in Color. Circa: 1890-1900. Victorian Origin: Chicago. South Side Dimensions: 19.5" height x 13"wide Media: Colored Charcoal on Paper. Tin Backing. A wonderful portrait of a young African American woman in Victorian attire. The photograph portrait is finely executed on paper. Signs of wear and age are evident. Minor stain as shown, creases to the tin and portrait, otherwise the colors are vibrant and the piece is in good condition. The portrait will be carefully packed with a sturdy backing and box. Please note the tin backing bends easily and will require a stiff board to display. This item is guaranteed authentic as described and is indeed a fine piece of Black Americana. Antique Art Nouveau Hand Fan, Purple Flowers, Bone Sticks & Guards, Circa 1900
This is a beautiful hand fan with purple flowers painted all over and down onto the bone sticks. The right guard is also painted. The washers are MOP and the loop is brass. The silk had started to split in a couple of places so I had a conservator line the back of the fan with gauze. The fan is 9-1/2" long and 17-1/2 wide.

Antique Art Nouveau Hand Fan, Fontage, Birds, Signed, Circa 1900
Tbis is an adorable fontage Art Nouveau hand fan with light brown celluloid sticks and guards. The loop is brass. Across the top of the fan are gold sequins. There is a split down the middle of the fan so I had a conservator put a gauze backing on the back of the fan to secure the split. It is signed by Petit Galaux(I can't read the signature very well- maybe you'll have better luck) The fan measures from 6" to 9" in the middle. It measures 11-1/2" across.
