This holy water font was found in an antique shop at least 25 years ago. I believe it goes back to the 1950s or 1960s based on a similar one I remember my mother having. The metal appears to be pewter but I'm not sure. It features a detailed statue of the Virgin Mary holding Baby Jesus. It is in very good condition with no missing parts or repairs. A tiny piece of metal has chipped off the back next to the hanger. It does not affect the ability to hang this item. Tarnish and/or patina is typical of age. It measures 6 1/4 inches high. 3 1/4 inches wide at the bottom and extends 1 1/4 inches from the wall. MADE IN FRANCE 2357 is embossed on the back. You are looking at a great embossed Holy Water Bottle with a double cap. It is in very nice and clean used condition. There are no cracks or chips noted. There is some sticker residue on the back. It measures about 5" tall and 1 3/4" wide. The embossing shows some wear. But all the words are legible. The white part of the cap screws off and the black part has a small hole in it to let a small amount of liquid to come out at one time. The black cap screws off as well. This is a stunning lot of 3 vintage holy water bottles. the first is a large figural hand painted Virgin Mary bottle which has nice detailing and a crown lid measuring 7 1/2 inches. the second is a heavy brass holy water bottle with a depiction of Mary on the face. Made by Creed, and measures 3 3/4 inches. the last is a clear glass bottle that reads"holy water" with a cross above.it has a bakelite top with a small hole in the tip measures 4 by 1 1/2 inches. nice lot. Attatched to it is a 100 Year Celebration Charm. 11 inches Tall 14.5 inch diameter around the largest part 6.5 inch diameter around the cap on top The handle-strap is made of plastic and due to age and hardening of the plastic. Hi. Offered here is a vintage Holy Water bottle. Has a bakelite lid. But I think it is missing the very top of it. There is a number embossed on the bottom that says 2303. There are also two other embossed marks that I am uncertain what they are. The bottle is 4" tall( that is without adding the lid) No cracks, breaks or repairs. This is an old Holy Water font. The font is made of what seems to be porcelain. And, naturally, is white; gold-tone accents. The Font opening is large enough for about two adult fingers. The font displays Our Lord on the Cross, with Adam's skull at its base, with(one would assume) Our Lady and St. John on either side. Back is stamped in red"MADE IN HOLLAND. Overall, the font is in good condition for its age in my opinion. The font measures approximately 4 and 1/4 inches tall and 2 inches wide.
