Antique pair of green glass crocodile / alligator knife rests - very unusual!
This is a delighful pair of very unusual green glass knife rests. Fashioned as crocodiles(or alligators) they are really charming! One of the crocs has part of his front tooth missing. The other has two front teeth missing. Considering how fragile they are and how old, this is minimal damage. All the feet are in place and all the other teeth. Unusual Form Vintage Antique Cut Etched Glass Cruet Sterling Silver Stopper
This very unusual cruet stands 6-1/2 inches tall and is about 6 inches wide. Cut glass and etched with a grape design. It has a long spout and a bent neck. The sterling top of the stopper is an acorn shape. The lower edge of the acorn has a tiny dent and also a very small hallmark(or 2 hallmarks, one a mis-striket? I am unable to decipher the hallmark. The glass portion of the stopper has a thin, shallow channel running lengthwise. It is clearly from manufacture and is not a crack and does not compromise the piece, Very interesting and unusual. I was only able to find one other like it on the internet.

A sweet glass bird may be by Sowerby It is uranium so glows under uv light.He is unusual as all the birds I found had wings up and sat on bases. I can think of three uses for this piece. They hold no water, but they do hold your attention. The metal is ormolu, with the well known pattern. Antique Lucky Horseshoe glass~Early 1900s Drinking Glass turning Purple~Unusual!
This old drinking glass is really cool-it is faintly turning purple and has a horseshoe indented into the very bottom; I'm not sure who is the maker but it's a really interesting item! This glass looks to be from the earlier part of the 20th century and measures 3 1/2" high X 3" top diameter; please check all of my pics carefully as this glass does have some wear-it has some tiny bubbles in the glass itself. Deep amethyst glass of bulbous shape with light spiralling rib-moulded effect and sand pontil. Item remains in very nice. Clean, original condition with no damage or notable wear. Exterior surface has a very fine pitted texture, most likely caused by the technique of manufacture, but this is quite discreet and acceptable in my opinion. Offering a white with green leaves antique glass bouquet on wire armature. Have no idea of its history nor original use. Could have simply been a decoration for a December Wedding or even Bridal Bouquet. Large at approx. 19" long by 9" deep by 4" tall. In excellent condition- one broken white petal on the far left- 38 white glass'petals' with approx. 21 green'leaves' Just found one broken green'leaf' on the bottom while counting. Round glass center beads in the middle of each of the 3'flowers' Looks brownish in the pics- isn't so in person. Cotton or silk thread over wire armature- worn a bit. I believe Victorian or up to WWl and also Poinsettias- not positive but appears to me. An unusual and large. Heavy piece. In good condition so may have been under a glass dome.
