Antique Victorian Picture Frame - All wood ornate design Gold 10 1/2 x 12 1/2
This is a beautiful Victorian frame. Oval with ornate design all around. Has a 1 1/2" depth. Has a pretty wedding photo in it that looks to be c1910-20. Can be easily replaced. Frame is in good condition. However has a couple of defects, two minor cracks in the wood that have been touched up and don't effect the use of the frame at all, its only on the front layer doesn't go all the way through. I have taken pictures of them close up. Frame measures 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 and the picture is 6 x 8. Very nice piece from the past. TERMS: Payment is due within 3 days from end of Auction. 2 Matching Large Antique Picture Frames with Religious Prints. These are 2 very gorgeous antique gesso frames. Ornate, and very rare, with beautiful prints of Jesus and Mary. The frame with Jesus print measures 23" x 19-1/8" frame with Mary measures 23-1/2" x 19-3/8" The Jesus print is titled"ECCE HOMO" and is signed, not sure of the signature, looks like L. Cojic? The print of Mary is Titled"Sacred Heart of Mary" 1923. This set is in very good to excellent condition, considering the age. The prints have some light spots or marks, the frames have some minor damage, which aren't noticeable due to the intricate design. LARGE ANTIQUE DEEP WALNUT FRAME WITH BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE ENGRAVING OF TWO WOMEN– name on lower center is“PRES DES CASCADES– NEAR THE FALLS. Walnut frame and engraving are both circa 1860– 1880’s. Probably original to the frame. Old wavy glass and old wood backing. Both probably original to the frame. Two women are seated near waterfalls– each is wearing a fancy Victorian dress. Bonnets, and one is holding a parasol. Maybe Niagara Falls? Antique print has some all-over age discoloration. More noticeable on the margins than on the print. The discoloration does not detract from the print because it is hardly noticeable. Framed in an early Victorian walnut frame with original Victorian gold tone liner- both in original condition– a few discolorations on the gold tone liner– especially on the lower edge– see my pictures. The outer corners of the ... moreframe are tight– no wiggle. No spaces. Frame has old glass and wood backing. The lower right edge of the print is marked: ANNEDOUCHE SCULP. The lower left edge is marked: BROCHARD PINX The lower center has the title of the print PRES DES CASCADES– NEAR THE FALLS. In small print below the engraving is IMPRIME PAR ALFRED JARDON JEUNE 3 RUE RACINE PARIS. At the very bottom is AM WASSERFALL. I have added photos of the writing but it is very light. Frame outside edges measured from the back are 26 ½ inches by 31 ¾ inches. Frame& contents weigh about 12- 13 pounds before any packing materials. Beautiful antique Victorian Eastlake hand painted gold accented shadow box frame. This piece is in overall good antique condition. With some wear from age to the frame. It has some slight nicks, but no big chips. Very nice piece. There is a chip to the wood piece that holds the pictures in place, it won't be seen when it is in use. Great estate find! A deep gold leaf and coppery gold painted applied molded carvings frame dating to the late 1800's to early 1900's. Antique French Hand Carved Wood Wall Picture Frame 22-1/2"H
Offered for sale is this antique French hand carved wood wall picture frame. It decorated with flowers and leaves design. It has old picture of a lady in it. I opened up the framing and saw a interesting antique stock share holder paper backing the picture. It has a date but couldn't find the year on it, perhaps it has been cut off. The frame is in very good condition for age, it does have some minor chips on top of roses' petals, they are unnoticeable. I believe this is a late 19th century piece, possibly was from France. If you're looking to frame an Old Master piece in an appropriate frame. Then this could be the one you're looking for. It's an Italian frame, finished in what I think is gold leaf, and I think it probably dates from the 1920s. This frame comes with a beautiful spandrel and can be used with or without it. Without the spandrel, the rabbet is 11&1/2" by 11&1/2. With it, the diameter is 9&3/4. Overall, the frame is 15" by 15. Condition is as found and as shown. 2 Real Antique Vintage Matching Wood Picture Frames 40' 50'S ???
These are both real old wood picture frames. I know they are at least from the 50's cause they were my grandmothers. I havent cleaned them at all either so they come with some old dust too. There really isnt any damage on them other than that back where the wood splits a little bit. Other than that they are real nice and for someone who knows a thing or two about proper wood restoration they would be an easy clean. They are deep dish too and measure 14 x almost 12" wide on the very outside. The inside opening where the picture goes is for an 8x10. The edge measure over 2" too. The frame measures 22 1/2" across and with 19 1/4" opening. The Frame itself is 1 1/2" wide with ornate art deco carvings. No glass and will need a hanger or wire installed for you application. It looks like the front is done with a plaster type finish then painted, in the picture that shoes the little damage it looks like plaster, it is a white powdery substance The frame is from the1800's. It's really lovely frame with the gold and ornate corners. Very elegant. It's in really very good shape. A little wear/tear, there is a little wear in the corners showing the white, the worst being in the picture I took, so would need repairing, or leave it to show the great character it has, it needs a very good cleaning has been stored away for years and is dirty, I will leave that to the buyer or professionals, the glass looks to be fine, the back looks all original, the backing has some staining ... moreand is a bit wavy, has the original wire and eye hoops, all the old nails are there, Great Frame! The frame is late 1800's early 1900's hand made. It's a really neat frame when you pick it up you can feel the weight of the wood. Really nice. It's in really very good shape. Very little wear/tear, the frame is 2" wide around the edges, the glass looks to be fine, the back has the old paper that seems to be attached to the backing of the print, has the original eye loops, the wire is old, but looks at some point to have been replaced. The picture is a print that looks wavy inside the frame and not in very good condition. But the frame is the most collectible. I am offering this lovely little hand carved antique Chinese picture frame with a photograph of a young boy. My husband purchased this frame yesterday through an estate liquidation. The oval frame measures 2 3/4" tall X 2 1/8" wide. It has an easel back with 3 locking tabs. The frame is in good antique condition. However. The frame has replaced feet and there is a carved hole in the top that probably held a ball finial. This exquisite frame features intricate pierced carving with birds and flowers. It's a beautiful little frame for a small photograph or miniature painting. I believe the frame dates to the early 1900s. Thanks for looking!
